winter is here! And while some of you already enjoyed their first mulled wine or switched on their fairy lights, we thought we might surprise you with an early Christmas gift!
It's getting cozy in Pagonia, so it's time for a new beta test! Version 0.11.0 just went into the beta branch on Steam for all Early Access players! By the mighty boar statue, there are some surprises waiting for you!

Narrative Tutorial Map
- To make it easier for new players to explore the world of Pagonia, there is now a new Tutorial map
- Various characters will help you find your way around quickly
- New building types get unlocked step by step
- Of course, experienced players are also invited to play this map and give us feedback!
Arcane Artifacts
- Wealth motivates all your units recruited in the Military academy and Adventurer’s Guild as before.
- All your magic units recruited in the Arcane Academy can only be strengthened with arcane artifacts.
- Arcane artifacts will develop their power after they have been safely stored in the Treasury. The power increase for Warlocks and Sorceresses starts at 0% and is displayed at the top bar on request.
- Arcane artifacts can be discovered in treasures, are offered by neutral villages in trade or gifts, and rarely are they just lost somewhere on the ground.
Winter Season Map and time-limited Winter Season Changes
- Winter season is here! Get cozy on a seasonal predefined map and help your Pagonian friends celebrate with the wintertime only sweet bread. But beware, there are those who want to spoil the celebration!
- Winter light setting.
- Note that thieves and bandits really like to steal sweet bread during winter season.
Other Improvements
- Continuous copy mode for farm fields: Hold the left mouse button and move the mouse to copy the current plant type to multiple farmland plots.
- Improved several visuals, e.g. raspberry bushes.
- Balanced volume of many sound effects und various sound improvements
- The Weaver building production interface now offers to produce a specific number of ropes.
- Artifacts now have their own section in the top bar interface
- Artifacts can be chosen as an item category for storages.
- Added new loading hints.
Balancing
- Construction cost of Light Spire and Monument of Wisdom have been reduced.
- The ritual of Warlocks to remove Baneroots is now twice as fast with Apprentice Warlocks and more than 10 times faster with advanced Warlocks.
- Cursed Baneroots can now target Warlocks which try to destroy them, and they do it with priority.
- Artifacts needed to meet objectives have been removed from treasures to avoid that finding them can take a very long time. Instead, more of them can be found on the surface again.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed that roads very close to territory borders sometimes did not allow new roads to connect.
- Fixed some rendering issues that might improve graphics hardware compatibility.
- Fixed some very rare crashes during road construction.
- Fixed territory building status if border stones are missing or claiming is disabled.
- Fixed the location where infected Pagonians turn into Werewolves.
- Fixed that Geologist Hut did not count as exploration buildings.
- Added a few missing sound effects.
Known Issues
- Sometimes co-op has synchronization issues.
- Predefined maps banner have stripes.
- Flickering decals on some buildings.
- Some TNFs are still in game.
- Guidance videos sometimes are not triggered correctly.
