Greetings scientists
We’ve been pretty quiet since the last patch, so we figured we'd shared some more details about the upcoming Airship Gardening update! This update keeps getting bigger (we’re going to need plenty of coffee putting the changelog together)
We will have more details soon about what else you can expect and the exact release date, but today let's focus on what you can grow.
Let's Talk Airship Gardening!
If players wish, gardening can be kept simple. Having just a few plant pots is totally fine and acceptable. But, taking it to the next level has a whole bunch of benefits!
To create an autonomous and sustaining airship garden, you will need a selection of new technologies that will be found in various locations around the world:
????Water Tanks
????Distillers
????????A pipe network
????️Sprinklers
????Plant pots
+ more!
What Can You Grow & How?
Flowers and plants you find like Ink Bulbs, Petit Astre, Bruiseflower etc can be grown in Small Garden Pots. Crops you find growing on larger plants like Sunmelon, Coffee Nut, Green Collander etc can be grown in Big Garden Pots.
In most cases, you will need to plant the seed from the item you want to grow! We plan for this process to be pain-free as food and seeds inventory stacking is currently in the testing phase of production! Providing there is no negative impact on the gameplay loop, this will be a part of the update!
You can increase the speed at which a plant grows by adding a special fertilizer in the Distiller. This fertilizer is made from Rotten Food (yes, it now has a purpose, yay!)
Plants that only grow in the Underdust like Breathnuts and more can also be grown, providing you craft the Dust Fertilizer and add it to the garden pot.
What do you think? Let us know in the comments. There will also be another dev log very soon where we plan to show you more content from this update!
Thank you for reading, speak soon!
