Thank you to everyone who has played Hammerwatch II! It’s been an exciting few days and we love hearing from our community. Today, we released a patch that improves dropping loot between players and fixes bugs that some community members have encountered. You can find the full list of patch notes below.
Additionally, we are working on a second patch that changes how character save slots work in a new multiplayer mode. We originally designed the saves in a way that allowed for you to play with a host and be able to mod the character created on the host’s play session. After hearing all your feedback, we see there is high demand to be able to bring your saved character into another player’s game. We will release a second patch where there will be persistent character save slots that allow you to do this. One quick note, the modding tools will not work in the new mode with persistent characters.
Patch Notes
- Added new "Instanced loot" game option so the host can change whether everyone should get their own loot or if everyone shares
- Loading a multiplayer save with mods or switches no longer resets them
- Added a proper sanity check for cloud save names
- Fixed some collision issues
- Improved readability for the Chinese language
If you have any feedback or run into any bugs, please reach out on our Discord server!
Cheers,
Your Crackshell and Modus teams
