Überlebens-RPG und Ego-Shooter
Walking Zombie 2 ist ein guter alter Ego-Shooter mit einer Geschichte, Dutzenden Quests und viel Geschieße mit unterschiedlichen Waffen. Deine größten Feinde sind Zombies, die bereits die Welt kontrollieren. Es gibt viele verschiedene Arten und sie sind überall. Nutze Waffen mit unterschiedlicher Munition, Granaten oder Nahkampfwaffen, um sie fertigzumachen. In den Kampfpausen kannst du dich mit Erste-Hilfe-Sets und Essen heilen. Schließe immer mehr Quests ab und verbessere dabei deinen Charakter mit besserer Ausrüstung, stärkeren Fertigkeiten und erhalte Vorteile. Bekommst du mehr Trefferpunkte, eine bessere Chance, beim Knacken von Schlössern erfolgreich zu sein, oder verringert sich dein Benzinverbrauch, wenn du über die Weltkarte fährst?

Zombiegemetzel im Polygon-Stil

The Walking Zombie 2 ist ein Spiel aus dem Hause Alda Games.
Das Spiel ist für Android und Steam kostenlos erschienen und seit Anfang Dezember 2021 auch für Xbox verfügbar.
Auf der Xbox kostet das Spiel zum Zeitpunkt dieser Rezension knapp 12€.

Vorweg: Lasst euch nicht von der Spielzeit hier auf Steam beirren, ich habe das Spiel auf der Xbox One getestet.

Zwischen Tod und Verderben erscheint ein neues Licht

Es ist das Ende der Welt und überall wimmelt es von Zombies. In der Luft kann man die Verwesung förmlich riechen.
Eine Gruppe Überlebender versucht mit allen Mitteln gegen die Zombiehorden anzukämpfen.
Auf dem Boden eine schwangere Frau, welche gerade in den Wehen liegt und ihr Kind gebärt.
Um sie herum schleichen sich die ersten Zombies an - sie wurden vom Lärm angelockt.

Plötzlich weint ein Neugeborenes...

Kurz nicht hingeschaut und die Mutter ist verschwunden.
Zumindest scheint es so - denn genau in diesem Moment stürmt die Mutter auf die Gruppe zu!
Doch leider ist sie kein Mensch mehr, sie hat sich verwandelt und ist nun auch ein Beisser!

Ein gezielter Schuss in den Kopf reicht aus um sie endgültig zu töten... vor den Augen des Babys.
Aber es ist nicht irgendein Baby... es ist der Auserwählte.

20 Jahre später...

Jetzt - als junger Erwachsener - ist es an der Zeit die Waffe in die Hand zu nehmen und sich für das Wohlergehen des Camps nützlich zu machen.
Im Camp finden sich einige Überlebende, die sich die ganze Zeit um uns gekümmert haben. Nun da wir alt genug sind werden auch wir ins Ödland gehen um nach Vorräten zu suchen.
Denn leider wütet die Zombiebedrohung immer noch.

Nachdem wir mit einer Waffe ausgestattet wurden dauert es nicht lange, bis sich die ersten Campbewohner melden und uns um Hilfe bitten.
Die Bewohner haben reichlich Arbeit für uns: mal müssen wir den Zaun reparieren, mal Areale von Zombies säubern um an Vorräte zu kommen und manchmal müssen wir auch weniger prestigereiche Aufgaben erfüllen, wie zB. eine Uhr aus der Toilette fischen, nachdem der Besitzer der Uhr groß musste...
Ja, richtig gelesen... The Walking Zombie 2 nimmt sich nicht immer ganz ernst.

Während des Abenteuers treffen wir auf eine Vielzahl von Feinden, darunter gefräßige Zombies, skrupellose Banditen und sogar monströse Bosse. Außerdem bietet das Spiel auch anderweitig Herausforderungen, wie zB. Minispiele und Scharfschützenmissionen!

