Other topics for today, we're part of the Steam Endless Replayability Fest (May 13–20)! And we have Trading cards that have just been approved by Steam! We figured it would be a good opportunity to talk about customization, shall we?
House Creation
In our game, the foundations of your tale as a ruler begin with the creation of your noble House.
- Tradition Selection: You'll choose a Tradition for your House, a defining aspect that influences your bonuses and gameplay style. Whether you embrace the fearless spirit of the Warriors, the wisdom of Scholars, the artfulness of Schemers, the togetherness of Peacemakers, the seclusive nature of Isolationists, or the prosperity of Idealists, your Tradition will shape your path.
- Starting Adult Nobles: Your journey begins with the selection of four randomized starting adult nobles. Each character comes with their own unique set of traits and skills, shaping their capabilities and predispositions when you will manage them and assign them tasks. You can randomize the characters as much as you want to get the perfect (or worst) family! When creating your House, you will have to designate the Head of House, this character will have more responsibility and will have special delegations for the Empire.
- Coat of Arms: With your noble roster assembled, you'll have the opportunity to design your House's distinctive coat of arms. This emblem is the visual representation of your lineage and can be customized to reflect your style and personality.
- Region Selection: Every corner of the land of Calderia offers its own advantages and challenges in terms of resource production. Choose wisely as you select the region where your House will settle, as it will influence your strategic decisions and the progression of your House.
- Difficulty Settings: This is a new addition brought with the 1.0 update. Tailor the challenge to your liking with 3 difficulty settings. Whether you seek to rule and explore the world and atmosphere of Calderia or a grueling test of your rule, there's a difficulty level suited to your ambitions.
Character Customization
In addition to shaping the foundations of your House, you'll be able to personalize the appearance and name of your noble characters through our character customization feature if you want.
- Portrait Customization: Alter the appearance of your nobles with a diverse array of options for hair, headwear, clothing, and backgrounds. From regal finery to battle-worn armor, customize your characters to reflect Calderian fashion, their roles, or personalities within your House.
Steam Trading Cards
Some of you requested them, and we're happy to let you know that Steam recently approved our Trading cards, and they are now available! These collectible cards feature stunning illustrations from the world of our game, allowing you to personalize your Steam profile and showcase your love for the Mediterranean Renaissance and the fictional world we made inspired by this era.
