Zakov just got a whole lot more unpredictable! We’re excited to introduce our latest update 1.0.16, which brings a dynamic weather system, seasons, and a new survival mechanic to the game!
???? New Weather System
Snow is Back for Good! ❄️ No more waiting—Zakov’s harsh winters are here to stay.
Seasons in the Wasteland: Every two in-game weeks now represents a full year, bringing changing temperatures and climates to every raid location.
Real-Time Weather Updates: Weather conditions shift every 3 in-game hours, affecting temperature, visibility, and survival strategies.
????️ New Survival Tool & Visual Enhancements
Weather Kit: You can now craft a Weather Kit to monitor temperature on your PDA and check the next 6 hours of weather at each location before heading out.
Enhanced Weather Effects: We’ve added new shaders to bring in greater immersion - for example, rainy days now appear desaturated and dimly lit for a truly moody atmosphere. We’ve also added a toggle setting to disable the new color gradient overlay for extra accessibility and customisation.
???? Other Improvements
Hunter & Gun Skills Notification: A new PDA icon alerts you when you have unspent skill points - never forget to utilise your points again!
Alongside these new features we’ve also been working on some bug fixes which we know have been troubling many of you!
- Steam Cloud saving is fixed (new check with communicating with Steam)[/*]
- Inventory sorting fixes to prevent icon overlaps [/*]
- Inventory auto-sort and rotation fixes [/*]
- More fixes implemented towards blue void issue [/*]
- Player is now able to sell Santa’s backpack [/*]
- Immortality Hunter Skill does not occupy a Tier-1 skill slot, allowing full roster of skills to be acquired [/*]
