We are delighted to announce that Nocturnal: Enhanced Edition is out now and for free.

Why an Enhanced Edition, you might ask?
We felt the original version wasn't the game we first envisioned, and we wanted you to experience the best possible version we could make.

The game still isn't perfect, as we are still learning and evolving, but we do think that this version is significantly better. We sincerely hope you'll enjoy it!

Let's get to the real stuff: content!
We've included the 1.1 update to give you a clear vision of what's been added since launch.
Here's a list of the new stuff (A showcase trailer is available at the bottom of the post):

- An extended moveset
- Several new talents to burn down everything! (including 6 new active ones!)
- Extended levels with new sections (some levels have been redone)
- New enemies: The Swarm and Shielded
- New accessibility feature (eases up the difficulty, available through the options)
- New lore items (5 more letters)
- New visual feedback (for instance, fire extinguished by water)
- New music & lots of new SFX
- Improved melee combat FX
- New destructibles and types of platforms
- Global game rebalance to make the game more intense
- Visual and lighting enhancements (added a lot of new rooms and vistas)
- Redesigned storyline and dialogs
- New tips between loadings
- New tutorials
- Strong optimization + performance mode accessible through the options
- New reading animation for lore items
- New Level selection menu + UI improvements
- And there are countless other small changes to make the game feel and play better.
