In this cold and unforgiving world, mastering the knowledge of its inhabitants is crucial to your survival. Each animal serves a unique purpose, providing essential resources and presenting various challenges to overcome. Let's dive into the untamed wilderness and meet some of the creatures you'll encounter during the Early Access!
The Boar ????
Meet the boar, a robust and resourceful creature. In the game, the boar will play a significant role in helping players find valuable truffles. With its keen sense of smell, it can detect the plant even when it's buried deep beneath the snow.
You can form a symbiotic relationship with the boar by carefully observing its digging behavior, as it will lead you to the buried treasures. However, be cautious: the boar can be territorial and aggresive if provoked, making it essential to approach your 'new friend' with caution.
We've also managed to prepare some animations including charge, walking, and some idle stances. Please, keep in mind that it's still a work-in-progress and we need some additional time to polish everything a little bit more, but you can already get a glimpse of this wonderful yet dangerous creature.
The Fox ????
The sly and cunning fox is a master of survival in this winter landscape. We won't spoil his role as of now, but we're curious to see what you guys think. Maybe by tracking him, he will lead us to some hidden treasures... Don't hesitate and share your thoughts in the comments below.

The Wolf????
If you've already played the Prologue, you've probably realised that wolves are one of the main obstacles to your survival. Apart from finding them in the wilderness, you'll also be able to spot them in caves as well as near their dens.
While travelling the world, you'll discover several wolf dens scattered around the world. During the day, the den will be heavily protected by its inhabitants, so it's gonna be impossible to plunder it for the resources hidden within.
However, as the night approaches, the pack will go out into the wilderness to hunt, leaving the den unprotected. As you've probably already guessed, this is your one chance to not only grab the loot, but also block the den temporarly, making the surrounding area safer.
Animals coming in Early Access????
In the screenshot below, you can see a variety of animals that are gonna come when Winter Survival launches in Early Access. Each animal has a distinct appearance and plays a vital role in the ecosystem. Additionaly, each one of them serves a specific purpose, providing different materials and resources.
However, hunting certain animals will demand a different approach and level of expertise. You'll need to utilize a combination of tracking, stealth, and precision to overcome the challenges presented by each unique creature.
