2023 has been quite the year for Blackout Protocol, starting with January’s first ever closed beta. Throughout the year, we have gone through 3 closed betas, Steam Next Fest demo, PAX East in Boston, PAX West in Seattle–and of course we cannot omit going into Early Access in July!
Throughout all of them, one of the feedback we constantly heard was that Blackout Protocol gets really, really fun when you have a tight group of Agents playing together in every step they take. We take this as a great compliment, because co-op has been at the very core of the game’s beginnings. With that, we’d like to announce that we’re signing up for the “Better With Friends” category in this year’s Steam Awards!
While we added quite a few changes that improve the gameplay experience for singleplayer, we can still confidently say that the Blackout Protocol experience gets even more fun when you have a full squad of Agents tackling the horrors that lurk deep down in Section 13. We need YOU, Agents, to show the world that the game truly shines when you play with friends. Vote for Blackout Protocol in this year’s Steam Awards!