Die Story ist sicherlich nicht oscarreif, bietet aber auf eine ganz eigene Art und Weise eine angenehme Unterhaltung.
Der subtile Humor der uns ständig begleitet tut dem Spiel tatsächlich gut und lässt uns auch von kleineren Faux-Pas, wie zB. dem Voice-Acting der Zombies, weghören. Da wäre tatsächlich mehr drin gewesen.

Um in der Geschichte weiterzukommen, muss man über eine Gebietskarte die nächsten Reiseziele auswählen.
Nach jeder angenommenen Quest findet sich auf der Karte eine Markierung der man folgen muss.
Jede Reise kostet uns Treibstoff - und dieser ist begrenzt.
Wenn wir Aufgaben erledigen bekommen wir hin und wieder auch Treibstoff als Belohnung.
An dieser Stelle fällt auch auf, dass es sich hier um ein hochpoliertes Mobile-Game handelt.

Oftmals müssen wir uns in den Gesprächen zwischen mehreren Antworten entscheiden.
Die Entscheidungen können Auswirkungen auf unseren Charakter haben.
Schlechte Taten sorgen dafür, dass unser Held an Karma verliert und gute Taten steigern diesen Wert natürlich.
Dies führt im Verlauf der Geschichte zu verschiedenen Verläufen und Begegnungen.
Ein Element des Spiels, welches ich sehr interessant finde.

Der polygone Grafikstil ist meiner Meinung nach auch sehr passend gewählt, da sich das Spiel nicht immer ernst nimmt und das Look and Feel dadurch stimmig ist.

Die musikalische Untermalung hätte meiner Meinung nach gerade während den Schießereien dramatischer sein können.
Hier hat man leider ein wenig Potenzial liegen gelassen.

Mein Fazit

Wer auf Zombies und Polygone steht ist bei The Walking Zombie 2 genau richtig.
Auch wenn man merkt dass es ein aufgehübschtes Mobile Game ist, fühlt sich alles stimmig an.
Da die Missionen teilweise etwas repetitiv sind, empfehle ich dieses Spiel eher als kleinen Snack für Zwischendurch.

Wichtige Bemerkung:
Das Spiel wurde mir vom Entwickler freundlicherweise zu Testzwecken für Xbox One zur Verfügung gestellt.
Getestet wurde das Spiel hauptsächlich auf einer Xbox One S.
Für Xbox ist das Spiel nicht kostenlos!

Zuerst das Positive:
Die Grafik ist gut gelungen und die Einführung ist ganz lustig.

Die Idee des Spiels ist eigentlich ganz Cool, jedoch sehr repetitiv und ein eintönig nach einiger Zeit (für mich schon nach etwa einer Viertelstunde).
Generell wirkt das Spiel wie ein Handygame was man auf den PC gebracht hat.
Da es dazu auch noch Pay to Win ist, z.B. kann man sich Waffen kaufen und die Energie mit der man Missionen startet ist begrenzt und lässt sich mit Geld nachfüllen.

Ich hatte nach 15 Minuten leider schon die Lust verloren, würde trotzdem aber jedem empfehlen den das Spiel interessiert es mal auszuprobieren und sich so seine eigene Meinung zu bilden.

An sich ein nettes Game,
ABER leider kommt man nicht all zu weit wenn man kein Geld ausgibt für dieses Game.
Die ersten 2 Stunden laufen Problemlos sobald man aber in die zweite Stadt kommt geht einem das Benzin aus und die Euros fließen.
Nette Spiel Idee mit eigentlichen hohen Suchtfaktor

aber müsst ihr selbst wissen mir ist es keinen Cent wert

Ein sehr Gutes Spiel man kommt auch ohne geld sehr weit, doch wenn man einmal das mega packet kauft hat man es viel einfacher.

Dieses Spiel ist schlecht, nicht im Sinne von Böse, im sinne von gammlig. Es erinnert hart an Handyspiele bei denen man warten muss bis man wieder genügend Sprit hat um weiterspielen zu können, oder man kauft eben ^^
Anspruch hat das Spiel ebenfalls keinen, außer einem vielleicht das Geld mit Microkäufen abzuziehen.

Es ist wirklich richtig ranzig.

