Dear community,
we have just released the latest update for "TransOcean 2: Rivals". After updating the game to version 1.2 you will be able to configure many values in the endless game mode. For this we offer you two templates to use: one template using the values of the competition mode and one template with the values that we are recommending for the endless game mode. The templates themselves cannot be altered.
Additionally to that, there will be three user-defined configuration sets which you will be able to modify and use as many times as you would like to.
You will be able to change the following values on several different levels:
1.) Contract bonuses
- Separately for bulk, container and tank ships
- The strategic orientation for ship types will be retained: With bulk ships you will still earn less money, but the most region points. Tank ships will earn you the most money, but less region points.
2.) Ship pricing
- Separately for bulk, container and tank ships
- The strategic orientation for ship types will be retained: Bulk ships are the cheapest, tank ships the most expensive ship types.
3.) Running ship costs
- Separately for bulk, container and tank ships
4.) Tugboat fees
- Tugboat fees are different from port to port and depend on the type of ship which needs to be tugged into or out of the port.
5.) Subsidiaries concerning money
6.) Subsidiaries concerning region points
- How many region points a subsidiary costs cannot be said in general. There are cheap and expensive regions (Example: Europe is quite expensive, Australia quite cheap). The region point costs also depend on the number of AI opponents: The more of them taking part in a game, the more expensive the regions become. Average region point costs are between 90 and 120 region points, if you are playing alone. With eight players they are between 180 and 210 region points. If you adjust the lever to “few” or “very few”, the region point costs will be lowered by 25 or 50 region points respectively.
7.) Subsidiary revenues and expenditures per week
- With this you will be able to turn subsidiaries into sources of revenue just like in the competition mode. Or you can change them into matters of expense, which will cost you money each week.
8.) Wear and tear
9.) The condition value which determines when a ship will have the chance of sinking on the high seas
- If you lower this value to 0%, the ship will only sink when its condition reaches 0. If you adjust the setting to 50%, there will be a chance of your ship sinking as soon as its condition reaches 50%. The chance of sinking starts out very low and increases depending on how bad the ship’s condition becomes.
10.) Deadline of contracts
11.) Contract penalties
- Here you will be able to adjust the penalty payments for delayed deliveries.
12.) Frequency of economic crises
- You will be able to adjust how often an economic crisis will occur during the game year. Exactly one region will be chosen where premiums and region points of contracts will be very low for the duration of the crisis.
13.) Length of day in real-time seconds per game day
14.) Reflection period of AI opponents
- Here you will be able to adjust how long an AI opponent will be allowed to reflect on its strategy when one of its ships enters a port.
You will be able to find your user-defined configurations in the save game folders of TransOcean 2 (Documents\TransOcean 2\Savegames) as:
- GlobalDataCustomUserValue1.gsd
- GlobalDataCustomUserValue2.gsd
- GlobalDataCustomUserValue3.gsd
You can send this file to your friends and so exchange your favorite configurations.
We hope you will enjoy the update!
