Puh, ist Competitive gesehen der beste Sim Racer,macht ultra viel spaß aber leider gibts auch hier viele Idioten die einen in Runde eins weghämmern, gekickt werden und dann wiederkommen.

Nach 30 Minuten entnervt aufgegeben - ein absolut unübersichtliches (und extrem hässliches) Menü hat mich erfolgreich vergrault. Das Einrichten des Lenkrades gerät zur Höllentortur. Nein, Danke. Ich spiele um zu entspannen, nicht um Schwerstarbeit zu leisten.

Ac bietet Anfängern und Profis viel Spielspaß. Durch die riesen Moddingcommuntiy, den Custom Shader Patch, Content Manager und eine unzählbare Menge an zusätzlichen Autos, Strecken und anderen tollen Dingen, die man unter anderem bei Racedepartment bekommt, ist das Spiel trotz seines Alters immer noch ein Hingucker und die Physik und der Spaß lassen keine Wünsche offen.

Asetto Corsa is a really cool simulation. Everyone who likes to drive on different types of tracks in different types of cars is here at the pefect place. In my opinion it is one of the best simulation. And the best thing is that you can change your car that you drives a car which is completly different if you are tired of driving one car. I don't have driven a car yet but it feels correct for me when I drive with my thrustmaster T150.

Das Spiel ist meiner Meinung nach die beste Rennsimulation die man aktuell bekommen kann. Natürlich ist das Spiel nicht perfekt, aber es bietet den meisten Umfang (Basegame, DLC aber auch dank Mods). Ich liste kurz die Vor und Nachteile auf um euch die Kaufentscheidung zu erleichtern:

Vorteile:
-großartige Fahrphysik
-Modfreundlichkeit
-Es gibt viele Ligen und Sim Racing Serien, die AC als Basis nutzen, man kann hiermit also überall mitfahren (bsp. SimRacingSystem und WorldSimSeries)
-fürs Alter und die Tatsache, dass es ein Simulator ist, anständige Grafik (lässt sich durch mods noch aufpolieren)
-Sandbox-Charakter, frei anpassbares HUD, umfangreiche und realistische Fahrzeug-Setup-Optionen

Nachteile:
-Basegame hat kein Wetter und keinen Tag Nacht Zyklus. Lässt sich aber durch Mods mehr oder weniger gut hinzufügen.
-die KI ist leider nicht wirklich brauchbar, daher für Spieler die Single Player Racing suchen eher nicht geeignet. (Besser für Hotlapping, experimentieren und online)

Ich empfehle euch die Ultimate Edition zu holen, da habt ihr alle DLCs dabei. Der Content den ihr dadurch habt ist wirklich ordentlich und bietet Rennspass für viele Stunden, wenn es dann doch langweilig wird stehen tausende von Mods zur Verfügung, teilweise mit Qualität so gut wie die Original Fahrzeuge und Strecken. Als must have Mod möchte ich euch noch den Content Manager empfehlen der den Launcher komplett ersetzt und viele, viele Möglichkeiten zur Personalisierung bietet.

Wer Bock auf einen guten Rennsimulator hat macht hier nix verkehrt.

grafik ist super aber die lenkung viel zu schwammig und ungenau, bessere lenkung hat z.b. forza oder gran turismo, es kann nicht sein das ich beim runter bremsen nicht lenken kann oder ich tippe nur kurz nach links oder rechts und der wagen macht gleich ein riesen schwenker, wär ie lenkung besser dann wäre es eins der besseren rennspiele für pc, momentan finde ich persönlich kommt kein spiel an der forza reihe für pc ran, wenn gran turismo für pc wäre könnten alle anderen einpacken.

Der Schwierigkeitsgrad ist enorm hoch. Das Fahrgefühl ist enorm gut. Die einzelnen Fahrzeuge unterschieden sich spürbar. Ich fliege bei vollem Realismus in fast jeder Runde von der Strecke und raffe nichts in dem Game. Trotzdem ein super Spiel!

Great Game! Best Physics and Tire Model I know. Would recommend it to new players because of the big variety of cars and tracks. The only thing wrong with this game is the online mode. There are plenty of good servers on there, like the Tourist Nordschleife Trackdays for example. But competitive racing is pretty bad. My experienc was not that good because there are many people who either dont know how to drive, or are just straight up trolls. Its a pity because this game has HUGE online potential.

