Today, we have the long-awaited update to the inspection mechanics.
Buildings will no longer come to a complete halt when supervision ends. Instead, unsupervised peasants will start to slack off, reducing their productivity by 50% on Peaceful and Normal difficulty levels and by 80% on Hardcore. This change should make it easier for new players to get started, while experienced players probably won't notice a difference since they keep everything under control!
We've added a "Lazy Workers" modifier for those who prefer the old way of playing.
New Additions
- New building inspection mechanics. An overdue building inspection does not entirely stop production but sharply reduces its efficiency.
- New game modifier "Lazy Workers." Restores the previous mechanics of complete production stoppage due to overdue inspection.
Fixes
- Fixed a bug where the "Monogamist" trait prevented making love with peasants even if the lord with this trait had no partner.
- Fixed a bug where uniting the Empire through the city alliance did not allow declaring oneself Emperor.
- Fixed a bug where messengers returning to the local map were not hired for work.
- Fixed a bug where children were considered when calculating the amount of alcohol and nectar that servants should bring to the hall.
- Fixed a bug where an extra servant could be hired for the hall.
Improvements
- Hall servants will no longer be hired as messengers to avoid endangering your lords with starvation.
- Immobilized residents will not be considered able-bodied when calculating migration. This should increase the migration influx in the player's city, facing severe hunger.
- Children will eat meat as a last resort. If more straightforward food is available in storage, servants will not bring meat to the hall for children.
