Journey To The Salvage Planet ist ein sehr witziges und schönes Singleplayer Spiel, wenn man Freunde hat kann man es auch noch mit denen zusammen spielen. Man kann seine 12 bis 15 Stunden damit verbringen. Die Welt ist auch noch dazu sehr schön.
Im großen und ganzen ein tolles Spiel.

Bisweilen machen nach 3 Stunden die Erkundungen immer noch Spaß, mal sehen, wie es im späteren Verlauf aussieht. Für meinen Geschmack bisher eine klare Empfehlung, vor allem wenn es im Sale ist.

Der seltsam gewollte, zwischen naiv und böse schwankende Humor hat mich abgeholt, auch wenn nicht wirklich jeder Witz ein Treffer war. Die Welt ist herrlich bunt und das zwar nicht anspruchslose, aber auch mit halber Hirnkapazität zu stemmende Gameplay lud zum entspannten Entdecken und Sammeln ein.
Ein wirklich nettes Kleinod - mit durchaus Potential zu mehr!

Ein wirklich tolles und witziges Abenteuer. Ein wirklich etwas abgedrehtes Spiel mit einer sehr bunten Optik. Die Grafik ist jetzt nicht wirklich ultra gut, aber durch das farbenfrohe Design wirklich stimmig. Ein Spiel für Entdecker und das ist auch wichtig, weil das Erkunden durchaus belohnt wird. Seine Ausrüstung muss man im laufenden Spiel verbessern, um im Spiel weiter zu kommen. Das Spiel vermischt so ein paar Elemente miteinander. Auch Grinding gehört etwas dazu, aber wenn man die kurze Spielzeit bedenkt, dann hält es sich noch in Grenzen. Knifflig sind ein paar Bosskämpfe und auch ein paar Sprungeinlagen können etwas nervig sein. Leider fehlt auch manchmal etwas die Übersicht, wo der Weg jetzt genau weiter geht. Eine deutsche Sprachausgabe gibt es auch nicht. Ansonsten ist es ein wirklich schönes Abenteuer, wenn man sich auf das Spiel einlässt. Schaut euch irgendein Video mal an, ob das Spiel was für euch ist, um mal einen Eindruck zu bekommen. Ich hab das Spiel nur zufällig wieder gefunden, weil es ziemlich schnell wieder in der Versenkung gelandet ist. Es ist aber auch eher ein einmaliges Erlebnis. 8/10

This game has much potential. Very. Much.
It could be an awesome Coop Metriodvania FPS.
(srsly it's everything there to be one. the basic structure is there!)
But it is not. Its just a fun little game.
Thats it.

Gutes Coop-Game mit guten Humor und viel Zeug um Müll zu bauen. Die Rätsel sind nicht sonderlich schwer, sonder es ist eher ein Grindgame. Man kann aber auch sich an bestimmten Stellen einfach an Hindernissen vorbei buggen oder an bestimmten Stellen eigene Shortcuts finden.

Like a goofy Metroid prime. Fun, colorful, with entertaining mechanics. Ignore the reviews saying this game was too short. I'm tired of huge games that drag on and on and get repetitive. I like the length of this game. I finished it in like 15 hours or so with 85% without doing the expansion. Nothing really felt repeated or cut and pasted. It was a nice change.

I have no idea how this game didn't get more traction than it has. It's an incredibly original and very interesting game. Highly suggest giving it a try. It's a very refreshing, fun exploration game. Definitely worth.

Journey to a Savage Planet is an amazing game by Typhoon that did not get as much coverage as it deserves.
10/10 humor from the commentary, the bestiary entries and the video parts of the main story AND the commercials on the ship tv.
Gameplay: the platforming is well done, the puzzle solving is challenging and satisfying, combat is definitely secondary but the game does not suffer for it.
A GREAT CO-OP experience if youre like me and like to play games with a SO or friend.

Beat the game in 10 hrs not binging. It was a fantastic game! Very fun, decent story, and the visuals were unique. Only complaint is I wished it was not completed so quickly. Other than that, highly recommend and cant wait to possibly see some dlc in the future maybe a sequel!.

This is cute and relaxing but it doesn't have a great story, It is very short and the graphics, mechanics and UI are only decent. For people who especially like the game, there are collectibles that will allow you to fully explore the maps and test the limits of your equipment and upgrades but you should definitely wait for a sale to pick this up.

