New Character
A new character from the high seas has been added to KartRider: Drift! You can learn more through the in-game [Item Mode Skill] menu, or in the Character Skills Guide.
Tanya
"Toto, dear, where aaare you?"
She may not look much like her younger cousin Toto, but they're still family. She's oblivious to the terrible luck that follows her everywhere she goes, something her poor cousin knows about all too well...
And unfortunately for him, Tanya adores her poor little cousin...
Active Skill: Sharp Shooter (Intermediate): Tanya takes aim with piratical style! She aims at an area based on her current speed, targeting all opposing Racers in the area. Tanya then fires 2 rounds of specially modified rounds for each targeted Racer, inflicting missile damage and temporarily disabling the balloons of any Racer it hits.
Game Balance Changes
Active Skill Changes
- Greed on the High Seas (Lodumani):
- Area of Effect has been increased.[/*]
- Now creates Cursed Item Boxes for a set period in the location of a looted Item Box. Opposing Racers who collect the Cursed Item Box will not receive an item, and a randomly selected item will be removed instead.[/*]
- For all ranks, the first use of this skill is available at the start of the race without a cooldown.[/*]
- Developer's Note: Lodumani's skill allows him to loot all nearby item boxes, to fill his own slots and prevent other Racers from obtaining them. However, filling the player's item slots doesn't feel like that large of a bonus, and the boxes have short respawn times, leading many players to consider his skill to be too low-impact, resulting in low pick-rates. Lodumani now has a more high-impact and disruptive skill. The skill not only loots all nearby item boxes, but also leaves a cursed item box that will steal one of the items from opposing Racers that try to collect one.[/*]
- Skill cooldowns have been decreased:
- Common: 15s, 7.5s after first use per race (Previously 20s / 10s)[/*]
- Fine: 14.2s, 7.1s after first use per race (Previously 19s / 9.5s)[/*]
- Rare: 13.4s, 6.7s after first use per race (Previously 18s / 9s)[/*]
- Heroic: 12.6s, 6.3s after first use per race (Previously 17s / 8.5s)[/*]
- Legendary: 11.8s, 5.9s after first use per race (Previously 16s / 8s)[/*]
- Skill cooldowns have been decreased:
- Common: 13s, 6.5s after first use per race (Previously 15s / 7.5s)[/*]
- Fine: 12.3s, 6.1s after first use per race (Previously 14.2s / 7.1s)[/*]
- Rare: 11.6s, 5.8s after first use per race (Previously 13.4s / 6.7s)[/*]
- Heroic: 10.9s, 5.4s after first use per race (Previously 12.6s / 6.3s)[/*]
- Legendary: 10.2s, 5.1s after first use per race (Previously 11.8s / 5.9s)[/*]
- Skill cooldowns have been decreased:
- Common: 14s, 7s after first use per race (Previously 17s / 8.5s)[/*]
- Fine: 13.3s, 6.6s after first use per race (Previously 16.1s / 8s)[/*]
- Rare: 12.6s, 6.3s after first use per race (Previously 15.2s / 7.6s)[/*]
- Heroic: 11.9s, 5.9s after first use per race (Previously 14.3s / 7.1s)[/*]
- Legendary: 11.2s, 5.6s after first use per race (Previously 13.4s / 6.7s)[/*]
- Skill cooldowns have been decreased:
- Common: 16s, 8s after first use per race (Previously 21s / 10.5s)[/*]
- Fine: 15.2s, 7.6s after first use per race (Previously 19.9s / 9.9s)[/*]
- Rare: 14.4s, 7.2s after first use per race (Previously 18.8s / 9.4s)[/*]
- Heroic: 13.6s, 6.8s after first use per race (Previously 17.7s / 8.8s)[/*]
- Legendary: 12.8s, 6.4s after first use per race (Previously 16.6s / 8.3s)[/*]
- If the skill is successfully used, then the cooldown for the next use will be decreased.[/*]
- Developer's Note: Compared to the risks that come with Mayor Zipi's skill, the returns of a successful use are still too small. As a result, we decided to reduce the cooldown of the skill following a successful use. This way, Mayor Zipi will be able to use the skill more often as they successfully use it multiple times.[/*]
Passive Skill Changes
- Sleight of Hand (Mobi):
- The item copy available status will now always be active when the skill is used.
- The skill will become active again after a set duration, following successfully copying an item.[/*]
- Common: 10s (Previously 25s)[/*]
- Fine: 9.5s (Previously 24s)[/*]
- Rare: 9s (Previously 23s)[/*]
- Heroic: 8.5s (Previously 22s)[/*]
- Legendary: 8s (Previously 21s)[/*]
- Cannonball is now an aimed item, which creates an explosion centered on the target Racer.[/*]
- Cannonball's explosion no longer affects Racers on the same team.[/*]
- Item change chance has been increased for all ranks:
- Common: 78% (Previously 58%)[/*]
- Fine: 81% (Previously 60%)[/*]
- Rare: 84% (Previously 62%)[/*]
- Heroic: 87% (Previously 64%)[/*]
- Legendary: 90% (Previously 66%)[/*]
As such, the Cannonball item has been changed into an aimed item, and also creates a blast radius centered on the targeted Racer, so that it is always an improvement over a missile. Of course, allied Racers won't be affected by the explosion, thus making the skill more useful in more use cases.[/*]
[/*]
