Developed by Pixelian Studio from Korea, Critadel is a brand-new futuristic 2D platform/shooter game with roguelike concepts and procedurally generated levels. It's a very unique experience, compared to other 2D roguelikes, and here are some of the reasons why:
3 Unique Playable Characters
-<There are three distinctive playable characters in Critadel, each with specialized skillsets, different starting weapons and unique abilities. You'll have to modify your approach depending on which one you choose and which of their skills you equip. Whenever you want to change it up and try to attack the game a different way, just choose a different character with a different loadout and see if they're a better match for your playing style.
Branching Paths
The ultimate goal of Critadel is to find out what secret is hidden at the top of the tower. As you progress toward the top, you will encounter these branching paths every time you move to the next room. Each run can be very different, with new areas, new enemies and new bosses coming at you every time. The choice is yours, but remember: Once you select a path, you won’t be able to turn back!
Weapons, Attachments and Artifacts
Ah, yes! A game like Critadel depends on powerful pew-pews, lots of crazy explosions and some mysterious buffs/nerfs. There are 200+ weapons, 50+ attachments and 300+ artifacts to discover, and each one has unique characteristics. With luck and skill, you might discover the perfect weapon/attachment/artifact combo that will destroy anything in your path, regardless of how strong the enemies are.
Synergy
The powerful items are all good, but you may want to plan what you'll carry throughout your run to make your character even stronger with Synergy effects. By meeting certain conditions and item combos, you'll be able to utilize powerful synergies with effects like increased firing rates and damage multipliers!