Seit dem UPDATE 06.07.20 ist das Startfenster zur Einstellung der Videogröße und der Tastaturbindung verschwunden. So ist das Spiel überhaupt nicht mehr spielbar.
Das sollten die Entwickler schnell wieder einfügen....
Ansonsten gutes Spiel...

Im Grunde ist es ein Quest-Spiel. Man bekommt eine Aufgabe (einen Ort) zu dem man fahren muss (dafür brauch man Benzin) muss dort dann etwas erledigen, unter anderem eben Zombies töten und Gegenstände einsammeln oder ausbuddeln, dann wieder zurück und die Quest abgeben, sich neu ausrüsten usw.
Dabei ist die Grafik des Spiel zwar simpel aber ich finde es passend.
Ich habe es insgesamt 2h gespielt und hatte ziemlich viel Spaß dabei.
Jedoch, was mich ein bisschen stört und weshalb ich auch nur 2h gespielt habe, man muss nach einer Weile wenn man kein Benzin mehr hat, auf neues warten.

Ansonten kann ich das Spiel auf jeden Fall empfehlen, wer gerne mit Pfannen auf Zombies einschlägt und nichts gegen geometrische Grafik hat.

Ich war erst skeptisch !
aber als ich 5-10 min es angespielt habe war ich sehr überascht !!!
ich kann zwar nur wie beim handy game . von a nach b fahren, neme missionen an die sich leider alle offt unterscheiden ...
zu anfang , aber das famen macht geld und was man an meisten braucht ist Munition !!! und die bekommt man zum glück auch an aller meisten, ich habe schon 1600 schus und 2100 in der mp5.
das leveln ist wie in fallout da es 2 level baum system giebt + leerbücher ! einmal punkte verteilen wie leben etz,,, wie man kennt... und alle 3-4 level ein fallout perk ^^ wie rede mit tieren, überlebe den letzten treffer, und lerne bücher lesen . . .
die ersten 2 stunden spielen sich etwas schleppend. verteidige , suche , tuhe ....
was auch sehr an fallout 1 änlich ist , man färt über die map und es kommen zufalbegenungen offt negative aber auch gute !
überfälle, veraschungen, zombis und co...
man dringt in bunkeranlagen ein, hat bosse und ein dorf , wo man leider nur quest anemen kann -.-

ich finde das spiel echt gut bis auf eine ausname : das man wen man ins menu geht immer genervt wirt von : kaufe für 9.99 das set...

ach ja schatzsuche giebt es auch und in der scheisse nach items wühlen ( wort wörtlich ^^ ) ein traum eines jeden

Erstmal, dafür dass es kostenlos ist, ist es ein hervorragendes Spiel, Es gibt viele verschiedene Waffen die jede eine eigene Stärke besitzen. Die Steuerung ist simpel und leicht verständlich. Das Spiel ist einfach gehalten manchmal aber ein bisschen zu einfach, es sind immer die selben Karten... Einzige was ich kritisiere ist, dass wenn man aus einem verschlossenen Raum ohne Löcher usw. gerade alle Zombies gekillt hat nach dem nexten Missionsupdate auf einmal wieder hunderte Zombies kommen. Wenn es eine Sternebewertung geben würde würde ich dem Spiel 4/5 geben. Da ich das Werk der Entwickler echt schätze und es ein super Gelegenheitsspiel ist habe ich mir so ein Vorteilspack gekauft für 10€ welches den Spielspaß nochmals stark erhöt

Trotz des Kaufes der Steamversion werde ich noch immer bei jedem aufrufen des Inventars und beim umblättern im Inventar mit Werbung zugespamt das ist nicht nur extrem nervig sondern auch eine frechheit sondersgleichen. Mein Geld bekomme ich weder von Steam noch von Alda Games wieder das ist Komplette Verarsche Ignoriert dieses spiel und verschwendet keinesfalls euer Geld.

Whoa. at first I thought this will be a goofy game, but no, it's pretty cool actually, minus the repetitive locations, but I just started to play today. Such a nice surprise, fluid controls, RPG elements and destructible zombie bodies. I also like the story so far.

