Marco Massarutto (Mitbegründer und Executive Producer) der Rennsimulation Assetto Corsa ließ in einem Blog-Beitrag verlauten, auf was sich die Fans in diesem Jahr freuen können. Unter anderem folgt das Boxenstopp-Feature für den Einzelspieler-Modus, Feintuning für alle Fahrzeuge, sowie nun auch eine neue Rennstrecke mit Lizenz. Dabei handelt es sich um den Red Bull Ring. Ältere Generationen werden diese Strecke noch als den A1 Ring kennen. Des weiteren arbeitet man an der historischen Version von Silverstone, zwei weitere Monza-Varianten und einer generellen Überarbeitung aller Strecken. Im weiteren Verlauf des Jahres schließt Marco nicht aus, das noch weitere lizenzierte Strecken hinzu kommen werden. Außerdem bestätigte Marco noch, das man bereits an rund 42 neuen Boliden arbeite. Fahrzeuge von Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Nissan (GT-R 34 Skyline, 350Z Nismo 2015), Toyota (Celica, Supra, AE86, TS040 Hybrid), McLaren (570LS, P1 GTR), Audi (R8 Ultra 2016, R18 E-Tron, TT VLN 2014, TT CUP 2015, A1 S1, Sport Quattro S1 E2, TT 2015), der Praga R1R und Formel-1-Rennwagen aus den 50er-Jahren sind angedacht.
