It’s time for another bunch of tweaks to the experimental build of Update 6 - Wonders of Water.
Waterfall particles
Thank you for your feedback related to the just-added waterfall particles. With this update, we’re tweaking both their coloring and buggy behavior. If you notice anything weird still happening, let us know!
- Waterfall particles are now brighter.
- Waterfall particles no longer render in front of other particles, such as smoke or fire.
Maps
Terraces join our roster of updated maps. Thanks to 3D water physics, this fan-favorite now features some hidden caves of unknown origin.
- Updated the Terraces map.
Bug fixes
- Mechanical Fluid Pump’s connectors are back to the correct height.
- Power connectors are now correctly highlighted for all buildings upon selection.
- Fixed the Carousel clipping with the Paper Mill.
- Sluices should no longer get clogged up and now release water correctly.
- Mechanical Fluid Pump no longer displays the incorrect No Power status.
- Ripping in-game assets out no longer causes issues with mod creation. This was caused by duplicating the assets that were already included in the modding tools.
System requirements
We’ve updated the game’s system requirements listed on Steam and other platforms to better reflect what’s needed to enjoy Timberborn as years go by and the game and the Unity engine evolve. This change isn’t explicitly related to today’s patch, and doesn’t mean your game’s performance now suddenly drops. It’s just more of a heads-up aimed at our future players.
- (Windows) Updated minimum system requirements to Windows 10 or newer, a 4-core 1.7 GHz or better CPU, and GeForce GTX 950, Radeon R9 380 or similar.
- (macOS) Updated minimum system requirements to a 4-core 1.7 GHz or better CPU, and the recommended system requirements to Apple M1 or better CPU/GPU.