Assetto Corsa is an outstanding driving simulation for racing enthusiasts.
The value here was placed on realistic vehicle representation and physics, frills were generally avoided, so there is not even a main menu music.

I have a lot of fun finding the right vehicle setup for the countless challenges, so I can recommend it, but without some background knowledge on race car setups, the game can be a bit frustrating as even the bronze medal isn't easy to achieve.

Honestly, for a 5€ game that is 7yo, it looks incredible how the whole mod community just carried al the game's quality. The base game doesn't realy show a lot of interesting stuff. However the mods add a lot of graphics upgrades that make this game beautiful (some mods even bring the GPS to life with an Android OS TO DISPLAY YT VIDEOS ON A CAR!!!). The physics of the game are moreover really nice since this is a sim game (even for me who only played on arcade caf games before, you quickly get the habitude of it, and I recommend getting a wheel for it). Only disappointing thing is the difficult access to the servers, but otherwise, really nice to play.

If you are thinking of buying this game/simulator.

First, Get the Ultimate Edition. If you don’t have the money, Wishlisted it and wait for Steam sale which discount the game by a lot. Don’t be like me and had to buy every single DLC separately.
Secondly, Assetto Corsa might not be fun, particularly for the casual player. Please understand that this game has a learning curve which is explain below. If you are a car guy/girl who play racing game, please still read this.

Assetto Corsa is a racing simulator that in aim to recreate real life driving as close as possible. This means that all the steering and driving input using any type of input whether it’s on a Racing Wheel, Game Controller analog stick, mouse using mouse steer or keyboard (which is not recommend, please do not try playing with a keyboard) is controlling the steering wheel of the car not the car itself. So, precision controlling the steering is a must to be able to play this game/simulator. The player can turn the steering wheel too much or the car won’t turn (this is call understeer). Therefore, it’s not recommend playing with a keyboard because keyboard input is not precise enough and will turn the steering wheel all the way. At the very least use mouse to steer (there is an option in the setting) might be hard at first but if you do have any other controller. For game controller user, Same apply to you just don’t push the analog stick too far and you will be good.

If you understand this, with a lot of practice, you will have enjoyable time with this game/simulator. This game/simulator is launcher base meaning if you press start to start driving in game but to change any setting you need to do most of it is in the launcher. Which to be honest, the launcher UI is pretty bad. Assetto Corsa have no story. The game is started with the launcher which give access to so Career mode, Quick Play mode, Practice, Online etc. Career mode is for gathering medals for completing races or time trials on set tracks with set cars of someone look of a goal to play toward or go play Assetto Corsa Compettizone but the main part of this game is about driving the car so I would suggest playing the Practice for the driving experience. I’m not sure that for casual player Assetto Corsa is fun but if you can drive fast in this game/simulator it will made you a better driver. If the content is this game is not enough for you. You haven’t seen the Mods for Assetto Corsa. This game got a lot of support from the community. First of all, Content Manager which have lot of improvement to the game including the UI and is a platform for Custom Shader Patch graphic mods which is highly recommended and other mods to install into your game. For more information, YouTube, Discord Channel, Google and forum is your friend.

So in short, Yes, Assetto Corsa one of the most realistic racing game of all time. If you learn to play and practice this game/simulator and love to drive cars this game is for you. Just be prepare to spin out on the very first corner (or every corner) and deal with the UI. Go and experience it for yourself.

Seriously consider IF you want to become a BETTER driver because this sim WILL make you a better driver!!!! There are so many GREAT cars & tracks included not to mention ALL the ADDED and created MODS for Assetto Corsa. The main MOD to start with is the ..... Content manager it not only makes it so easy to add cars and tracks with one click of the mouse it also adds in several GRAPHIC MODS which only adds in MORE REALISM it's UNBELIEVABLE how great it looks !!! I am NOT getting paid to write this review I am just a REAL WORLD PROFESSIONAL DRIVER who has also been Sim-Racing for 25+ years and I can ONLY say I am COMPLETELY IMPRESSED with this Sim from start to finish. I only wish I had purchased it & installed sooner. There are many DLC's which I have and they are worth the purchase price ,but it is nice to catch them on a BIG SALE EVENT...... This Sim compares right up to iRacing which I had for a while ,but I got tired of paying for EVERY MONTH, EVERY CAR & EVERY TRACK that you NEED to ADD to race in a season or with your friends......and it's hard enough to get your safety rating racing with REAL people in iRacing esp. when a kid thinks YOU wrecked them on purpose and then they are out for you for the rest of the race and they don't quit till THEY wreck YOU back !!!!

