Today, we're deploying a new hotfix that addresses some issues (gameplay, localization, saves corrupted) reported lately:
Various bug fixes:
- Fixed an issue with german localization causing invasion events to trigger improperly.
- Fixed various localization issues in all languages supported (English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish).
- The standard 9% tax rate no longer causes a malus in city sentiment if only part of the population is taxed (more balance updates are coming for city sentiment).
- Serabit Khadim is now properly invaded by Canaanites instead of Pharaoh's army.
- The proper briefing now plays in Cleopatra's Alexandria.
- In Campaign mode, Iken is no longer playing like its sandbox version.
- The game no longer stutters when animals are surrounded by buildings.
Saves corruption:
- Fixed various issues corrupting players' saves.
- Fixed userstats.data file getting larger and larger with each save.
- Prevent userstats.data getting included with every save.
From now on, every new save will be its standard expected size. You can now load most of the saves marked as corrupted before, but a minority of them might not be retrievable.
If this is something you encounter, you can still restart the last mission you reach during the campaign by manually deleting all the auto-saves and manual saves of this specific mission. The game remembers the most advanced city reached and will redirect you to the beginning of the mission.