I've had this game on my wishlist for a long time and wished I'd picked it up sooner. This game is an absolute blast. In fact I keep coming back to it every moment I have free to game. I just want to unlock that next area or upgrade an item in my suit or find the next secret. I haven't had this much fun in a game in a long time. This game doesn't hand everything to you but it does make you think outside the box. The one thing I do like about it is that the in game A.I. won't let you go to an area if you aren't equipped for it. So that really drives me to find the secrets and resources to get that next piece of equipment to progress. Love the humour as well. Top notch voice acting. Would love to see another space title by these guys.

This game is fun.
A semi open world exploration puzzle platformer with light combat elements and an occasional boss fight.
The world is gorgeous, set up nicely and has plenty of diversity in biomes.
The movement mechanics are fun and easy to use.
The puzzles are light and are often a combination of use of an item + figuring out how to get there.
Progression is fluid in both unlocking areas and getting upgrades.
Exploration is your main goal and the game is a delight for completionists.
Overall very solid and for me, so far, without any bugs or getting stuck in terrain.

Played solo. Not tried co-op yet.

Imagine if Portal made a planet exploration game in collaboration with Idiocracy on acid. That's Journey To The Savage Planet.
It's fun and it's hilarious. It's vibrantly colorful and playfully psychedelic. And to top it off it has a great instrumental blues rock soundtrack with the occasional banjo to go along with the space frontier theme of the game.
This game is criminally underplayed for how well done it is.
You can play as a Lassie dog in a spacesuit... I did!
Total playtime for the main story was around 8 glorious hours.

It's a pretty good game. Not a great game, but good. It does look stunning, and the initial gameplay feels great. The intrigue of the story also helps the game. However, as you progress, combat doesn't really evolve, and some items just replace others due to the new item just doing the same job and either more, better, or both. Exploring does feel a bit tedious near the end due to a lack of map and due to you being able to miss objects to scan and due to some things/places being more obscured. The story also has a few glaring plot holes at the end, once you think about it too hard.

While this may sound a bit harsh, it is, as I said, a good game. As a collectathon it is never too hard, nor feels the combat incredibly frustrating. It's a pretty interesting one-time ride, but there isn't really any replayability apart from speedrunning this game.

I enjoyed this game a lot, I have had my eyes on it since I got to play it at EGX London and speak to a developer there who showed great passion so ideally this stuck out most over the industry dominating titles I was excited for.

Now onto the actual game, it is short and sweet, it doesn't overstay its welcome and has a very rewarding sense of progression. You can just blast through the game collecting the upgrades and move onto the next section but the most fun was returning to previous areas and using my new upgrades to obtain items that was previously unreachable. The game starts out weird yet charming and opens up to a beautiful playground for you to use all what is given to you to your hearts content.

I 100% recommend this game for a casual experience just to kick back and enjoy the gorgeous art style the team have created and you can even bring a friend along for the journey making the experience the more the merrier.

It was an awesome ,fun gameplay which made me sad when I completed the game. Else than saying it was short, it was one of the best 30 hours of my gamelife! It was colorful, had fun puzzles, there was some action but not too much to stress me. It was a worthy purchase,I would recommend it. I don't want to make comparisons but surely you should play it if you played and liked Subnautica's!

one of the most fun, weird and extraterrestrial exploration games to play with a freind!
be warned tho: you will give your life to the endless void of heaven a lot

A very interesting and refreshing game, combination, comic and funny.
The graphics are very nice, despite in a specific style, where we have many filters to choose from, the game engine scales nicely, the game has low requirements. An open world and an interesting plot, many hidden curiosities and collectibles, a basic system of improvements and character development. Comic actors' cutscenes, a new approach to this type of game.
The biggest disadvantage of the game is its length. The models of creatures and the world that is beautiful and interesting deserve praise.

Największą wada gry to jej długość. Na pochwałę zasługują modele stworzeń oraz świat, który jest piękny i ciekawy.

A funny take on space exploration game. Pretty relaxing gameplay which doesnt push nor punish you. Gathering things and solving puzzles among killing poor alien creatures keeps you engaged all the time. Oh, and dont forget to go through in-game commercials on the ship.

Leans into the joke so much there's nothing but the joke. That the game then tries to deliver a plot later via collectible logs is pretty hard to take seriously.

Mechanics are alright but the levels themselves don't feel robust enough to let you enjoy them. A lot of the levels can be skipped in some fashion with uses of earlier mechanics.

Ultimately the game is also over *very* fast and then....well that's it. No ending really, no real conclusion. There's something about this game that's fun on the surface but underwhelming when you get into it.

Firstly, if you're looking for a co-op game: this isn't it. The co-op is very obviously an after thought (which isn't necessarily bad, just... sigh). The host just bounces the other player away. Which, in a platform-heavy game, is a massive PITA.

With that out of the way, the game is really fun. It's that silly comedy, but isn't TOO silly so it never gets to be cringe.

