Within the realm of Hammerwatch II, you will embark upon a noble quest, wielding the mantle of one among five esteemed classes. Some time ago we described the wanderous Warlocks and the cunning Rogues. Today, we shall shed light upon another magnificent class: that of the Paladin.
Behold, the Paladin.
The Paladin, a paragon of righteousness, stands resolute in upholding the laws of the land through unwavering conviction and sheer might. Endowed with unparalleled skill in wielding the mighty mace, this stalwart champion ensures no foe can harm him, for he defends himself with an impenetrable shield. At the Apprentice level, he is granted four special abilities.
Paladin’s Abilities to master.
Apprentice Abilities:
1. Shield Charge (Dash). Charge forward with your shield raised, inflicting Stun to enemies you collide with.
2. Mace Swing (Mainhand Attack). Deliver a powerful melee strike with your mace, dealing Mainhand damage.
3. Shield Block (Offhand Skill). Activates Shield Block from your equipped shield. Additionally, you gain a passive chance to block Physical damage.
4. Righteous Hammer (Spell). Hurl a magical hammer at your foes, dealing Physical damage to all enemies in its path.
As is customary among all character classes in Hammerwatch II, with experience and game progress, your Paladin will gain another level - and with it points. These points can be used to improve available abilities and unlock new ones.
