Drive back into the Olympic Exclusion Zone with some incredible new features as part of this summer update:
Photomode
As our number one most requested feature, we’re stoked to announce that a photo mode is now available! You can use a variety of camera settings and aesthetic filters to capture your favorite moments in the Zone - or commemorate your journey with your wagon.
- A standard suite of camera settings like depth of field, focus control, and exposure.
- Visual filters that completely change the style of the image, team favorites include blueprint, arcade, cartoon, and comic book style settings!
- Change weather conditions and time of day, all in the same menu.
New Equippable Car Ability: The Juke Jet
Divert all power to side thrusters! The Juke Jet is a piece of equipment that can be mounted on the car side racks that gives you a horizontal boost to dodge and drift your way throughout the Zone - avoiding danger or providing some extra fun during those riskier runs through a junction.
Garage Station Upgrades
Two new nodes to unlock in the Garage Upgrade tree via the Fabrication Station
- Smart Matter Deconstructor - practice your trashketball skills by throwing your old junk straight into the Matter Deconstructor!
- Vargas Auto-Pac-Vac - your handy dandy garage vacuum will now deposit materials into your transfer trunk before filling the rest of the vacuum storage, and there’s some other useful improvements.
Introducing a PS5 Performance Mode
We have heard the community concerns over performance on the PlayStation 5! This is a game setting that configures your game across the board for a significant increase in performance on the PlayStation 5 console - our aim here is to smooth out the overall experience and provide options for players experiencing performance hiccups during gameplay. We do plan on improving general performance for all platforms and improvements to the efficiency of PS5 performance mode in the future.
There’s even more new stuff to uncover and alongside these new features is a litany of bug fixes and improvements - details are here in our patch notes.
Hand in hand with todays update is a paid cosmetic pack honoring everyone's favorite Friendly Dumpster! You can now adorn your car with the most glorious of trash and show a little love for your favorite pile of garbage.
Included in this cosmetic DLC:
- A New Decal Kit: Dumpster Devotee
- The Gift Shifter
- Air Trashener
- Dumpster Idol Hood Ornament
- Cuddle Can Bobble Head
- Re-Cycled Steering Wheel
Not only is it incredibly fun to develop fun new ways to decorate the station wagon, these paid cosmetic DLC packs allow Ironwood to continue to support the game with more updates like this one.
We are planning several more additions to the game before the end of the year, and that brings us to our last piece of news - a roadmap for our next series of planned updates! In addition to the summer update, players can expect two more major updates to the game before the end of the year. You’ll get new difficulty modes, new game customization settings, paid and free cosmetics in the Fall - with more details to come on what’s headed your way this Winter. We’re looking forward to sharing more details in the coming months!