From me it's recommended, and also free to play.

no new update from dev and mobile version also no new contents or updates. dev just creates new game, a polygon fantasy diablo clone rpg in early access.. guess this zombie game isnt bringing the $ so they just abandon this game, steam just offer dlc which really doesnt add anything new to this old game... so dont bother buying the dlc... the cybertruck meme is long overdue.. prolly looked good on some tech wannabe FB post but its not really practical right?

i don't recommend this game based on 2 main things

1- The Story

The story in this game is very simple like any zombie game, Humans have turned into zombies because of a virus and u have to search for a cure in the middle of the laboratories and pass some characters that help u in ur journey. in return u must do some missions for them

Walking Zombie 2 is a zombie survival game for kids (although my opinion is that kids should not play violent games) as long as they can play and how old this game is if one wants to play something easy and relaxed with dozens choices from weapons clothing missions, it also has a nice story as you are the only survivor on a huge map although some are repeated, it would be good to have a cooperative online it would be more fun to play with friends and also it would be a little better the player's movement . 5.7/10

Got this game when someone told me it is free. So I get it to play during my vacation. I have to say it is not bad . But some gameplay mechanics are weird. You cannot jump in this game! So if there is a cardboard box behind you, instead of squashing the box with the character's feet while strafing backward you will be stuck just because of that box. Also the zombie horde could all been stuck just because of that box as well. So in order to have an easier time during your gameplay you have to use your surrounding environment very well.

Probably my favorite free to play game thus far.

I usually stay away from free to play games because of the infamous micro transactions. But this game has the right balance between the time to play and the wait time to resume your travels, although i can't say i'm not tempted to buy some of the guns haha. :) Definitely enjoyable without paying a penny, not difficult at all, very casual game and fun for anyone who likes shooting zombies. 10/10 would recommend to all my friends.

Okay, this game takes forever. I've played it for 12 hours and I'm bored as all hell and haven't even finished the game yet, AND THATS WITH UNLIMITED GAS. It would've gotten a thumbs up from me if it ended at Springfield, and I'm not a huge fan of the open world part. Don't get me started on the Zombie QB or Zombie Pukers, those things are hell to deal with. The grenades hardly even work anymore, they used to be really helpful but now your main weapon does more than them. Also the gasoline factor is just purely for you to buy unlimited gas, you have to wait almost a full day in order to get a full tank, and then you immediately waste that tank too! It was fun at first, and the title is kinda clever, but if you want a zombie game that wont feel like you aged 10 years before defeating it, go for something else; Free doesn't mean better.

The Walking Zombie 2 is an open world FPS game. First of all, it is a mobile game and the game reminds you this in every chance it gets. You open your inventory a pop-up appears, you open your map and another pop-up appears. The game constantly showing you offers and things that are purchasable with real money. The base game is free but if you want to really enjoy the game you have to buy the Mega Pack. Without it, it's tedious to play. The PC port is decent. I haven't experienced any crashes and haven't encountered any bugs or glitches. Compared to first game, The Walking Zombie 2 is a huge improvement. I want to congratulate the devs on that aspect. They improved nearly every part of the first game. The Walking Zombie 2 has more guns, more customization, more locations to explore, more missions to complete and more loot to collect. The game even has voice acting. For a mobile game it's really long. I think it's unnecessarily long. After a certain point the game becomes a chore to play because in each map there are 4 to 5 places you can go. The missions always send you to these same locations. You can go to same lab 3 times back to back, to complete the missions. Visiting the same place over and over again and killing the same enemies over and over again really becomes tedious. Last parts of the game really bored me to death. The gameplay is fine for the most part. The gunplay is decent. Melee combat is weak, no matter which weapon you equip you don't feel like you are attacking the enemy. Also, the same music repeats though the background and after playing a while it's going to start scratching your ears. I completely turned off the music and opened up my playlist while playing. When you complete missions, you gain XP and coins. You use coins to buy medkits, grenades and new weapons from shops. When you gain enough XP you level up and increase your stats. You can build your character in any way you want. You also unlock special perks that boost your character's stats. The RPG elements really enhance the experience. The game is filled with movie and videogame easter eggs. Encountering them was really fun. Considering this is a mobile game it's really good. It's the improved version of The Walking Zombie 1. It can become boring if you play long hours. So, I advise you to play in short chunks.

