During the last 6 months when Metro Simulator has been in process of porting to other platforms, we came across two big key issues: optimization and controls.

The most difficult part is to optimize the game for each platform. As you may know, PS4 and Xbox One are way behind modern PCs in terms of performance, while Nintendo Switch only has 4GB of RAM. RAM is the most tight place in optimizing our game, and porting team had to do serious optimization to make the game work smoothly on PS4, Xbox One and Switch.

Another task is to re-assign all the controls. There are not many buttons on the controllers, so we made a system in which you can do something by pressing key combinations.

Release of the game on consoles is a perfect chance to widen our audience and bring our ideas to more people.

Metro Simulator is coming to PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on June 24, 2021.
