Yes, you will need a purchased copy of Nightingale either on Steam or the Epic Games Store in order to play on GeForce Now.

As you will be connecting to servers, you will need access to a steady internet connection throughout your gaming session. Please note that the retail versions of Nightingale connect to our servers, and also require a steady internet connection even if you’re playing directly from Steam or Epic.

Nope, it’s an optional service that folks can opt into if they want it.