The visuals are really nice, the sound design is great, the acting, both voice and real, is good.

If you want a simple, pretty chill first person game with character progression that feels decently rewarding give it a shot.

really great long objectives for completionists. kinda a shorter story and i'd recommend playing the dlc right when you unlock it in the story if you bought it so you can use the perks you unlock by completing the dlc in the rest of the story.

6.5/10. - Enjoyable, beautifully artistic and well designed yet somewhat boring?

I'd still recommend this game but with the warning that it may become a little boring. I personally felt like it became a bit bland at times and I didn't quite have the energy to push forwards knowing the next area would just be similar to the previous in terms of what to do. I think the concept is great and the game is absolutely stunning but I just felt like it didn't have enough? I'd personally say if you're okay with a more relaxing, chilled out survival then this is perfect. I am all for supporting this game and it's bizarre gamestyle and memes (Yes, memes. It's hilariously cheesy) - I just didn't enjoy myself too much at the time of playing it.

One game I'd like to try again in the future, for sure.

Journey To The Savage Planet is an amazing game. It's fun, colorful and humorous. First thing that captured me when I saw the Journey was the graphics. From enemies to environment everything is colorful. Wherever you go there are vivid colors everywhere. The game plays like any open world survival game. You start weak and powerless; as you explore and find new materials, scan enemies and environment, find collectibles you unlock new upgrades. The game offers hours of fun if you are a collectathon fan. I went out of my way to collect everything before finishing the story. There are story missions. Some of them require you to have certain upgrades. When you meet the requirements, you can continue the story and finish your journey. The soundtrack is catchy, I like it. The writing is humorous and deserves a praise. Especially those ads you see when you are in Javelin. I love those hilarious ads, and it's clear to see that they are made by special love and care. Most of the developers don't put interesting things like these ads in their games. After finishing the story, I started the DLC and fell in love with the game again. DLC's starting area Boomerdale looks beautiful. The beach, the sea, puffer birds in the jungle everything is eye pleasing. DLC is pretty short but at least you get some new upgrades. At the end of the day I loved Journey To The Savage Planet. There are lots of generic and boring open world survival games that I forget everything about it after playing it. But Journey is not one of them. It made a special place in my heart with its visual aesthetic and funny writing.

I'm really in a pickle here, truly I wanted to like this game and to enjoy it with a friend or two, like in the commercials and adverts, and I AM SURE I WOULD ENJOY IT IF IT WOULD RUN FOR ME. But this incident has left a sour taste in my mouth, and it isn't just the dill. I have been a loyal Steam supporter for over a decade now and have never once given EPIC GAMES any money for their cutthroat money grubbing tactics, but if steam is going to fight fire with fire... I will start from now on as I refuse to buy any more from steam after they forced me to keep this even though it does not run for me.
I am one EXTREMELY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER. Steam has refused to refund me twice now, and i have not been able to get past the main menu even, just look at my game time! I desperately desire a refund for this game I cannot play, but VALVE CORP lost so much money on this game with exclusivity, apparently they HAVE to try to rip us off. I am displeased enough to power through this review AGAIN since it cleared my review the two times now instead of submitting [SUS AF] ...

I was enjoying the game up until I had to build the next equipment item. I had gotten an alien alloy that it wanted me to put into the ship. After being confused as to where to shove it into and clicking all over, I found out that I had a common bug where I just couldn't access the 3d printer if i had an alien alloy. Only solution would be to start a new game. And hope it doesn't happen again. That was it for me. It's fun but not replay the beginning portion over and over again until it decides to work fun.

I fairly enjoyed my playthrough of Journey To The Savage Planet. I did a 100% completionist run of the game which makes you experience basically everything the game has to offer. So I've done multiple coop playthroughs and single player playthroughs + I did the entire DLC and everything that had to offer aswell. It's a charming colorful world filled with lots of dark humor. The mechanics are fairly straight forward and the progression system feels satisfying. The game awards exploration a ton which I quite enjoyed. Combat in the game is very simplistic yet also very fun. I don't have much to say about this game. It's like bootleg Subnautica but on land. Both game are amazing, you should pickup both :) 8/10. Oh also this game is coop as I briefly mentioned above! So get your buddy to tryout the game aswell!

Great game, really nicely done with a lot of exploring, progression, returning back to explore unreachable earlier places, fighting, gathering, scanning, crafting upgrades and doing quests.

