I loved this on my Wii back in the day and it's good for a daily dose of nostalgia. However it's disappointed that they didn't have wolves and stuff like in the DS version. I never truly understood why the Wii version was missing certain animals that were available on the DS version.

Pretty neat game and lots of nostalgia. Only downside is the lack of animals form the console version. Otherwise it's a chill game to vibe to on a lazy day.

I can't recommend this game enough (for parents of young children). My daughter loves creating the animals and then playing with them.

I can't tell you much about the game play, but it must be an enjoyable game as it gives me a quiet house.

I do like the game one of my childhood games i wish they had all the animals though makes it less fun i really miss the crocs and wolves still weird how they decided not to add the rest of the animals but its still fun people should play it but the ds and wii version is much better

I had this game as a kid on the wii, so I expected a lot of animals.
I looked on the wiki and saw no crocodiles. Where are the animals. This game is great with more animals :(

Pros:
-Adorable creatures
-Nice music soundtrack
-Nostalgia from childhood
-Animal customization is nice

Cons:
-Not very many species available
-Very juvenile for an adult but I think a kid would LOVE this game
-Fun mini challenges

I bought it because of nostalgia. I used to have it on the Wii as a kid. I come to find out this version is missing the best animals from the Wii version. Crocodiles, Elephants, Antelopes, Bears, Penguins and a few subspecies, all do not appear in this version of the game. And there were wild dogs and a few other sub-species for a few animals on the DS. Sigh, maybe this developer could one day turn this into the definitive edition of the game with all the content from the other versions. Or re-release the game as a definitive edition, I would seriously pay full price again just for those animals. Until something like that happens i cannot recommend the game at it's 15.00$ price. Because despite the games ample charm, its content is quite sparse without the missing animals

I really enjoyed playing this game on the Wii when I was a kid. While I do prefer the Wii's controllers over this version, it is still fun to create your own animals, as well as play with and take care of them. It is a shame, though, that there aren't as many animals as there are in the Wii version. If you can't get a Wii and you want to play this, and don't mind not having all of the animals, I suggest buying it here whenever it is on sale.

It may feel very repetitive but this game is my heart and memories. The animals in the game are so lovable that it makes you develop a new love for animals in the real world. With different customization you can make your animals and your exhibits look however you want. With a little creativity your animals will look fantastic and as always adorable.

I bought this game for my young daughter (4 or 5 at the time) and she LOVED it! It was one of her first video games, and I played together with her at first to show her what to do.

Basically, treat your animals well by feeding, cleaning, and playing with them, and they will give you hearts which you use to unlock new and better food, toys, etc... get enough and you unlock new animal areas. Sydney's favorites were the playsets! Lots of hearts to buy, but she loved watching her animals play on them.

Great game for a little kid. My daughter loves taking care of the different animals and its pretty easy for her to grasp and play almost totally on her own. She is 3 years old and has an absolute blast.

It would be nice if the developers owned and embraced the fact the game is definetly oriented towards younger kids. I found out about it online while looking for a game for my kids so I bought it knowing full well what I was buying. I can see how some people may have bought the game thinking it was something more than what it is. Either way my 5 year old loves it and its something we get to do together so great game in that regard. Not recomended for gamers though.

Cute game. A bit childish, but if you like cute animals or have a young kid to entertain it's a good way to pass the time. There is a nice variety of animals and plenty to do with them, toys to play with, and stuff to feed them. You can even design your own animals (fur pattern, body type, etc) to an extent. My only real wish is that you could rename the animals. Overall, not a bad game if you like cute, casual games. If you have a touchscreen laptop/monitor, it can be even more fun. And it runs fine on Windows 8, if that's what you happen to have.