I'm 90% sure this is originally a mobile game, but too lazy to confirm. Still works well as a PC game. Way more depth than you would think, just grinding for new guns and such. For a mobile game 9/10, for a PC game thats free 6.5/10. Good to kill time and grind a bit casually.

Pretty fun. Plays like a mobile game and that's because it is. Nothing wrong with that, but as much as I want to get lost in killing zombies for hours I don't want to pay 20 dollars to 1. Not deal with Gas and 2. Gain inventory upgrades. Monetizing cosmetic aspects are fine, but pay walling upgrades for your gun as well as a whole lot of other stuff is where I draw the line and say, I'm not giving you money.

Edit: Wow dude. The very next day the stinking DLC goes on sale. Thanks for that I guess.

Game is pretty fun.
I personaly also realy like the style!
Its also avilable for android (idk about ios).
And you dont need a beast pc to run it!
Would be great if they added multi-player!
Over all would recomend this game if you have a low spec pc and like zob games!
(also its a great time killer on the phone)

It's like a dumbed-down, slightly restrictive, slightly janky Fallout 2. People like to talk about which gun is the best in this game, but I've been solid using a shovel that you can get at the start. Melee build and backstrafing are beautifully OP.

Spent 46.9 hours on this game, completed every mission and I enjoy playing through all of it. For a free game, this is pretty good. There are some stuff this game force you to do, making it repetitive with the missions but the core game mechanics is still fun. I mostly play the game for the story line and it can be wacky sometimes. I love how dumb the story can be, but I enjoy throwing rationality out of the door and have fun with what the story is telling. When the characters have voice lines, it sounds crappy, making the game more hilarious and fun to listen to. Also can't believe there's trump in this game lol.

One thing I have to complain about the game is how the mission for some things are so stretch out, like wtf. One mission makes you collect something from a location, so you go there and kill zombies but you don't pick the things that's in front of you, then you return back to base to tell the person you kill the zombies, then you have to go back and grab it, then return again. And sometimes, they make you go back there again 2-3 more times for something you could already done. Bruh.

7/10, the dev that created the idea for the zombie bear needs to be sent to the gulag.

An average first person survival game. Graphics are really poor, the worst product aspect, but runs without important bugs, althought sometimes has collission issues.

Mechanics is the classical basic, so is fast to learn and master: player has skills upgradable by experience, can carry 2 weapons at will, 4 pieces of armour, 2 items in belt and more in backpack. There is a soft auto-healing system, so needs bandages, medkits and food, and requires amount items for sell in exchange of silver coins to buy things. But loot system has been downgraded, there are few containers - barely none in campaign - and items from falled enemies are random, so cant get their guns or clothes.

Action is localized in more or less little map areas conected by roads, so gasoline for vehicle is another important resource, like try to search better transports that spend the less gas possible.

Gameplay is fluid and typical of the genre, maybe is too easy for veterans, that could finish game without dying or once only, so is very recommendable to introduce youngers and newers in the genre. Is large: To finish main campaign, doing all secondary missions, enhance all town buildings to maximun level, reach character level 100 and get more or 75% achievements, takes about 146 hours of play.

A remarkable drawback is the fact that the screenplay, scenaries and even characters are strongly based on the great Fallout series, specially the third title; constantly player feels like as if were in that world, and not good because begins to compare to it, and that is much better in all.

Is free, and altought has a micropayment system implemented, not force to pay to win. Hopefully designers do more contents, because has many potential to enhances ( places, missions, combat with vehicles, developing for town... ), or made a new title... with better graphics, please!

When i first saw this game on the steam page, i thought it was a free-roam zombie game. I was wrong, it gives little freedom of exploration to the player and requires you to pay for DLC to play further than the first area. I completed the first area in little under 3 hours and felt cheated when i couldn't pass to the next. Then i did a little digging and found out that this game was originally released on mobile, and instead of making it suitable for PC users, i.e. make it more challenging and removing the micro-transactions, they just copy-pasted the mobile version to computer.