+ great style, animations, sounds, music, everything;
+ enjoyable combat;
+ a lot of exploring, collecting, gathering;
+ multi-jump;
+ humor and ridiculous ads;
+ boss fights;

- zero replay-ability, no game+ mode either;
- scanning 100% all flora/fauna is impossible alone, game doesn't provide any hints for missing scans;
- slap every creature achievement is poor and buggy (didn't get it, many people have to attempt it multipe-time to complete, sorry but cba);
- coop achievements, it just stupid to not being able to complete all achievements solo, hate it;
- stupid game minus mode (hardcore): game often cause death without obvious reasons, would be hard to complete;
- 4 hours max run achievement: way too long (hour-wise) dedication, 1 hour max something is ok, but game is quite big and has no replay-ability, not fun.

The DLC is short, but quite good, there is never enough of exploring and boss fights. Do it after completing the main game.

Only about 40% through the main game and haven't touched the DLC yet. Keep in mind, that's just in 3 hours of casual play with no guides and just thoroughly exploring.

I agree with many of the other sentiments here; It's a great game and a fun little romp through an alien world, but it just feels like there isn't much there beyond that. While I'm currently hooked, I see this as being one of those titles I beat in 20ish hours, maybe grind out some max upgrades and then I'm good. If you're looking for a weekend thrill with co-op, I say go for it. The potential for hilarious mishaps is high and even my wife and I played together for a bit and had some good laughs.

Good game, but short so far. We'll see how the rest turns out.

Good Wholesome fun.
if your system supports it, it is visually really appealing.
Good story, good humour.
Not usually a fan of platforming, but combat, visuals, storyline and gear progression make it a nice complete package.

Note: Multiplayer Co-OP dc's quite a bit and kicks both players out.

Its a fun game, clearly not for everyone. The coop seems to crash more than it should for a $30 game. On sale its worth it. Has some comedy to it as well. Real easy to be exposed to spoilers. Best to go into the game with as little info as you can. It's hard to write a review and not spoil it. I'll just say this, on sale get it. Try it for 119 minutes, if you don't like it refund it. NEVER pay full price for this one.

Extremely mediocre. Some fun traversal mechanics, but for the most part they're wasted on samey colorful but uninspired environments with bad gunplay and mediocre gameplay otherwise. A bit of slog to get to point a to point b with little in the way of rewarding elements from doing the task to what you get out of it. I typically think about half of borderlands' humor is poor, and this copied all of its notes out of that half of their book, and didn't bother crafting much of a story beyond that. There were fun bits, but mostly it was a disappointment. The best part was playing with a pal, but that only enhances it slightly, and makes it faster to beat.

This game sits right in the middle of good and bad for me. The game is pretty fun right off the bat for the first few hours. I did this co-op with a friend, and I really liked the implementation of that feature a lot; it made the game a lot more enjoyable to me.

Buuuuut this game has a lot of weak points. The humor gets old and gets worse as the game goes on. It's almost as bad as Borderlands at some moments, maybe even a bit worse. A lot of the zones feel monotonous and not fun to explore too, especially at the end. The level design could have definitely used some work. The final area and boss in particular were both unfun and anticlimactic.

We did play the DLC too, and I DO think that was one of the better segments of the game. It still wasn't GREAT, but it was still fun enough.

Overall, this is the okayest game I've played in a while. I feel if I didn't have a friend to play this with, I probably wouldn't have finished it. I have more negative things to say than positive things, but the first few hours of the game ARE fun, and the DLC is good, too. But it kind of sucks that a game that took almost 9 hours to complete with DLC got tedious, when that's sort of short for a game like this.

I generally don't like shootemups or first person shooters, but this game is a full on blast of fun to the face. I can't find any better words to describe every single moment of this game, but fun. It's got fun world building and plot, it's got fun dialogue and voice acting. It's fun kicking engorged pidgeons so they explode or putting them into violent meat grinders, it's fun slingshotting around and multijumping (upgrades you get along the way), it's fun looking for for secrets and it's fun exploring the bright and colorful world, there are so many fun and varied enemies, its puzzles are fun, its platforming is fun, everything is fun!

That was meant to be a short description but became a rant, I'm sorry. The point is that this game looks fun and is even more fun than it looks. I think it's 40% off or something now, but I would recommend it even at full price no problem. If you like fun, that is.

I am always looking for some good cooperative games for my gf and I to casually play together; good co-op games for a couple are difficult to find. The game is good on it's own, but being able to play through it with my gf changed the game from good to fantastic. I highly recommend this to a gaming couple that wants a casual and engaging game with first-person action, exploration, and terrible humor.

This is a very nice action/exploration game.

Pros:
+ Fantastic visual style.
+ Runs bug free.
+ Interesting story.
+ Goofy humour.
+ Decent upgrade tree.
+ Good gameplay.
+ Lots of exploration.
+ Lots of things to do.

