Greetings, Shifters! ✊
Coridden comes out on 29 January 2025. That means we're counting hours to the launch, and we hope you're as excited as we are!
With that, we wanted to set up the expectations at the right level.
What is Coridden?
Coridden is an indie action RPG where you play as a monster-shifter, able to transform into the creatures you defeat. Venture out alone or in co-op with up to 3 friends on a journey to uncover the dark secrets sealed inside the legendary city of Aasha.
The game brings back a similar vibe and fun action as old-school co-op RPGs, such as the Diablo games, BG: Dark Alliance, Champions of Norrath but also those that engrossed us in their engaging narrative and side quest-hunting such as Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn.
Coridden’s world is in a sort of post-apocalyptic scenario where nature and creatures dominate, but humans still have access to highly advanced technology they do not fully understand, similar to the feel of the world in Horizon Zero Dawn.
What Coridden isn't.
???? Some mechanics might have a similar feel to Path of Exile or Diablo games, all being isometric/hack-and-slash/action RPGs. However, it's difficult to compare Coridden to them due to different scopes of production. Coridden's budget and dev team is much, much smaller.
???? Talking of scope — Coridden is not an AAA game with a huge open world. Finishing the game should take about 10-15 hours, 20-25 if you want to do all side-quests, and about 30 if you're going for all achievements.