Enough of the iRacing rant ALL Sims have positive & negative points to them whatever they may be,but as for Assetto Corsa I have found MORE positive than negative. So go get one of the TOP 5 BEST EVER Racing Sims created and get started on your Sim Racing Career....which there is that plus Track Day,Single Race Day ,Time Attack Drifting........there are just soooo many choices it's awesome make it as REAL as you want or make it as EASY as you want you choose....Oh and not to mention The Assetto Corsa Competitizone is the next jump that has all the goodies but not as many MODS.....YET !!!!! Give it time it WILL be there in the near future as well....This is just SOME of HOW I feel....experience it for yourself !!!!!!

BUY THE ULTIMATE PACK. If you dont, you cant get all the car mods later and you will waste money. Instead of paying a total of 70 bucks you just pay 40. Did the same mistake..... Trust me pls.. Alot of the mods are based on the DLC packs.

▶️Introduction

Assetto Corsa is a sim racing game. A sim racer is a racing game that tries as much as possible to mimic real-life physics and immersion as far as driving goes. The game was first released through the Steam Early Access system back in late 2013 or early 2014. After seven years we can take a look and see what Assetto Corsa has achieved.

????Gameplay

As mentioned beforehand, AC (Assetto Corsa) is a hardcore sim racer attempting to offer a very realistic driving experience with a multitude of real-life and famous tracks other than race or road cars. For starters: the title should be played with a Force Feedback wheel, using twhich will give you the entire experience that you would expect. Tyre deformation, oversteer, understeer, and all of these motorsport intricacies can easily be felt using the FFB wheel. Feeling the wheel fighting against your input while taking a fast corner is truly a great experience not only for motorsport fans but regular people as well. The AI isn’t the greatest by today’s standards. Inconsistency is a small issue as sometimes the opponents decide to ram you off the track and other times they will barely put up a fight.

Using a controller is not the end of the world, but I would be against it. Doing so will only give you visual or vibration feedback which just bottlenecks your ability to put up a decent racing pace. Nonetheless, using a gamepad will not destroy your experience as AC is one of the most forgiving and manageable simulations that I have played to this day. Traction control, ABS (Anti-Lock Brakes), and stability controls are also available in the settings/setup of the vehicles.

The singleplayer experience is also entertaining. You can play career mode, which puts you in a specific situation. For example, you're in a race and you need to set up a hot-lap on a full track. You will progressively get the feeling that you’re getting better as you’re migrating from weak Front-Wheel Drive cars, that like to understeer, to powerful Rear-Wheel Drive ones that get playful every time you press on the gas pedal. The entire career section reminds me of the infamous Gran Turismo licenses. The Gran Turismo licenses being a very well-known part of the series. You are being put up against a variety of tasks in order to claim your next license. The license could be used to take part for the next race.
The multiplayer portion of the game consists of the usual server browsing, and filtering your preferred tracks and vehicles. The game has a rather mature community, and rammers aren’t as common as in other games. The servers are rarely having any type of connection issue, and most of them are nicely moderated with solid rules and guides.

Content is a huge aspect of these types of titles. AC by default, and including all of the DLCs, is a rich experience, but the modding community is the MVP here. You can completely transform the game, with new vehicles, tracks, lighting, textures, HUDs and so much more. I would recommend getting the Content Manager for Assetto Corsa as well.

Assetto Corsa uses a custom-built game engine.

Graphics

Visually, AC isn’t impressive at all compared to its gameplay section. Lighting is rather bland and sometimes even annoying as it blinds you on multiple occasions, oversaturation is a common thing with colours in it, textures do look sharp and smooth, but the general environment leaves a lot to be desired compared to the competitors. Vehicle interiors are fantastic, each car is modeled after its real-life counterpart, not only visually but also in practice included. The HUD is clean, you can completely customize it to your liking, the graphs are minimalistic yet informative at the same time.

