In this update, we are bringing back the old instruction mechanic (after convincing arguments from players) and implementing many fixes (including the issues with Unholy Horde).
We also believe we have fixed crashes during battles. Let us know if the still here.
Several other important changes—knowledge generation algorithms on the global map, adjustments to the surprise attack algorithm, and archer behavior in combat—are currently in testing and will be introduced at the beginning or middle of next week.
Assessing the situation, we think we need to keep the Big Update in the beta version for another week to further polish it before rolling it out to the main branch.
So, here’s the full list of changes:
- Restored the old inspection mechanic.
- Fixed a rare silent crash during combat.
- Rings no longer return after the sermon ends.
- Fire notifications no longer pause the game again within an hour after the first notification.
- The player's squad will no longer automatically engage in close combat with the enemy.
- Changing the faction of a punished prisoner now cancels their punishment—prisoners sold to the caravan during punishment can no longer be executed.
- A seducer guest will now improve relationships with the "victim" if seduction is unavailable.
- Fixed a bug where the clickable area of the most important notifications (with the bouncing animation) was smaller than the notification itself.
- Cut trees will now be replaced with trees of the same type that existed on the map when the new game was started or when loading a save (if it's an old save).
- The "Inspiration" trait will no longer disappear after leaving the local map—but if the actor doesn't return by 8 AM, the trait will disappear.
- Fixed a bug where the Unholy Horde stopped attacking neighbors.
- Fixed a bug where the leader of the Unholy Horde could become pregnant or start having bastards.
- The notification that terror is getting out of control will now only appear for "everyone" terror.
- Moving the scafolds no longer resets the selected punished group.
- Reduced the duration of field disease disasters from 5 to 3 days.
- Imprisonment punishment is now again available on the gallows.
- Neighboring wars now affect migration by adding +1 to the number of migrants.
- Terror now affects migration by subtracting -3 from the number of migrants.
- Fixed a bug where the step for concluding a trade agreement in the tutorial could not be completed.
- Fixed a bug where the "Conversation" button was not highlighted in the tutorial.
