Highlights:
- Map data updated to February 2024 and preparation for future regular map updates
- Extensive enhancements, improvements and bug fixes to the map loading system
- Break room with new objects added where employees can relax
- Significantly reduced office space required per employee, and now also taking into account the area of the office, kitchen, bathroom and break room

- Savegame size greatly reduced, which also fixes problems with the Steam Cloud (old savegames need to be saved once)

Map:
- Update of the map data to February 2024
- New delivery of map data: The map data is now no longer supplied via Steam, instead the required tiles are downloaded when starting a new game. This means that all regions no longer require a lump sum of 50GB of hard drive space, but only a few MB per city.
- Offline use: Once downloaded, cities are also available offline. In addition, the most popular cities are included so that a new game can always be started even without the Internet.
- Acceleration of loading time by providing cache data: The cached map data, which enables a map to be loaded in the shortest possible time, will now be made available to all players on our cache server. This means that if a city has already been loaded once by a player, the cache data will then be downloaded directly for all players, which greatly speeds up loading times for a new game.
- Data saving mode: If you have poor internet or limited data volume, you can activate this setting so that only the smaller OpenStreetMap raw data is downloaded and the new cache is not used.
- Larger maps: The individual tiles are now approx. 4 times larger. For existing savegames, the old tile format is converted to the new one, so that the playing area is slightly larger. There are now 10 large instead of 20 small tile extensions possible, which significantly increases the total possible area.
- Map versioning per savegame: Existing savegames can either continue to be played with the old map version or be updated to the latest map version.
- Regular map updates in the future: By optimising our entire provisioning process, we will be able to offer map updates at regular intervals in the future.
- Loading stability improvements: The loading process has been fundamentally revised so that it has been fixed that the game could hang during loading (often at tile 24/49)
- New countries / regions: Lesser Antilles, La Réunion, Puerto Rico, Cayman Islands, Macao
- Fixed problems when loading island regions (e.g. Tenerife)
- Fixed green stripes on the map
- Transitions between previous region packs (e.g. Switzerland-Italy, Denmark-Sweden) are now possible without any problems
- Fixed a bug where water areas were sometimes not displayed on maps (e.g. in Gothenburg)
- Fixed a bug that caused some characters to be displayed incorrectly after reloading a map
Performance:
- Improved performance on the map through fundamental changes to the rendering system
- Fixed lags when zooming on maps with a large number of stops
- Improved performance through fundamental optimisations to the employee and bus system
- Improved performance with a high number of bus routes
- Fixed regular hangs at 1 minute intervals
Map and stops:
- The search on the map can now also be used to search for bus stops
- Fixed a bug that caused the letters entered when searching on the map to disappear again when typing
- Fixed a bug where a satisfaction of 0 was always displayed for some stops
- Fixed a bug where it was sometimes no longer possible to zoom in on the map after an expansion
- Fixed a bug that caused long stop names to cause a display error in the "Edit stop" form
- Fixed a bug that could cause the radius of a stop to disappear
Building:
- Fixed a bug that caused „Not reachable“ markers to appear for no reason
- Bus parking spaces can now also be built in halls with drag & drop
- Added scrollbar in the construction menu for small displays
Employees:
- If a standardised salary is set for a specific employee group, this is now also preselected by default for new applicants
- The mailbox now also shows which depot each employee works in
- Significant improvements to the queues for toilets / fridges etc.
- Fixed a bug that caused employees to queue to use a toilet / fridge etc. even though another free one was available
- Stress, hunger and thirst no longer increase for sick employees while they are at home
- Fixed various bugs that caused employees to miss work
Buses:
- Fixed a bug that caused buses not to park correctly after a depot extension
- Licence plates and fleet numbers can no longer be assigned twice while a bus is on loan or with the manufacturer
- New buses no longer visually show the wrong licence plate number
- Fixed a bug that caused the fleet number to be displayed in the wrong colour
- Fixed a bug that caused the status bar of some buses to be displayed in green even though something is broken
- Fixed a bug where defective buses were sometimes not displayed in the filter
- Small UI bug fixes
- Fixed a bug where the loading screen no longer disappeared when uploading a bus repaint to the Steam Workshop in case of errors
Events:
- Penalties for traffic controls greatly reduced and frequency of the event reduced
- Giveaway events no longer occur in expert mode
- Employees no longer ask for leave shortly before a shift
- Pandemic and city festival events no longer occur at the same time
- Flu epidemic event now occurs less frequently
- Fixed a bug where rail replacement orders sometimes never ended
- Fixed a bug where individual buses could no longer be used in rare cases after the recall event
- Fixed a bug that caused employees to call every second to ask for a break
- Fixed a bug that caused some events to still occur even though they were deactivated
- Fixed a bug where buses could no longer be used after a rental event
- Fixed a bug that caused the evacuation event to start multiple times in rare cases

- Shifts that start shortly after midnight are no longer started too late

- Fixed various errors when displaying the length and duration of a line
- Fixed a bug where renamed lines were still incorrectly named in the line statistics

- Update to Unity 2022.3.20
- Improvements to the translations (Many thanks to all translators in the community!)
- Background noises at night adjusted
- The task "Line network coverage in a specific city" no longer requires the connection of very small villages
- ToDo list enlarged
- The amount of subsidies no longer adjusts in real time, but every 12 in-game hours

Notes:
- Loading old savegames for the first time will take longer, as the old map caches are no longer compatible with the new version and must be recreated.
- A bug has been fixed that caused passengers to sometimes not get off at the final stops. This may have an impact on passenger numbers. Please let us know if the passenger numbers in your savegames suffer and we will make some adjustments.