Animations in the interior are smooth, and each movement the driver does is correctly executed. The outer animations are slightly weird. Driving in the chase camera will probably cause you nausea,as the car behaves like a fridge on wheels, visually speaking of course. You can play around with the FOV and angle settings, but that is a lot of work for something so simple.

Audio / Soundtrack

Engine sounds in Assetto Corsa aren’t the best. Compared to its competitors, most of the sounds are muffled and barely give off any grunt, even if it’s a race car. The game doesn’t offer a soundtrack other than the theme song playing whenever you start up the game. Relaxing and calming instrumentals, but that’s about it.

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 32GB Ram, Nvidia RTX 2070S:

The game was running with Max Settings at 1080p resolution while mostly hitting 144fps. (V-Sync)

Issues & additional stuff

In around 70 hours of sliding in turns, I experienced no issues whatsoever. Everything was working smoothly. The only real “issues” I had were with unofficial mods.

Compatibility with FFB wheels is nearly flawless as well.
Thrustmaster T150 Pro worked since day one with some minimal tweaking by me. I was able to improve my experience even further.

Fanatec CSL DD + G29 Shifter with a USB adapter worked flawlessly as well. Direct Drive wheels feel even better than the regular Belt drive ones.

Xbox One Mk2 Controller worked well enough after a lot of personal tweaking which should be expected.

⚖️Conclusion

Assetto Corsa is the dream of every motorsport fan. The mod support this game gets, even to this day, is easily a major selling point excluding the excellent driving experience and the great multiplayer mode this game offers. I can easily recommend it to anyone that likes a good challenge and is a fan of racing.

shutoko revival project community mod is the sole reason i came here and what got me into this game, and here i am..

it's absolutely beautiful, getting into random convoys, racing or cruising at midnight in your own jdms till you pass out, hearing each other's engines roar right outside of your view as all of you accelerate for 300km/h, only to get slammed by one of your convoy mates which ends up ruining the pack

but that's what makes it fun, i'm talking endless possibilities

i definitely recommend this mod for anyone new to the game, especially for those jdm nerds and anyone out there who'd wish to live the wangan dream without having to visit tokyo, doing it right here, in your own home

though, handling might be a bit tough to handle in this game, beware

Assetto Corsa is a game that I would strongly recommend. You could sink probably a thousand hours or more into this game. With the addition of content manager and some mods, the game looks very good despite being 8 years old.

The physics are very realistic, and it takes a while to figure out your car's limits. It also allows for VR support and wheel, which adds even more to the experience. I have only scratched the surface on this game, but I would recommend it.

Played in VR and it is extremely immersive. Crashed at 300+km, got whiplash, and went into shock. Woke up three weeks later from a coma with my kidneys gone? Anyway 10/10 great game.

Literally the best racing game, nothing even comes close. Need a good PC to get the full experience with the mods. Not very demanding either, seems to be mostly CPU intensive. Very dry game unmodded.

This isn't your everyday racing game, this is one realistic racing sim
Need quite some practice to handle the car let alone race
There are a lot of cars and mods to enjoy
Gaming/racing wheel is highly recommend

U want a honest review?

First let me start by saying i have played this sim/racing game on another account that i completely forgot about that has 1500hrs on it easily, sooo yea i have 4000hrs in this and yes i have played this since it first came out(i have time to kill im retired basically).

Lets talk about stock AC (Assetto Corsa) by today's standards, mind you this sim is almost 8yrs old

8/10
-Plenty of cars and tracks to choose from so u can have fun at a nice price, goes on sell quite often (after you have setup your wheel and pedals properly or with controller or keyboard, AND get your FOV dialed in)

-U can get good/great fps even on a somewhat dated pc until u decide to do something crazy like race on the Nordschleife with every ai u can possibly fit or try VR

-Graphics, well its age shows right there :whooze:

-Physics, does just fine though some cars do feel extremely glued to the road or have broken aerodynamics or just drive like bricks ( so if u think ur going to just get in a Mclaren P1 and do some drifts like u seen on a few yt videos... well best of luck), but hey nothing is perfect especially something this old still does better than games like gts or pc2-3 imo

Now for the modded version of AC

MY GOD the modded community has done a number on this sim and for the better

10/10 ( if i get the right content )
-Between SOL(weather update), CSP (Custom Shaders Patch), CM (Content Manger), PPF (PostProcessingFilters) this sim looks like it belongs in a game trailer from this year, dont believe me? Just go inside the Screenshot channels of a DECENT AC discord server and look.

