Also, we are thrilled to announce that the Early Access release is scheduled for 16.01.2024!
Prior to the official Early Access release date, we plan to conduct a Playtest on Steam. However, the specific date for the playtest is yet to be determined. Rest assured, the playtest will take place before the official Early Access release, allowing us to gather valuable feedback and try to make any necessary adjustments. We appreciate your excitement and patience as we work towards delivering the best possible experience for our community.
Let's start by taking a look at our latest video, which can be found here:

The DataPad
As mentioned in our Discord server conversations (if you haven't joined yet, we encourage you to do so), the DataPad is not merely a cosmetic item; it serves a purpose.
The DataPad Tool is your ultimate companion in the world of Contain. It is your trusty sidekick and secret weapon for unraveling mysteries hidden in plain sight. Whether you're scanning anomalies, detecting distant enigmas, or confirming your objectives, this versatile gadget is your key to achieving your goals. Some anomalies remain invisible to the naked eye, leaving you no choice but to scan and unveil the secrets that lie just beyond the surface.

AI Behaviors
We have begun recreating AI behaviors to make them more active and capable of making logical decisions. In these two videos, the first shows the AI's responses to player-thrown frag grenades, and the second demonstrates how the AI reacts to player-thrown flashbangs while they remain unaware.

We will share more videos about AI behaviors as they further develop.
Mini F.A.Q.
As we continue to share more footage, additional questions have surfaced. We'd like to address some of the most frequently asked ones.
Q: Is it safe to say the game is a full horror FPS?
A: No, we can't say that. However, there are some jumpscare sequences here and there.
Q: We see some sequences, like the police car in the latest video; are those always the same or random?
A: Those are 100% the same sequence at the designated location, but we are trying to make them appear (work) randomly.
Q: What mission types will we see?
A: For now, we have a few different locations/missions, and every mission has its own theme and specific scenario. But, later on, we are planning to add different scenario types for every mission, like other games did.
Q: Is there a progression system planned?
A: Currently, we don't have one, but we are considering the possibility. Perhaps in the mid/late Early Access Phase, we could implement one, depending on player preferences.
Q: Is there a PvP or PvPvPvE mode?
A: The answer is a bit tricky, similar to the Progression System. We did not plan it at the beginning; we just wanted to create a full co-op or solo gameplay. But, we started considering it because many players are asking for it—some for classic PvP, others for Extraction PvPvPvE. We will probably add a mode during the Early Access Phase, depending on what our community really wants to see.
Q: What type of enemies will we see?
A: In the initial missions, expect mostly Soldiers due to lore considerations. However, anomaly enemies will still make appearances. As the game expands with new areas and missions, the variety of anomaly enemy types will also grow. We're excited to introduce our unique anomaly enemy types and incorporate well-known SCP monsters because we know you're eager to face them.
That’s it for this time, thanks for reading! See you all next time!
