▌Hero Updates
Momoi: New Tactical Skill -- Guardian Shield
Everyone loved the new changes that came to Syfer in the last update. If you remember, in a previous adjustment, we tried adjusting Momoi's ultimate so that the Airdrop adapts to the current status of her squad. But that was clearly not enough, as we've taken note of numerous community comments wishing for further adjustments to Momoi. In this update, Momoi steps up her game with an upgraded tactical skill:
- New tactical skill "Guardian Shield":
- Momoi summons a device, providing a shield for nearby teammates;
- When engaged with enemies, the skill shield's health will be depleted first;
- The shield starts with 20 HP, which will be upgraded to 30 HP once Momoi reaches level 5;
- The device leaves a mark on the map, alerting teammates of its location;
- The device lasts for 15 seconds and can be destroyed by enemies.
This new skill, replacing her previous "Smoke Bomb" skill, should give her a more distinct and proactive playstyle as a support hero.
Ember: Introduced a brand new model design and simultaneously adjusted the appearance of some skins.
In the previous version, we redesigned the captain. Sporting a unique personality, he's become our treasured Mr. Reliable.
In this update, we would like to introduce our science-obsessed hero, Ember. He unveils a dramatic transformation with an elegant biologist appearance, reflecting his desire for precision and unreasonably high standards.
His voice acting has also been updated to match his true character, adding a mix of intelligence and madness to his persona.
While his skills have not been updated this time, we have not forgotten to prepare an Ember gameplay guide for you so we can learn about him a bit more.
▌Vehicle Changes
Flamethrower changed to Lava Chariot
Previously, the Flamethrower had a limited attack range, requiring high levels of player skill in vehicle control and timing. To expand tactical choices and provide more interesting gameplay, we have transformed it into the Lava Chariot. The Lava Chariot now has a greater attack range and, in addition to causing damage, it can control the battlefield, block paths, and slow down enemies, offering a richer array of tactical strategies.
The Lava Chariot can continuously shoot lava bombs, leaving magma on the ground that slows down and continuously damages enemies it contacts.
▌Wallrun Upgrade
Enhanced Wallrun Mechanics
The Wallrun mechanics in Farlight 84, while popular, had their limitations. Previously, they could only be activated at specific angles, which often made them tricky to use consistently, especially during intense combat. To improve this, we've refined these mechanics for smoother and more intuitive control.
Now, Wallruns can be triggered more easily from a wider variety of angles, giving players greater mobility and more strategic options in battle.
▌Other Improvements and Bug Fixes
Enhanced Download Interface
Some of our players reported missing emojis and voice resources in the lobby. This is because some resources on Android devices were still downloading in the background, but it wasn't show in the progress bar.
So we're implementing the following improvements:
- A more informative download progress interface.
- Options for automatic downloads over WiFi.
- The download will not affect your gameplay, automatically pausing upon entering a match;
- The download does not use mobile data, automatically pausing in non-WiFi environments.
Network Analysis Tool
- We've added a network analysis tool in the update to help you quickly check your network status and identify any problems.
Graphics Optimization
- Following feedback from the community about the game being too bright or too dark from scene to scene, this update will bring optimizations to the illumination and textures of maps. The scenes will now look softer to the eyes without sudden changes in lighting conditions. The textures of the environment will also look less overwhelming, creating a softer background that will help you identify items and targets more easily.
Account Info
- Improved the Battle Record interface. Deathmatch mode will now be displayed as a separate tab.
- Due to spotting some avatars that violated community rules, we have temporarily disabled the upload feature for custom avatars. Accounts that have already uploaded approved avatars are not affected.
Missions
- Renamed 'Daily Missions' to 'Activeness Quest' and optimized the 'Claim All' feature. Now, all currently available rewards can be claimed with a single click of 'Claim All'.
Warehouse
- Adjusted the default sorting of heroes in the warehouse. Heroes are now sorted alphabetically by their English names.
Voice Function
- Enhanced the voice functionality in warm-up match mode. Players in a team can still use team voice chat after entering playing warm-up matches together.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where projectiles passed through scene collisions under specific conditions.
- Fixed a bug causing automatic firing issues during Warm-Up matches.
- Optimized PC graphics settings, ensuring corresponding rendering ratios change with quality adjustments.
- Fixed a bug where some scene models in Sunset City appeared abnormal under Smooth and lower graphics options.
- Fixed a bug where in-game scenes could appear blurry in specific situations under Smooth and lower graphics options.
- Fixed a bug where a change in the team captain could lead to promotion failure in some situations.
- Fixed a bug with missing titles in the Hero Leaderboard.
- Fixed a bug where the region switch prompt was missing in some situations.
- Fixed a bug where it was impossible to reselect a new Region after the beginning of a new Season.
- Optimized the controller experience. Now, PS5 controllers can function properly when connected via Bluetooth.
- Fixed a bug where the Death Spectate interface did not display the number of likes.
- Fixed abnormal shaking in the general item acquisition interface.
- Fixed a bug with the display of Trail items in the Lottery, where rotation behavior was abnormal.