-There (i cant express this enough) are good and great mods and then there are bad and terrible mods be it tracks or cars etc, im not going to get into detail about because it would take forever to explain but to put it as short as possible there are some mods that look and drive worse than stock AC and there are mods that are just so much fun and everything feels natural u can get lost in this sim for hrs and hrs, just ask around in a DECENT AC discord server or go to RaceDepartment

Yes i would recommend this sim to anyone that has a love/ passion for cars but try not get too involved with the some of community, odds are you'll end up in argument with kids or adults who should honestly get off and get a job.

A simracer dream.
An achievement hunter nightmare.

Simulation in this game is top notch. Modding support at its best. The amount of playtime this game offers is out of this world.

The game cost me, what, $30? I've heard people can get it for less.

With Content Manager, Custom Shader Patch (they're together, now), Assetto Corsa is a must-have.

All the free mods? I have nearly 800 unique cars. Have a favourite car? What was your high-school car? I probably have both of those cars, and I can race them anywhere in the world.

All for what, maybe $30?

If you have a sim wheel, you like cars, fairly good physics, great graphics, endless content that is mostly free?

Absolutely get AC.

I use this with a lowly Logitech G25 force feedback racing wheel.

As someone who got hooked on Inital D, and then wanted an outlet to do touge racing this is definitely the game for me. In my 150 H of playing this (as of writing) i've mainly spent it drifting and racing down mountains with my G902 wheel. I have a simple simrig going and given these parameters Id recommend this game fully. I'd say to get your full enjoyment out this game you definitely need a wheel (at least a G902 or equivalent with FFB) and the modloader called Content Manager. Its really easy to set up with a google search.

That all being said, this game and initial D are both equally responsible for making me care about cars when I never had before. Its a new hobby i gained from this game and I feel like you either like it or you wont. Setting hotlaps are fun on their own but find your niche in the game, and absolutely join online lobbies.

This game is an amazing experience and i expect this will be one of the few games at the top of my most played list on steam.

Assetto Corsa has been a key component in keeping the sim racing community active throughout the last 7 years. Although similar games within the genre may have been more appealing and user-friendly compared to Assetto. This has to be the finest sim racer I've ever laid my hands on. Transitioning from the earlier days of Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport franchise. Assetto Corsa is one of the MOST community based sim racer on the market. By default, the vanilla version of the game contains a strong variety of vehicles and tracks for everyone to dabble in. Whether you're an open wheeler king, a GT class master, or a street car specialist. The provided contents will have those who loves cars, but don't have nearly enough money to own them in real life have a time of their lives. If you came from the days of modding rFactor, then this game has taken that aspect to a whole new level. Being the strong foundation the physics engine provides. There is unknown quantities of modded contents out there that are available for download. If you wanna drive around Monza with a Ford Transit? Go for it! If you wanna hot-lap Laguna Seca in a double decker bus? I'm sure someone crazy enough has made the mod for you to do so. The quality of the mods can vary depending on who it's made by, but popular cars and tracks should be at least 70% true to its real life counterpart.

Being a video game it will always have flaws. The game itself almost been 7 years old is starting to show its sign in the visual department. When it was first released, it did not provide the high end graphical fidelity as Forza and Gran Turismo of its time. The UI design is very backwards and doesn't provide much excitement to the average racing game enthusiast. The sounds in the game were OK but weren't the best. Day night cycle and weathers were not a feature that was implemented, which have made ways into similar games of the genre. If you were beginner into sim racing then it was certainly not easy to setup, as the game is not very gamepad or keyboard friendly. I must admit it took me a while to setup my wheel to how I want it to feel.

Having said all of that. A sim racing connoisseur like me has found no other games that is quite like AC on PC. With CSP, Sol and Content Manager installed. I have the option to go from the foggy morning track day at the Nordschleife to the sunny drift matsuri at Ebisu, finishing off the day with midnight high speed trials at Wangan. There is nothing more to say but a definite recommendation to those who owns a steering wheel and a powerful enough computer to run this

Really nice game, but it's better to play it on the steering wheel than on the pad or keyboard, because it's a typical simulator, so the cars drive slightly differently.

