Of course, that’s just one part of the event. The Halo World Championship is an event for all kinds of fans to enjoy. As such, this event will once again see the return of the Community Stage, cosplay contest, partnered team booths, and more.

What is HaloWC?
The Halo World Championship event is a celebration of the Halo community, an event that has something for every kind of fan which provides epic entertainment against the backdrop of thrilling competition.
The Seattle Convention Center will be transformed for a weekend of non-stop Halo action. Meet Halo developers, witness incredible cosplays, get hands-on with the game yourself, and join us at the Community Stage for a series of panels celebrating the long history of this storied franchise.
And at the center of it all, you will see the culmination of this year’s great journey for HCS as the best professional competitive Halo teams battle to be crowned this year’s winners and claim the mantle of victory.
But the competition doesn’t end there, as we’ve got some additional prize-winning opportunities at the event.

Community Stage
The Community Stage is where we’ll be hosting a variety of panels on October 4-5 about everything Halo—from community discussions to developer talks, deep dives into Halo’s lore, playdates, and activities you can get involved in.
The Community Stage will kick off at noon on Friday and Saturday and the fun will continue all the way until approximately 8PM each day with a new panel or activity starting on the hour, every hour. Here’s a glimpse at some of the notable confirmed Community Stage experiences lined up for this year’s event.
“Canon Fodder Live” (Friday) - Dive into Halo’s lore and storytelling at HaloWC with a new edition of Canon Fodder LIVE, featuring fun fiction discussion and a preview of the next novel, Halo: Empty Throne.
“Combat Workshop – 1v1 Showdown” (Friday & Saturday) - Go head-to-head in a pre-release Halo Infinite 1v1 experience live on the Community Stage for prizes and of course, bragging rights.
“Community Playdate Live” (Friday & Saturday) - We’ll kick off each day with some high-octane Halo Infinite gameplay where members of the audience will square off for glory, prizes, and the exclusive Ice Unicorn reward.

“Digsite Deep-Dive: Halo 2” (Saturday) - Join special guests Kenneth Peters and Sean Cooper as we explore restored surprises and more from the cutting room floor of Halo 2 in celebration of its upcoming 20th anniversary.
“Feet First Into Halo” (Saturday) - Join members of the Halo Cosplay Community to learn everything you’ve ever wanted to know about getting started as a cosplayer with insightful tips, advice, amazing builds, and helpful resources.
“Girly Spark” (Saturday) - Join Halo community special guests LaSinity, Sarvanah, and Domino, with host snickerdoodle, to celebrate women in Halo! Chat with them to learn more about the scene, their respective roles and programs, opportunities to get involved, and chances to win some special prizes.
“Halo Infinite Development Deep Dives” (Friday) - Join members of the team to learn more about the development process behind recent updates to Forge and get a preview of some exciting things on the horizon! On Saturday, the team will take a closer look at what goes into a Halo Infinite Sandbox overhaul.
“Halo Trivia” (Friday) - How much do you know about Halo? Put your knowledge to the test for the chance to win some sweet prizes!
“The Art of Halo” (Friday) - Join special guests Isaac Hannaford, Glenn Israel, William “Pixelflare” Cameron, and Ben Frazier for a discussion about the iconic art of Halo.
“The Forge Falcons – Forging the Future” (Saturday) - Take a deep dive with members of the Forge Falcons to learn how some of your favorite Halo experiences come to life along with some big announcements and special reveals.

Cosplay Contest
The Cosplay Contest returns to the Halo World Championship with $5,000 up for grabs!
Every year, we are blown away by the passion, talent, and dedication of Halo’s cosplay community, and we can’t wait to see how you show up to this year’s event which is being run in partnership with the amazing folks of the 405th.
Signing up to the Cosplay Contest is free and conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure to complete your objective of filling out the form ASAP.

Cosplay Contest Rules
The prizes for this year’s Cosplay Contest are:
- 1st Place - $3,000 USD
- 2nd Place - $1,500 USD
- 3rd Place - $500 USD
The Cosplay Contest will take the following format (note that these times may be subject to change):
Qualifier 1: (FRIDAY - 3:00PM PT): All those in costume will be invited on stage in groups to show off costume to the audience and judges. The judges will score all participants based on execution, creativity, complexity and accuracy.
Qualifiers 2 (SATURDAY - 3:00PM PT): All those in costume will be invited on stage in groups to show off costume to the audience and judges. The judges will score all participants based on execution, creativity, complexity and accuracy. Judges will then invite the top 3 entrants with the highest scores from Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 to the Finals.
Finals: (SATURDAY - 6:00PM PT): Invited contestants will be invited to Finals and judged based on execution, creativity, complexity and accuracy to determine the order of the top 3 winners.
Partner Booths
As you explore the venue, you’ll find various partner booths where you can acquire official merch for Halo and competing teams, take photos to keep as a memento to an unforgettable weekend, and more.

Onsite Experiences & Extras
Combat Workshop Live
For those that enjoy going hands-on at the free-play stations, we have a few fun surprises planned.
First and foremost, fresh from the Salt Lake City event, we’ll be showing off our new 1v1 Showdown mode.
Face off against another Spartan in this head-to-head, round based experience. Get more kills than your opponent to win the round BUT the highest score wins the match. Score points based on how you kill your enemy – style counts! Each round players move to a different combat arena with different loadouts and pickups.
Jump in and see if you have the steady hands (and nerves) to come out on top.
And because this is Combat Workshop Live, we want to hear from you! Come try out this experience and then let us know what you think. There will be QR codes with feedback forms around the venue.
