Was die Auswahl an Admin Tools betrifft, können sich Inhaber von Call of Duty Servern zur Zeit ja nicht beschweren. Nun ist ein weiterer Kandidat aufgetaucht, um euch das harte Leben am Steuerpult zu erleichtern. Neben Call of Duty 4 unterstützt das COD RconTool auch alle anderen Vorgänger der Shooter-Reihe, die ebenfalls zur Pflicht rufen. Ob Ihr damit Eure Server eventuell noch besser verwalten und steuern könnt, dürfte sich wohl nur durch ausgiebiges testen herausfinden lassen. 1. Profiles [ top ]
With the profiles you can enter information for a specific server and choose it with one simple click.
This profiles are needed for connecting to a server.
1.1. Choose Profile [ top ]
The screen Server Profiles appears, here can you choose, add and edit profiles for your servers.
To choose a profile, select one from the list and click the OK button.
1.2. Add a server [ top ]
Click on the Add button on the right side of the window.
In the appearing window you have to fill in all fields.
-Profile name (here you enter the name of the profile).
-IP (enter the IP of the server you want connect to).
-Port (enter the Port of the server you want connect to).
-Rcon (enter the Rcon password of the game server you want to connect to).
-Name (enter a name (this will be shown when you use the Server chat)).
When you're done click on OK. The server appears in the list. Now you can select it.
1.3. Edit a server [ top ]
First select a server in the list.
Click on the Edit button on the right side of the window.
Now you can edit the selected profile.
-Profile name (here you enter the name of the profile).
-IP (here you enter the IP of the server you want connect to).
-Port (here you enter the Port of the server you want connect to).
-Rcon (here you enter the Rcon password of the game server you want to connect to).
-Name (here you enter you (nick) name (this will be shown when you use the Say option)).
When you're done click on OK. The profile data is changed now.
1.4. Delete a server [ top ]
First select a server in the list.
Click on the Delete button on the right side of the window.
The server will be deleted immediately from the list.
2. Main screen [ top ]
This is the central field/window of CoD RT. From this screen you can go to all the functions CoD RT has by clicking on the buttons or choosing the functions from the pulldown menu's on top of CoD RT (File, Server, etc).
2.1. Connecting to server [ top ]
If you made a profile, click the Connect button to connect to the server. Wait a few seconds before it is connected.
When you didnt make a profile, enter the ip in the Host IP textbox, the port in the Port textbox, the rconpassword in the Rconpassword textbox and your name in the Name textbox.
If you did that right, click on the Connect button.
2.2. Console [ top ]
The console shows messages from the server. In the textbox under the console you can enter commands manually to the server by typing the command and pressing the Enter button on your keyboard.
2.3. Auto-PB screenshots [ top ]
The Auto-PB screenshots function requests punkbuster screenshots from every player on the server on a random given time.
-Refresh, type the seconds when CoD RT has to request screenshots.
For example: 300, now the server requests every 300 seconds screenshots of every player on the server.
WARNING: not all screenshots of every player will be received on the server.
2.4. Server chat [ top ]
With Server chat you can send messages to players on the server.
Enter your name in the Name textbox and type your message in the textbox under the Name textbox. To send the message press the Enter button on your keyboard or click on the Send message button.
To add a playername to the message, click on the Load player list button, select the name and click on the Add button.
2.5. Options [ top ]
-General, here are all the main functions located like Killcam, Friendlyfire, Free spectate, Servername, etc.
-Maps, use this button to switch to another map.
-Gametype, switch to another gametype and set up the gametypes.
-Weapons, here you can set up the weapons on the server.
-Other options, here are all the advanced options located like Deadchat, Console chat, etc.
-Playerlist, behind this button you find a dialog with the playerlist, from here you can kick/ban people.
-CoD2, all the other Call of Duty 2 options are here located.
-PunkBuster CoD/UO/CoD2, here are all the Punkbuster options located for CoD, UO and CoD2.
-Restart map, click this button to restart the map.
-Fast restart, for a fast restart in Call of Duty 2 click on this button.
-PB Screenshot, hit this button to take one manual Punkbuster screenshot from all the players on the server.
-War config, here you can set up the server for a war.
-System Info, by clicking this button you get information about the serversystem.
-Server Info, by clicking this button you get information about the gameserver.
-Status, when you hit this button, the playerlist and current map will be shown in the console.
