Compared to the last version this update:
- Has some new music.
- Has some new sound design.
- Has a fair bit of extra overall polish. Tabitha's car now has keys in the ignition.
If you haven't played Scarlet Hollow in a while, there's a few pretty major updates you might have missed, too!
- We added a seventh trait to the game on Christmas of last year — Talk to Animals. It's fairly self explanatory.
- We replaced all of Stella's sprites with a tweaked design that was closer to our original vision.
In case you missed it, we've also created a new Steam page where you'll be able to purchase an Early Access version of the game as soon as Episode 2 drops. If you haven't already, please head on over to wishlist and follow the new page! We've got a few community stretch goals in place for hitting wishlist milestones, and as of the time of this writing we're getting pretty darn close to hitting our second goal.
This new page in lieu of our original release plan, which was going to be a paid season pass tied to this Steam page. Ultimately, we decided it wouldn't be worth the hit in visibility to go that route, since discounted DLC is only promoted to folks who already have the base game, which gets rid of one of the biggest assets Steam offers as a storefront. If you've already purchased a season pass key from our Kickstarter or our BackerKit page, fear not, you'll be getting a key to the Early Access release instead, which is functionally the exact same thing.
For anyone who's worried, your save files will still work with this new page, since the Episode 1 build and all future builds should share the same save folder. We've also tied the two pages together w/ cloud saving, so that should work out too.
Thank you so much for your support in the months between our initial release and now. The game's grown a lot, and we're so excited to share everything we've been building with each and every one of you.