Assetto Corsa is basically a pure perfection. It is one of the best racing games/simulators ever made.

You see, I am a casual gamer. I play racing games with a gamepad, and with all assists on. And despite the fact that Assetto Corsa is labelled as a hardcore driving simulator, in reality, this is an extremely accessible game, even for fans of arcade racing games like me.

If you like playing racing games, do yourself a favor and buy Assetto Corsa. Don't bother with that abomination called Project CARS. I had extremely high hopes for Project CARS series. It seemed that these games had everything - beautiful graphics, amazing sounds, plenty of tracks and cars to drive... But to my disappointment, cars and handling in Project CARS games are utter garbage. Physics are a complete joke. Every second car spins out when exiting from the corner, and playing these games with the gamepad is impossible. Not to mention super toxic online community, and tons of fanboys who defend pCARS despite its horrible flaws.

Assetto Corsa doesn't have these problems. Physics in this game are perfect. I can complete a lap on Monza with Lamborghini Huracan GT3 or F1 car without ever spinning out when exiting a corner. Cars have weight. They don't feel floaty. They also have grip, as well as responsive brakes, and overall behavior.

Assetto Corsa is basically Gran Turismo for PC. Although the game features somewhat outdated graphics, if you install community-made mods, such as CSP, Sol and Horizon, the Assetto Corsa will look better than any other racing gaming currently available on the market.

And I didn't even mention mods. My God, this game has thousands of mods! You can mod everything. Everything! You can mod graphics, weather, install new cars, install new tracks, add new liveries, add custom apps, create new championships, drive on free roam maps... You can even install HUD from Initial D, and drift on Akagi mountain roads with Toyota AE86!

Overall, the Assetto Corsa is still a truly amazing game, despite the fact that it's seven years old. It features tons of content, and is super accessible both for arcade racing drivers, as well as for sim racing drivers. The Assetto Corsa Competizione is the best GT3 racing game ever made. However, the Assetto Corsa is currently a more feature-rich game thanks to the amazing community which supports it. I think the future of this series is bright, especially since it's able to offer an incredible driving experience, even if you are a complete racing noob like me.

Quite impressive gameplay for a 7 years old game. The thing I like about assetto corsa is the community, there are thousands of good mods for free. And it just simply makes my day. Some of the mods are paid too. Like RSS and VRC modding team. Highly recommend.

i recently picked up the logitech g29 because i had recently gotten back into dirt rally and wanted to spice up my game play. it was really fun, but i knew that after a while id just have a $250 wheel sitting around doing nothing because one can only drive the same few rally stages over and over before getting bored. i then decided to grab assetto corsa because i knew that it had amazing wheel support. upon first loading up the game, i very surprised at just how much of an understatement that was. the force feedback was INSANELY GOOD. it was night and day difference between the quality of dirty rally 2.0 and Assetto Corsa. you could feel everything and tell what it was you were feeling, all the way from a small bump in the road, to the lack of power steering in older cars. i spent the entirety of yesterday just playing with cars and different maps in practice mode alone and never once did i regret my decision to purchase the wheel, or the game. one things for sure, im getting a lot, and i mean A LOT MORE use out of this wheel and this game will likely see many hundreds of hours by the end of the year. if you have a sim racing wheel and are looking for a game to play, THIS IS THAT GAME.

At the time i bought this game I had to choose between Assetto Corsa and Project Cars 1. I'll never regret this decision as long as I live. It's my favourite sim game for by now.

This game has everything you'll ever need. Good physics, awesome cars and tracks and you can mod the s**t out of it. What can I say more other than I just love it ????

I absolutely love this game. If you're into drifting this is the game for you. The mod community is amazing! No need to buy the car packs unless you plan on doing the racing career. The base game is all you need for your drifting fix!

Perfect sim game for drifting, cruising, and racing, and the modding community is talented as f@ck........the best sim game on PC right now even after so many years, the physics and the sound is the most realistic out of any other sim games out there...If I recommend this game to anyone then you should buy this game on PC rather than in console because PC has a great modding community and also play it with steering or mouse steering (controller and keyboard alone is bad trust me it feels like an arcade game even after messing around with settings for my controller). You need to download (CM) Content Manager for all these mods, this software has a lot of customizing involves, it is the best launcher for Assetto Corsa and it has online servers to drift or cruise around with ur buddies.

