We have improved the game with the following:
Optimization Update v1.5.0.8
- Further battle fps optimization. Fixed lag caused due to UI refresh when selecting a ship. Other optimizations increase the battle fps smoothness, even when a battle includes many ships. Note: We have investigated and seen a freeze issue when loading modified versions of the game. Please do not report bugs to us when you modify in any way the game files because it is not helpful at all.
- Improved AI division logic. AI ships will now more actively protect the transports. Scout/Screen divisions will maintain a safer distance from enemies and move closer to the main formation.
- Reduced GDP growth penalty due to war and increased the impact of Transport Capacity losses in GDP Growth. As a result, wars will not suddenly impact negatively a player but transport losses will be more severe to growth, especially to players who neglect guarding their seas and choose to make one unrealistic huge fleet of battleships to win every battle engagement.
- Improved Transport Capacity gain or loss according to GDP to be more dynamic.
- Submarines became much more capable in hurting the transports and to defend themselves. Submarines remain fragile vs surface ships with good ASW and depth charges but their strategic role is now in the proper base.
- Balanced Campaign AI to be more productive overall.
- Balanced ship pitch/roll mechanics. Previously the small ships could roll too much.
- Balanced guns friendly fire mechanics to not be so strict as before, to evaluate more accurately when to make guns not fire when friendlies are close.
- Fixed minor border issues in the region of west Africa.
- Further auto-design optimizations.
- Other minor improvements.
