What can the raiders imagine? How deeply has metal penetrated the recesses of their minds? We envisioned our raiders having flashes of their previous human condition and the last things they saw while they were alive. However, we also wanted these fragmented memories to be somewhat distorted in their present condition. It was on this basis that we imagined their space stations and landing strips.
Many structures were also built based on the raiders' most vivid memory: the moment of Extraction. The procedure is violent, mechanical, and cold. It is a process comparable to the construction of an industrial machine, with the difference that our machine feels pain, bewilderment, and fear in the face of the Extractor, the one who performs the actual extraction. We also conceptualized our structures based on the fears that the raiders feel at the moment of their birth.
Cables, metal, needles, a robotic vision: this is what a raider experiences, a distorted, metallic imagination reflected in every structure created by our bio-machine hybrids.
And that's all for today. We hope we have sparked your curiosity with this new dev diary, and we look forward to the next one!
Farewell, raiders!
