With the Free Weekend announcement well under way, what better time for our Autumn Season Update to hit the ground running!
The Autumn Season Update is the second seasonal update in Battalion 1944's road map since release as part of our ongoing support to improve the games, and our players overall experience. This month is no different as we look to change the dynamic of the playing field whilst maintaining the competitive integrity of the game! How do we do this you ask, well lets get into it.
Knife To Meet You!
Knives in Battalion 1944 can now be fully equipped. Using a third weapon slot, taking the law into your own hands has never been easier. Pre-match knife rounds feel more rounded, movement is aesthetically improved and using Mouse 2 will silently walk you out of any sticky situation much like the pistol. We felt with the inclusion of new knife skins in our Summer Update, it was only fair for players to inspect their new armaments in the same fashion as their counterparts - but why stop at an inspect? Each knife has its own equip animation giving what we feel is a more pleasing to the eye experience. Knives currently play a primarily cosmetic role but this doesn't mean we won't be monitoring feedback moving forward!
For those of you with configs set in stone, we suggest rebinding the following to pave the way for your new weapon.

Invasion Persuasion
After Invasion's week long testing during our Special Event stage we are pleased to announce that the map will be making a full time return to our Arcade and Competitive game modes! Invasion has come a long way and now we get to see how our community really put it through its paces in the competitive environment. A lot of positions that were utilised during previous stages have been fixed to keep the balance of play but we recognise the importance and celebration of team creativity so are interested to see what you guys find next! 
-<The next map to receive the rework treatment will be Savoia which will be entering the fray during Autumn's Mid Season Update in our attempt to flesh out a well received pool of maps the community can be proud of. Map Call Outs Added
Communication is key in the line of duty, a foot put wrong in the line of fire means comms can hit a breaking point. One way we've set out to help new players are map call outs found underneath the Minimap. If you've ever been unsure of where you're at, worry no longer.The Red Sun Upgrade

The Red Sun Warchest
The Red Sun Warchest takes inspiration from the far East providing a multitude of new skins for an array of weapons within Battalion 1944. Tucked away deep inside is another new knife for you to flip, shank and shake around in the trenches. Why float like a butterfly when you could sting like one? Introducing, the Butterfly Knife.

Season 6 is an exciting time for Battalion 1944, giving way to our first Free Weekend, a possible opportunity for new players and minds alike to join us in our endeavours. With that comes the Mid Season Update expected in approximately one month (or sooner) to tie in a whole new trick of changes and treat of festivities.
