Building
- While the Tavern is being edited, it stops generating revenue. Consider pausing the game during this time to avoid unnecessary losses.
- Pay attention to every object's effects. Some can help you to keep your minions' spirit up.
- Avoid forcing your minions to climb four flights of stairs to reach basic amenities, like toilets...
- Look-out for new raids/new objects sold on the market. Some can be surprisingly useful.
Minions
- Orcs and Elves don't like each other. You could duplicate basic rooms (one kept clean and one worse than a teenage boy's bedroom) to accommodate both.
- Dwarves are annoying. Don't forget to furnish your rooms with dedicated furniture.
- If something goes wrong, try to look for clues in the HR and Accounting screens.
- Minions ranked 6 and higher prefer to eat sweet-meals.
Fight
- Tocs'hens only call for the closest guard-room and every undead on the floor. Place them with care.
- If adventurers are too strong for your guards, try accumulating armament with your workshops (may also require some dwarves).
- Avoid covering half your dungeon floor in traps, elves (and other minions) might trigger them.
Others
- Any connected controller may interact strangely with the game (we're working on it).
How to cancel a duplicate of a room?
If you started building a room and want to restart from scratch, do not validate the room to stay in building mode and just right-click: you'll be able to delete the room entirely.
If you already built a room and want to delete it, click on the room and press the "sell room" button. Note that some rooms cannot be sold at the beginning of the game as they're needed for the tutorial, but you'll be able to sell them later in the campaign.
I found that there are some unkillable enemies, what should I do?
Remove the relic from the pedestal and it should unblock the situation.
Management of the Tavern
To manage your tavern properly, It's not enough to just put tables on it! Add more counters until there is a balance between the number of customers the number of people in the queue there.
Improve how your employees move around
If you want people to be able to move around in your dungeon, you put in at least two or three staircases because, in fact, if people can't find a way to go somewhere that could be a reason why they're grumbling so there.
Why did my employees resign?
If the resignations of your employees start at the start of each decade, it's probably because you don't have enough bankers and if there are too many people queuing up, they may get bored and leave. You should put many counters as you can and make sure it's the dwarfs who are working on it. Put them in beds, a canteen, a breaking room to make sure that they have a good working condition.
Why did minions not go to the room that I built?
It could be because they're waiting for their salary, which is the minions' priority. But it could also be because the room is:
- Too clean or too dirty (depending on the minions' origins)
- Too far away (build amenities close to where minions work!)
- Not prestigious enough for their expectations
Also check the food stocks in the kitchens! Minions won't go to eat if there's a shortage of their preferred food.