Have a Race wheel? Have an old PC? Well look no further than AC! It will literally run on a Potato!

Thinking of trying VR? Not sure if your PC can handle it? This game will run smooth even below minimum specs!

Specs: AMD FX6100 (you heard me) GTX670 2GB (did i stutter?) 16gb Ram etc etc etc

VR: Oculus Rift CV1 w/ touch

Settings: Literally runs nice on med/high in VR, aslong as the playercount stays below about 20 cars online, and it runs smooth.... oh you need a decent motherboard with usb3 (atleast 2) and you're good to go

After 400+ hours in the game its time for a short review.
This racing simulator is a must have for everybody who enjoys racing on the pc.
I call it the swiss army knife of racing sims. This sim together with racedepartment.com will allow you to race almost anything on almost any track you can think of, the modding community is still very active and amazing.
Pair this sim with crewchief and content manager, throw in SimHub for an extra dashboard or transducer and you will have a great time. Also, please give the creators of these great tools/additions a few bucks for their troubles.
Next use content manager to download the shaders patch and bring the sim into 2020 looking pretty close to some modern sims.
Load up this sim with the BMW E30 (dtm spec) on Mugello and race that against 20x 100% AI for 12 laps with a good pedal set and ffb wheel and if you can honest tell me that didn't tickle your racing fancy I would be amazed.

It's one of the best simulator racing games in my opinion. It's got all the simulator stuff you want so I won't get into that, instead imma focus on the biggest + in this game. It's mods. You can download cars and tracks, and there is literally no limit. You can drive on pretty much any racetrack, but there are also mountain roads wich are a blast with friends. And some of the car mods are so on point you couldn't tell they weren't intended to be in the game. The menu is kinda meh, but you can always download content manager wich is very nais. B u y video game if you have wheel. B)

What a MASTERPIECE! I wasn't into SIM Racing - as I do car & motorcycle racing IRL, so this was not very attractive to me. Due to the home lockdown and postponing of the racing season, I thought to give it a try. OH MY GOD!

Graphics aside - everything that you can think of has been implemented properly. I can only imagine playing with a VR + a rig would very much replicate real driving. It's extremely helpful to understand basic racing mechanics, weight transfer, brake bias, suspension travel & its effects, tyres, grip, temperatures, pressures, overheating, racing setup: camber, caster, toe. Everything has been perfectly implemented with real effects, just like you would tune a proper race car.

Would I recommend this game to other players? ABSOLUTELY. Only if you are interested into SIM Racing. If you are looking for an arcadish racing game, this IS NOT FOR YOU.

As of 2020, it,s beginning to show its age. Clunky UI, rudimentary graphics and terrible optimization still can't kill this gem of a game.

It did VR before it was cool (which the F1 series still can't do), it's been modded to death, and it has the fundamental chops of a driving simulator.

It's not the flashiest, it's getting old, but the world is a better place for this game existing.

The game has aged quite a bit and the UI is wacky as always but the car simulation is very realistic and the force feedback that i got from my thrustmaster t300 was unreal and no other game has been able to replicate that. This game might not have as much content as Project Cars 2 or as much flair as Forza but it offers something true that you may even be able to use in real life. But a steering wheel for this game is highly recommended since you absolutely cannot make smooth turns with a gamepad controller consistently. The tracks are also laser scanned so you can rest easy knowing that you are driving the real impression of the road

After 729 hours Played I think we can agree that I'm hooked. Delicious addiction to this game that gets better with time, The Ai who was terrible in the early stages is now very good, you can enjoy a race without the usual chaos from single player races.

The graphics are still good and much less demanding than Competizione.

What make this games so rewarding is the feel at the wheel when driving street cars, you will be doing hotlaps just enjoying the finer details of each car, the delicious handling of Ferraris, the torquey engine of a Vette or the elegant tuning of a Porsche.

The last batch of mods are brilliant, modders seem to understand the engine well and there a lot of gems, cars or tracks.

For the price it have now few games will offer so much hours of enjoyment.
