Hello everyone!
We're thrilled to announce the official release of Glitchpunk Version 1.0! This update is a
culmination of all the hard work and feedback we've received during our Early Access
journey. We've combined all the new content and improvements from previous updates into
one comprehensive and coherent release. Let’s dive into what's new and improved in this
final version.
New Cities: Neograd and Neo-Tokyo
Neograd
Step into the snowy, bloody streets of Neograd, a city ravaged by violence and degeneracy
of the scale not seen before. You find yourself caught in a crossfire between the National
Army, led by androids, and The People's Voice, controlled by local oligarchs. A third party,
operating from the shadows, adds to the chaos. Explore this intricate storyline, navigate
through new challenges, and cruise the streets in vehicles unique to Neograd. With higher
difficulty missions, you'll need all the help you can get, and luckily, new mercenaries are
available for recruitment.
In Neograd, love is a commodity. Lover Bots are available here, offering a mix of
pheromones and beneficial substances to keep your spirits and health levels high. While
they can make you nearly invincible against lower-level enemies, remember that a relentless
barrage of attacks can still bring you down.
Neo-Tokyo
Enter Neo-Tokyo, the final city completing our vision of four distinct playable areas. This
vibrant metropolis brings new gangs, environments, radio stations, and vehicles, enhancing
your Glitchpunk experience.
The role of Neo-Tokyo is to close the storyline and give closure to a few threads that have
been unraveled in previous chapters. Some answers might be given, while at the same time
we open a few more topics to your interpretation. Because of that and the fact that previous
cities already deliver quite a lot of high difficulty gameplay which we expect you to take a
considerable amount of time, there are only three, very intense missions in Neo-Tokyo, one
for each gang, which will be the final test of your skills.
More wanted levels!
Now that one is crazy, but we know you will be up to the challenge: we’ve thrown all kinds of
law enforcement on you in previous updates and you managed to deal with them one way or
another. This time we push the maximum wanted level even further and bring to the streets
a few more special units, trying to get rid of you - mercenaries with various equipment based
on the wanted level (available in both new cities) and police mechs, ready to blow you and
your vehicle away in a matter of seconds if you’re not careful enough (Neo-Tokyo only). We
wish you happy hunting and having fun figuring out tactics of most effective disposal!