Fun game that can be played for free. It get more challenging as you progress, and while there is an ad offer you have to click through each time you look at your map, you can totally play this game for free. I would describe it as part idle, part action, as you have to wait for gas to accumulate to do missions. A little repetitive, buy yet addictive. Try it!

way too heavy on the micro payments. it'll literally force you to stop playing for hours while you wait for gas to generate or if you pay real money to continue playing the game. first world everything is fine and dandy but once you move too the next you get hit with a brick wall.

I started to play this game on Android. But I was not good at moving and aiming with my thumbs while shooting the zombies. So, I was glad to see the game was available as a F2P on Steam and went on with it on the PC version instead.

The F2P aspect of the game is less invasive on the PC than on the mobile version. There, I could fully enjoy the game ; its story, its absurd humour, its even more absurd quests, and its full voice acting cutscenes, without any adds blocking up my screen everytime I checked my inventory.

As a F2P player, the resource I lacked the most was Gas. The game advises to go farm in the Open World in order to craft this resource at a Gas Station. But this method is quite counter-productive. For each Gas Can crafted, I lost the same amount of Gas driving around the Open World to gather the resources needed to craft Gas...

So instead, it's better to invest Skill points in Driving (which decreases Gas consumption for all the vehicles), to buy the Perk points that increase Fuel Tank capacity (which means more daily free Gas), and to focus on gaining as many XP as possible through questing, because each level up gives +15L of Fuel. Moreover, Traders from City of the Sun and Northtown often sell Gas Cans.

This game kept me busy for a while, and I really enjoyed every bit of it. I enjoyed being kidnapped by [spoiler]an UFO[/spoiler], and then working on the case with [spoiler]X Files agents[/spoiler]. I liked throwing an explosive party in Springfield, and cleaning up the mess with my [spoiler]future girlfriend[/spoiler]. I had fun at my [spoiler]wedding[/spoiler], even if the mayor didn't bother to come. The [spoiler]family reunion[/spoiler] in Northtown was really unexpected. And I had a lot of fun in baiting and chasing the terrible [spoiler]Yeti[/spoiler]!

A con might be the repetitive aspect of the quests. I often visited the same maps but with different objectives. Though, It didn't bothered me because the story is full of unexpected twists.

Another con might be the poor variety of Armors and Weapons. I used maybe 3 different weapons during my whole playthrough. I actually bought decent ones at the Trader quite early in the game, and didn't find anything better since. Same about my Armor.

A final con would be about achievements. If you're a completionist, you won't enjoy this.
I played this game for about 60hrs : I dug about 30/200 treasures and lockpicked about 60/500 safes.
Those numbers are a counter definition of fun.

But my overall impression of the game is really good, I enjoyed playing it, the F2P experience was not too frustrating and I would recommend this game to everyone who's interested in a nice pew pew game with amusing dialogues and an enjoyable gameplay.

The game is fun, the gun mechanic is not bad.

But there's one thing that is super super mega incredibly ultra pro max 5G sucks! At one point you will kinda forced to buy the Steam Pack to get the unlimited gas forever. Without it, you will be forced to stop playing the game for a while to wait for free gas ready to be claimed. That killed the fun.

the game is still in beta which means it has quite a bit of save breaking faults. this normally wouldn't be a problem however the game's progress is based off of your single saved file, so when your file corrupts you have to start back at the beginning. in addition the game has a lot of pay to win and smacks you in the face with it on a constant basis.

So far, I've really enjoyed this little game ESPECIALLY at the price point. It's pretty thorough but tasks are easy and quick. It's a great game if you want to play for a few minutes or an hour at a time. The styling is fun. The gameplay is fulfilling.

Coming from somebody who enjoys playing zombie killing games and is completely obsessed with both Left 4 Dead games, This was sort of refreshing and somewhat addictive. The game is basically like borderlands in the sense that its a free roam game with quests but it was minecraftish sort of graphics and with zombies and monsters.

