This update continues our quest to reduce the time commitment and grind required for players to feel as if they can compete and enjoy the game. This update brings the first step in a paradigm shift in the way we design our items. The primary attributes for almost all weapons and equipment have been flattened. The core difference between most item grades is simply the number of random modifiers. Poor items will always roll the lowest primary roll to slightly differentiate them from common items. We have also normalized most of the additional primary stats you receive from items to the epic quality items. We believe this level of item attributes grants players a wide range of diversity in building their characters and offers a satisfying combat feel. This change will also assist us with character balancing in the future as we now have a much more predictable standard for item power. Changes:
- Fixed an issue where the player's corpse would move abnormally when stepped on it.
- Fixed an issue where the flash effect might not disappear when using Cleric’s Holy strike consecutively.
- Fixed an issue where when a character fired a crossbow while against a wall, the animation and sound would play even though the crossbow would not actually fire.
- Fixed an issue where some unique items in drop tables were not dropping.
- Fixed an issue where the artifact round shield was placed in the incorrect loot drop tier.
- Fixed an issue where the Elven Torch could appear different colors when hitting a wall.
- Fixed an issue where you could enter the dungeon immediately without waiting when pressing the entry button as soon as the dungeon changed.
- Fixed an issue where leaderboard rewards could be claimed while entering a dungeon.
- Fixed an issue where you could move using emotes during intermissions in Arena.
- Maximum health reduced by -15.
- Fighter's Weapon Mastery now also reduces magical damage bonuses, reducing both physical damage and magical damage bonuses by -5%.
- Barbarian’s base Strength changed from 20 → 25 and base Resourcefulness changed from 12 → 7.
- Barbarian's Axe Specialization additional Weapon Damage changed from 3 → 5.
- Barbarian's Two-Hander now additionally increases Armor Penetration by 15%.
- Barbarian’s Rage changed from Strength 10, Vigor 10, Physical Damage Reduction -10%, Movespeed Bonus 10% → Strength 15, Vigor 15, Physical Damage Reduction -15%, Movespeed Bonus 15%.
- Rogue's Poisoned Weapons now apply 10% healing reduction per stack (maximum 5 stacks, so 50%).
- Wizard's Magic Missile spell count changed from 5 → 10.
- Wizard's Fireball damage changed from 25/12 → 25/10.
- Wizard’s Explosion damage changed from 28 → 25.
- Cleric's Cleanse can now detoxify poison.
- Warlock's Torture Mastery attribute bonus ration changed from 10% → 20%
- There have been major balance changes between weapons and armor and almost all items have similar base properties.
- Max Health and Max Health Bonus are now set in the same random modifier family. Additional Movespeed and Movespeed Bonus are now set in the same random modifier family. Random modifiers from the same family group cannot appear together on an item.
- For players with existing items that have both options belonging to the same family group, the bonus option will be rerolled to a new modifier.
- Viking Sword's animation has been slightly changed.
- Crystal Sword animation has been slightly changed.
- Changed the additional magic damage of Void Blade and Demon's Glee to magic weapon damage.
- Lantern Shield's impact resistance changed from 3 → 4.
- The function of combining looted Gold Coins into containers has been improved.
- Improved the drop rate of items that spawn outside of chests to align with the recent loot drop improvements.
- The drop rates of Gold Coin Bag and Gold Coin Chests obtained from the Hoard have been adjusted to match the respective difficulty of the dungeon that the hoard is accessed from.
- Improved the Arena system so the match can be nullified if the match is not properly filled by all players.
- Loot boxes and monsters have been removed from the Arena for testing purposes.
- Dungeon Recovery is no longer available from High Roller.
- Slight QoL improvements to the Dungeon Recovery system.
- Slight QoL improvements to the Marketplace.
- Jack O' Lantern has returned to the Merchants.
- New Lobby skin system added to the game.
- Halloween themed skins are now available in the store.
- A new emote, Teasing, is now available in the store.
