We're happy to tell you that we listened closely to your comments on our game and addressing several requested changes and improvements with an update tomorrow. Primarily we have adjusted the randomness of base hit chance and added primary defense, now you will always be able to hit or defend if you are in the correct state at the right time, making player skill and specific counter skills more important to winning.
The game will be in maintenance from 11:30AM CET for about 2 hrs after which you will be able to resume playing.
Changes:
- Simplified gladiator attributes, you now invest into Attack and Defense
- Hit chance for all gladiators increased to 100% and removed from the attributes improvement (can still be debuffed by enemy skills)
- Added primary defense to each gladiator class also equal 100% (Block for Murmillo, Dodge for Retiarius, Block for Hopplomachus and Parry for Thraex) and removed from attributes improvement (can still be debuffed by enemy skills)
- All gladiators secondary defenses have been adjusted depending on class and level
- Removed some less attractive skills from the game and replaced them with new ones that work with the new primary defense.
- Defending against a virtus attack now grants 0.5 Virtus Points to the attacker, to prevent turtling (permanent defense)
- Counter attack is now also possible after a successful block
- Magisters that previously increased hit chance now increase mastery instead
- Consumables that previously increased hit chance now increase mastery instead
- Reduced damage gain from consumables by half
- Sidestep cost increased to 4 endurance to reduce OP on side stepping
- Increased difficultly slightly to successfully sidestep skills by narrowing the timing window
- Removed hit chance and primary defense from equipment for each class and replaced it with with other attributes depending on the class and item
- Added warning popups before going into battle with a gladiator in less then ideal condition (not fully healed, skills points not spend, AP not spend)
