Event Horizon is excited to announce the release of Patch 1.6.1, the "Skillforged Update"!
Following the performance optimizations and stability improvements of Patch 1.6, the "Performance Update" last month, we're deploying Patch 1.6.1., which focuses on core gameplay refinement, delivering significant adjustments to combat balance, enemy scaling, and player skills. Expect a noticeable shift in combat dynamics, challenging encounters, and redefined build viability.
It's time to re-engage and experience the enhanced gameplay!

SKILLFORGED UPDATE

General Changes:

- Story -25%;
- Easy -15%;
- Normal 0%;
- Hard +10%;
- Insane +25%;
Player Side Adjustments:
- Fixed issue with tactic research node "Weak Spot Targeting" as it was increasing crit damage by 150% instead of intended 50%
- Fixed damage scaling issue on 4th levels of Adept's Fire Apprentice and Summoner's Call of the Wild
- Fixed 3rd level of Arcane Backup being the same skill as 2nd level
- Fixed Guardian's Shield Master skill not increasing weapon damage of the character correctly (however it is not supported in the preview, equipping shield is required to see the difference)
- Nerfed slightly weapon damage and attack speed of base weapons to make the weapon based builds less overpowered but still viable
- Nerfed Collector's Necklace per unique equipped buff by 50%
- Increased mana cost and cooldown in favor of longer lifetime of the wolves in Call of the Wild Summoner's skill
Enemy Side Enhancements:
- Boosted armor values of higher tier enemies for them to be true focal points of the fights
- Modified some mid main quest encounters in attempt to vary the combat experience and improve game's pacing by changing their enemy distribution
- Nerfed Bandit Chief's immortality buff gained when it's hp reaches 1 - decreased its duration and nerfed his damage greatly for the whole mechanic being less punishing especially for melee characters
Insane Difficulty:
For hardcore players, we've prepared a significant escalation in challenge. The "Skillforged Update" has specifically targeted the 'Insane' difficulty, implementing substantial increases to enemy armor and damage scaling. Our intent was to push even the most optimized and min-maxed builds to their absolute limit. Consider 'Insane' the definitive test of your mastery in Dark Envoy.
"Fix to Crashes":
Beyond the core balance adjustments introduced in Patch 1.6.1, we've also addressed several crash occurrences identified through the data provided in your player logs. These fixes target specific instability issues encountered by the community, contributing to a more stable and reliable gameplay experience.
While we've resolved a number of these cases, there is an important caveat - the complexity of PC hardware configurations means that unforeseen issues can still arise. Therefore, should you encounter any crashes, please continue to utilize the in-game 'Report Issue' button, providing us with the necessary information to address your individual case.
We also strongly recommend reviewing the minimum system requirements, especially the 16GB RAM specification.