Cons:
- Some secrets can involve some pretty annoying jumping.
- Some backtracking.
- Only 1 weapon but it can be upgraded.

I get the other negative reviews. The game is way too short. Don't get e wrong, the game is fun. The problem is that I've put 4 hours in it so far and can tell that I've almost beat the game already. I have most of the upgrades already, which is fine except for the fact that this is the main basis of the game. They force you to upgrade to progress. There's literally nothing else to do in it but collect health upgrades around the map. I am disappointed because I bought this game on sale for $15 and that still doesn't seem worth it. If you want a pretty game that is very short. Go ahead, get it. If not, save your money and buy a different game.

Played this game for about 20 hours at time of this posting, but all I can say it that it's quite fun, and has some replayability. A little easy imo, but the story holds your interest and was also entertaining. It's mostly slapstick/ dumb humor, so if that's your type of thing then you'll most definitely enjoy it. I know I did. Also, the ads in your ship are pretty funny, and very weird. However, I found myself watching them every time a new one came up. Can't wait for MobaMobaMoba Mobile VR v17 GOLDEN FLEECE EDITION to be a real thing. If you have friends, you can play with them as well! Sounds like fun but I haven't had the opportunity to try it out.

Fun silly game with good mechanics and controls. You have to remember to go back and explore again or make notes to return to areas you cannot reach. You gain abilities and skills later that allow you to travel farther and through more terrain.

8/10. A bit short, but very fun. Remember to scan everything, even the hostile creatures trying to kill you! I went through the whole game never upgrading my explorer level. It could have been so much easier! I would call it a comedic 3D platformer.

Journey to the savage planet is such a well conceived game , it has a very simple story and funny with some dark humor but so well achieved and with a great sound track.
It is a walking simulator with a bit of action here and there and some exploration enough not to make the game too tedious or hard , the co-op is a must on this game if you play with a friend this game gets a lot more funnier and enjoyable .
The only negative side that i saw is that Tycoon Studios no longer exists because of Stadia Gaming closure because othe rthen that it is a very enjoyable game , i give this one a 8.5/10 and hopefully we will get a sequel .

Pretty good game. I bought it because I saw a review that said it was like Subnautica but funnier, and while I don't entirely agree, it was still fun. Rarely had to look up anything since most of the game is pretty self-explanatory. My main gripes are the co-op required achievements and crappy DLC, but other than that I recommend it.

This game is for people who enjoy finding collectibles in impossible places - a thinking person's game. The scanner shows an object inside of a plateau, yet you are certain that you have examined every possible crevice.
Nightmare for me, exciting treasure hunt for others.

This game is early access quality.

Fairly early in the game, you're tasked with getting an alien alloy. After getting it, I decided I wanted to take a break, but I wasn't sure how the game handled saving. So I opened the in-game menu and clicked Return to Main Menu. Practically every modern game I can recall playing would offer some warning about what will happen, and ask you to confirm. Journey to the Savage Planet takes you straight back to the menu in one click.

When I resumed playing, I was given some cheeky narration about having died. Apparently returning to main menu is equivalent to committing suicide in this game, and this is never communicated to the player. I needed to go back to where I was on the planet in order to retrieve my stuff, then go back to the ship to use it.

Upon returning to the ship, I was unable to proceed with the main quest. There was nowhere for me to deposit the alien alloy. Looking it up online, this is a game-breaking bug that has existed for at least 10 months. If you obtain the alien alloy and stop playing before depositing it in the ship, your save file is forfeit. The only remedy is to restart.

This game confuses me, pretty much all about it screams genius and still... i uninstalled it because i realized i wasn't having fun. Can't pin it down, find a logical explanation. It clearly lacks an actual map in my opinion, that's one thing, but that can't be all of it. Don't let my review keep you from trying it for yourselves tough, you'll probably like it.

What isn't to like it is great as much action as you can handle easy to control. You can take great selfies when you work out the camera. Best game I have played in some time great work. Highly recommend for all players you want regret it.

its been like days sense ive gave a review about this game, but i like this game its a pretty space adventure! but it does for a fair warning involve a lot of climbing so be warned about it. but i like the landscapes they are pretty! and my favorite thing was the blue flying butterfly things around those trees, it also took me a little research and i ran around in circles in this game though to figure this stuff out, i have not beaten it yet. but i plan on it though but i just got tired of dealing with all of the climbing clutter,

I love this world that the game plops you in. So much to see and discover and this game rewards your curiosity in spades! I also love this...Borderlands/Outer Worlds vibe it has with it, in the way that companies in this game are displayed as questionable at best xD. Totally recommend this gem 100%!
