As most of you are aware, it's been a while since we last brought you news from our studio. We like to be transparent and won't make it a secret that for the majority of 2019 we have been dealing with some challenges that plagued the development of Lunacy: Saint Rhodes. This led to the fact that the game is now planned to release in 2020 instead of 2019.
That said, we're very happy to let you know that our team has been able to overcome the most pressing issues and has moved back into full gear.
While working to resolve our development issues, we discovered that we weren't completely happy with the look & feel of the environments in Lunacy: Saint Rhodes. This is why we spent a good chunk of our time focusing on perfecting the experience of exploring in and around its buildings. Our goal is to make the game feel as if you've stepped into a place that lives and breathes, without it coming across overly designed.
Many hours have been spent on dynamic weather, lighting, foliage, animations and the sound design of the world around you. And we've greatly improved the performance & FPS, which is pretty neat if we say so ourselves! You won't stumble upon cookie cutter interiors, perfectly arranged furniture and organised surfaces during your investigation. The houses of Lunacy: Saint Rhodes will make you wonder: Did someone just leave? Are they still around? Or have they been gone for months already?
It's up to you to discover, if you dare.
We couldn't be more excited to share the results of our hard work with all of you. Humanity was not meant to come here, yet we want to invite you to step foot into the revamped sights of Saint Rhodes with us.
