Hector (also known as HectorGamingYT) posts videos on everything from Hangar spotlights to new update showcases on his YouTube channel, so we thought it was high time we sat down with him to get to know him a little better.

Q: How did you discover War Robots: Frontiers?
A: I discovered War Robots: Frontiers through an advertisement on YouTube. Once I saw it, I was immediately hooked, searching for everything I could see that was related to the new game I found—a game full of hype and excitement that I would not stop talking about to my stepdad for weeks. (P.S. Thank you for letting me borrow your card to buy the game!)
Q: What made you want to start creating content for War Robots: Frontiers?
A: I was motivated to make content on War Robots: Frontiers by having the idea to be the best War Robots: Frontiers YouTube creator on the platform–which is a lot of hard work, as I see it. As a high schooler, I have grades to catch up on and other things, just the usual high-schooler here! My whole family supported my idea and motivated me to try my best, don't stop, and keep working hard and I'll get there—and to have an amazing adventure on the Wild Ten!
Q: Do you have any tips for new content creators?
A: Showcase builds from the community, praise them for their looks, skill level, and selection of weaponry and abilities. Always have a schedule and remember there’s no need to rush everything. Many of us are patient and will wait to dive into new and amazing content! Remember—you are the Pilot that will represent the War Robots: Frontiers community, so make the best of it and cherish your fans!
Q: How long have you been playing video games and what is your favorite genre? Do you remember the first video game you ever played?
A: I have been playing video games since I was five years old. Mario Kart DS was the first game I know that I was very good at for being so young. My favorite genre has always been mech shooters. I also started playing War Robots on my Android tablet in 2016. Good times!
Q: What do you do when you’re not gaming—do you have any other hobbies?
A: I watch old War Robots: Frontiers videos and even watch my own videos! I love watching the animations and visual effects. I usually just scroll on social media or hang out with my friends when I'm not gaming.

Q: What is your favorite Robot in War Robots: Frontiers and why?
A: My favorite Robot is Fenrir, it is an iconic Robot and a community favorite. Choosing between Siren and Fenrir was a tough decision since most of my builds are made of Fenrir.
Q: Do you have a favorite game mode? If so, which one?
A: My favorite game mode is Last Robot Standing. This game mode is focused on annihilating other Robots and getting the most eliminations, so I can freely rush into battle without having to worry about beacons.
Warp Rush is extremely difficult if your team is more focused on killing enemy Robots, since it can lead to a massive loss on beacons or getting four or five Warp Gates, causing enemies to control more of the map and having team players panic and waste their abilities and Robots. In Last Robot Standing, it's all about how your team plays in such scenarios.
Q: You’ve won several community events during Early Access. What’s your approach to these competitions, any key tactics or strategies that help you come out on top?
A: My approach to these competitions is to use the weapons I find to be the most powerful to achieve the most amount of damage and kills, achieving up to 20+ kills each game. Aim for the weakest parts of the Robot by seeing the class it is made from. Flanker or Tactician Modules have the weakest parts. I always aimed for the shoulders, which had the least amount of health
Q: You're a founding member of the STOVE Clan—how did it come to be?
A: The clan was made by a group of three members—me, LuisGaming, and Destroyer. It all started when LuisGaming pointed out a habit where he calls the Alpha Death Beam “STOVE”. We started laughing about how he still calls it a stove. We kept saying “stoves”, which flooded the Discord with stove memes and it grew in popularity quickly. That's how the STOVE Clan was born.
Q: What advice would you give to new players joining War Robots: Frontiers?
A: Always have an open mind with the community—ask for recommendations, builds, and advice from them! Everyone is here to help you, no Pilot is left out on the Wild Ten. Explore new things and challenge yourself with crazy tactics. No need to rush into competition—you'll make it there soon!
Q: Is there a message you would like to give to the War Robots: Frontiers community?
A: If you think you don't have what it takes to handle the Wild Ten—don't give up! Just remember, I was in the same spot as you during the early days of War Robots: Frontiers. I was getting killed left and right, leading me to the one and only rage quit of my entire career.
Grind for your resources for the best gear that you need, not what you want. Try out new builds once in a while in the Firing Range to test their ability and power. If you do, you can potentially create a meta build!
