In a game so wrapped up in mystery, Shatter exploration is an integral part of Wizard With a Gun. Each time you leave the Tower into a procedurally generated world, you will be able to collect items used for crafting, meet and talk with NPCs that can aid you in your journey, and scan to your heart’s content. ????
Collect & Craft ????⚒️
Crafting is a large part of Wizard With a Gun. You’ll need to collect items from around the Shatter in order to craft clothing, furniture, potions, and even the spells you’ll use to take down enemies! When you leave the safety of the Tower, leave no stone unturned. Leave no turnip ungathered. One of the strategies the team used most in playtesting were farming runs, where once you go out of that portal, pockets empty and guns a-blazing, the primary goal was collecting crafting materials. This way, you can stock up on everything you need to make yourself the best and most powerful little wizard you can be!
Meet NPCs ????
If you happen to find yourself low on health while wandering the Shatter, find Grandma Bogfen! She is a master potion crafter and will be more than happy to offer you one of her creations. If it’s weaponry you seek, find our good friend Young Joshua, the Gunsmithy! He will make you guns that you can use in your journeys. These aren’t the only two friends you can make, so ensure you explore all biomes for more friendly faces!
Scanning for Lore & More ????
In order to learn more about the creatures, objects, and enemies you encounter, you should scan them with the First Edition. It will tell you all you need to know (and sometimes even give you recipes for furniture, powders, and upgrades to clothing.) Always worth it to scan!
