We’ve been working tirelessly since exiting Early Access, pushing out many patch builds and taking note of all the requests and suggestions from players. Today, we bring you a new build with some highly requested features and additions to the game:
- NEW Ranger Control Scheme - Full Aim Mode. You now have the choice to select a dual stick/mouse aim control mode for the Ranger. Keep in mind this control scheme only affects her movement style + direct shot arrow abilities (Quick Shot, Burst Shot, Soul Arrow). You can still select the original control scheme if you like that playstyle.
- NEW Event/Point of Interest in Usvit Depths: Embrace the Light. Can you survive the new challenge event?
- NEW Curse: Heavyweights - Enemies become immune to knockback
- NEW Merchant Item: Gambler's Edge (Bogatyr Only) – This new item enhances sword builds and adds a fun twist.
- UI: When a point of interest is activated, an Arrow Pointer is now briefly displayed on screen above the player and shows the direction towards the point of interest.
- Updated Key Bindings. They have been reset so we could add additional controls, so you will need to re-define your key bindings.
-Ranger: Boosted base damage by 10%
- Necromancer - Fulmination Attack boosted - increased skull count by +4 skulls per rank and damage inflicted per explosion by 100%
- Refactored and optimized code related to the level up sequence, which should eliminate or highly reduce instances where a level is skipped because no available abilities could be found. The code is now much more robust, offering better performance and several failsafes put in
- Controls: As long as you are not in full aim mode (Ranger) you can now also move your character using the right analog stick on a gamepad.
- Added an extra check for the player to ignore taking damage when inner fire powerup is active
- Bug Fix: Blood Maiden's Blade Dash talent is now working properly
- Bug Fix: Clusters of enemies such as rats, flies etc will no longer be disabled while on screen
- Bug Fix: Adjusted the cooldown logic to prevent a bug from Ranger's Marked Target CDR from occurring which temporarily gave nearly 100% CDR
- Initial Game Load Time has been reduced
- New Custom Mouse Cursor added (Thanks Djezze)
- Updated Engine to 2022.3.52
VERSION 1.1 (First major Content Update)
We are working on some new content for the game, which will be going live in Version 1.1. This will be our first major content update, which will include many hours of additional playtime.
We have a few small details about what’s to come:
Once you complete the main story of the game the new content will unlock (you do not have to complete hard mode to unlock this content). The new content's theme is centered around music, and is presented in a unique way that’s different from the base game content.
Introducing Lyssandra, the Dirge who turns melodies into mayhem! With her deadly Axe-Guitar in hand, she shreds through enemies and composes chaos on the battlefield. She will be your newest and fiercest ally!
Confined to the Castle’s Walls by the Strings of Fate, she requests your help to break a dark curse and free her from the shackles of Veles, the Cursed Maestro:
Veles, son of Velya (the Witch Imprisoned in the depths of Usvit Castle) is a new foe you must deal with. A new quest awaits you in the castle, and we can’t wait to show you what we’re working on.
We still have many months of work left before version 1.1 will be available to play, but as of today we’re going to shift our main focus to working on the new content. It’s very challenging trying to provide constant improvements and fixes to existing content, while also trying to find time to work on new content. This means patch builds and improvements to existing content will become less frequent, but we will still work on improving what's currently on offer. We read all feedback and we understand there's always something that can be improved, whether it's character balancing, adding more events, adding new abilities, improving existing abilities, the list goes on. Nothing will ever be perfect, but we will continue to do our best to produce a fun game, as that's all we've ever tried to do.
Moving forward, we plan to update the community once a month with our progress on version 1.1, and we will provide improvements and fixes to existing content as often as we can.
