Hey everyone!
It's a happy day today, as The Talos Principle is getting the long-awaited engine upgrade we've been talking about ever since we launched Serious Sam Fusion. This update is very similar to the one we pushed to open beta a few weeks ago, but also fixes most of the things that were reported during beta.
The highlights of the update are Tobii Eye Tracking and DX12 support, as well as further Vulkan tweaks.
Tobii Eye Tracking
We have worked closely with our friends from Tobii to implement exciting eye tracking features like Jam at Gaze, Connect at Gaze and Pick up at Gaze. Those features allow you to be more efficient in your problem-solving adventures, while the Extended View feature and Clean UI improve your immersion in Talos' world of puzzles and philosophy.
To celebrate this launch Tobii is about to have a cool contest, so be sure to jump on their Twitter page, give them a follow and await further instructions.
If you are having issues please report by starting a new thread in the tech support forum [https://steamcommunity.com/app/257510/discussions/1/] and we'll be on it straight away.
As always, if you are not satisfied with this build there's an option to go back to the older one. To do so, please follow the steps below:
— right click on The Talos Principle in your Steam library
— go to properties > betas
— opt-in by picking the "previousversion" branch in the drop-down menu
