Hello Fellow Fishermen,
First of all, we’d like to apologise for the lack of communication around The Fisherman – Fishing Planet. We’re aware of all the feedback you’ve given since launch, and want to address these in the best way possible.
With that in mind, we’ve got a couple of announcements, first up is that we’re releasing an update today that will address some of the general stability issues within The Fisherman – Fishing Planet, especially in regards to online performance.
- Connection Stability Improvements[list]
- Improved connection to the online servers, resulting in less cases of random disconnection
- This refers to instances where the game was played for longer periods of time, resulting in micro-stutters or slowdowns in the general gameplay
Moving forward we’re looking to tackle some of the bugs you’ve been highlighting in the forum and improve the overall performance of The Fisherman.
Additionally, we’ll be working with the developers to bring new content created for Fishing Planet to The Fisherman as paid additions to the game. We’ll be starting with the Mississippi Blue Crab Island, which will be released later this Spring.
Mississippi Blue Crab Island includes:
- Level Cap Increase (55)
- New Waterway – Mississippi Blue Crab Island
- New Fish Species[list]
- Bonefish
- Speckled Peacock Bass
- Southern Flounder
- Permit
We’ll go into more detail about the Mississippi Blue Crab Island closer to launch. However, if your purchase the DLC, you’ll have instant access to everything mentioned above and more.
