Patch 0.31.29 Beta Branch is now available!
We are aware that a minority of players are still having issues with their savegame being wiped each time they start the game. We have nailed it down to a Steam cloud save related issue, and we're launching a new beta branch, version 0.31.29, to try to tackle this matter. This patch is specifically aimed at players who are experiencing Steam Cloud save issues (e.g., save gets deleted each time they launch the game). If you are not experiencing the above-mentioned issues, you do not have to update.

Opt-In Steps
- Right Click on ZERO Sievert in your Steam library.
- Choose "Properties."
- Select the "Betas" tab.
- Choose "public-beta - 0.31.29" from the dropdown menu.
- Your game should auto-update to 0.31.29.
Adding Launch Options
In order to help us fix this issue, we kindly ask you to turn on the below launch options, and send the generated log either to @ericd on our Discord, or to eric@modernwolf.net.
Options
"-log_to_file": Writes debug log information to a text file found in %LOCALAPPDATA%\ZERO_Sievert\ (e.g C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\ZERO_Sievert) and is named with a timestamp, like 2023-7-20_10-58-31.log
"-strict_cloud": Adds extra behaviour checks for Steam Cloud issues.
How to Add Launch Options
- Right-click on ZERO Sievert in your Steam library.
- Choose properties.
- Under the general tab, input "-log_to_file" AND "-strict_cloud", without the quotation marks, into the "Launch Options" text box. It should look like the below screenshot:
- Close the properties tab and launch the game; the game will generate a pop-up window to let you know the above two launch options are enabled, like below:
- You can then find the log stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\ZERO_Sievert\ (e.g C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\ZERO_Sievert) and send it to us.
