10 Scenarios, hundreds of timetable substitutions and a unique locomotive. Athena Simulations' East Coast Main Line Diesel Railtour Pack is out now!
Rolling Stock
47484, Mk1 Coaches, Class 40 & 45 locomotives

A roster straight from the 1980s features for this Add-on, including the uniquely modelled variant of the Class 47 locomotive: no.47484 ‘Isambard Kingdom Brunel’.
This retro loco, adorned in western green, was a rare catch in the British Rail days thanks to its ornate furnishings and distinct heritage livery. Despite declining into disarray, this fallen legend springs back to life for modern railtour duty, courtesy of Athena Simulations.

The model features custom 3D nameplates and number plates (including the unique brass BR logo) and the variations in each cab end, after the real locomotive was rebuilt following accident damage.

Inside the cab, the locomotive’s systems reflect those present before being taken out of service. As such, more modern safety systems that would be required for running on today’s tracks are not implemented.

Also included are variants of the ubiquitous Mk1 coaching stock in BR blue and grey livery. These coaches have been remodelled, coming in BG, TSO, BSO and FK variants that are both Air and Vacuum Braked.
This is the first release to include these Mk1 variants in this livery and that are Dual Braked – features that have been requested by the community to allow for versatility when creating loco-hauled railtours in Scenario Planner, Free Roam and Formation Designer.

For some additional action, the Class 40 and 45 locomotives previously seen in the Northern Trans-Pennine and BR Heavy Freight Pack Add-ons are included.
Players do not need to own previously released content to access these locomotives.
Scenarios – East Coast Main Line

The pack includes 10 Scenarios in total on the East Coast Main Line route Add-on.
Keen to avoid repetitive A to B Scenarios, Athena Simulations have created depot movements, run-round movements and coupling as well as double-headed formations replicating special railtours along the East Coast Main Line. Some of the Athena Simulations team followed and travelled on such rail tours in the 1980s.
Paths in some Scenarios take to the slow lines to allow main line traffic to pass by. Expect signals to hold you up as the priority is given to the faster LNER Azumas!
The Scenarios are as follows:
Brunel Comes Home
Drive 47484 Isambard Kingdom Brunel from Doncaster to Peterborough, on the first leg of a railtour to the South West.
During the journey, you will be given information about the life and career of Brunel.

Taking A Peak
Drive a Class 45 from Peterborough to Doncaster on a farewell tour. Expect numerous signal checks and looping to remain clear of commuter traffic and Kings Cross expresses.
Whistle While You Work
Drive a pair of double-headed Class 40 “Whistlers” from Doncaster to Peterborough on a leg of a railtour from York to Penzance. The locos will be required to keep to a strict timetable for regular photo stops.
Scottish Brunel
47484 is performing a railtour from Inverness to London Kings Cross. Pick up the heavily delayed service at Doncaster, with stops at Grantham and Peterborough.
Isambard Comes North
47484 'Isambard Kingdom Brunel' is at Retford. Pick up 47484 at Retford and drive a northbound tour to Doncaster. On arrival at Doncaster run around your train and haul the ECS to Doncaster Depot.

Peterborough Parking
Take the Class 47 from Newark to Peterborough on a southbound leg of a railtour from Sheffield. On arrival at Peterborough, you will need to both shunt the ECS to sidings and stable the locomotive.
Brunel Nights
47484 is required first thing in the morning to lead a railtour heading North out of Doncaster. Drive through the night from Peterborough with empty coaching stock to Doncaster ready for the tour to start at the crack of dawn. Expect speed restrictions and line diversions as the late night operation coincides with engineering work on the ECML.

Weather Woes
47484 is performing a tour south to London Kings Cross from Doncaster. The driving rain and poor visibility is no deterrent to the eager fans, despite making conditions difficult on the journey. Drive as far as Peterborough, calling at Retford, Newark, Grantham and Peterborough for photo opportunities in the appalling weather!
Christmas to the Cross
Take a Class 40 from Doncaster to Peterborough, on a Christmas special, with a photo stop at Grantham. Expect delays and difficult traction in this snowbound scenario.

Double Up
Operate a Class 45 and 47484 double headed from Peterborough to Doncaster. Take the 45 and couple to the stabled Class 47 at Peterborough, before reversing onto the coaching stock and heading north to Doncaster.
Timetable Substitutions on other TSW routes

In addition, a substantial amount of work has been done to implement the railtour services into the timetables of other Train Sim World route Add-ons as timetable substitutions.