Obviously, good game.
I had plenty of joy killing zombies here - more than 100 hrs.
It have some comic touch I liked too, and it is a grind to get better equipment, but still highly recommended to play.
There are some P2W options too, and why not support the devs a bit.
But paying is not mandatory to win.

For a free game, this is enjoyable. It's very well programmed and I haven't found a single bug in it. It's one of those non-linear 'travel and do jobs for rewards' type of game, so you can choose what to take on. To be fair, it's pretty simple, the only real challenge is to keep killing the zombies, but there's a good variety of jobs and lots of trading to do, so it's worth getting for some simple fun game time.

It's not even that great and yet I am quite addicted to it.

This is a port of a F2P mobile game and that means that you should expect microtransactions, energy and whatever you should expect in a mobile game. I'm level 60 at the time of this review and I still haven't across a paywall. The game is fairly easy thanks to the AI being primitive (AI upgrade when?) and most of the weapons being powerful enough to kill in one hit.

The game does use assets from Unity Store but that doesn't really matter because it's more than an asset flip, it's an actual game. I only wish they used more models because there surely aren't that many diversity (Not to mention there are 50 models on the zombie pack, why they only used like 5 models of the zombies is beyond me).

One thing that really bothers me are how the levels are designed. You can easily rush past the zombies til you inevitably have to kill the zombies which can be easily wiped with grenades, which is quite boring.
And Alda Games, adjust the achievements already. No way in hell that anyone is going to dig 2000 treasures without cheating, that's thousands of hours of digging.

Do I recommend it to anyone? Only if you have nothing better to play. The game is quite repetitive and there certainly are better games out there.

Walking Zombie 2 Review

This game is a simple First Person Zombie shooter, with a story line and RPG Elements. It has the “Modern Polygon Graphics” which is pretty neat. You play as “The Chosen One” who is immune to the virus and all you do is run errands for the inhabitants and leaders of the camps. These errands/aid reward you with coins, weapons, items and/or Experience. Your main objective is to activate the “Self-Destruct” sequence in the science bases in different areas. This game doesn’t really have an ending as they are still releasing new maps and missions.

What’s so good about this game?

Stunning Polygon graphics and great character and asset designs.
Great story line, filled with emotion, drama, action and suspense.
Low file size [about 700ish MB] and free-to-play.
Although this game is of a small file size, it has a lot of elements packed into it. It has a vast variety of zombies, different items and accessories, an awesome collection of various weapons etc.
This game is not short. It actually takes a long time to progress. It starts off easy, but then, as you dig deeper into the game, the difficulty increases. As of now, the game cannot be completed since the developers are still updating it and adding more missions and areas.
Awesome reload animations. Unlike other indie games, the reload animations are actually good.
The game has Grindable content, where you can earn Experience and Coins without any hassle.
Has an Open-world type experience. It’s not exactly open world as you can explore only a restricted area. But the ability to explore and visit any place at any time gives the player an Open-World vibe.

What are the game’s drawbacks?

The game is interesting at first, but later on, it becomes repetitive. Grab/Search for the item/person, Fight off the Zombie herds, Explore/secure the area etc.
You cannot jump in this game. Jumping is like an essential action for FPS games. And a constant FPS player playing this game would find it awkward at first since you are not able to jump.
Gunplay is plainly bad. Bullet drop doesn’t exist, the bullet just disappears after a distance. All the guns have pin point accuracy, which is funny.
The zombies’ movements are same. They was they move their heads make it hard to get a headshot, so it becomes annoying as you waste a lot of bullets.
There are a lot of minor bugs, glitches and loopholes which do not affect the game-play much.
There are a few interferences in the game like NPCs pushing you or blocking your view etc.

Denouement

This game is pretty decent for its file size and for an Indie game too. Despite its flaws, it’s a playable game which can be used as a source of entertainment when you are bored. A multiplayer/Co-op option would really boost this games status and make it even more fun.

Spent 19 hours on the game. Spent $10 to get unlimited gas. It was a grand time. Fantastic and honestly extremely fun. Can no recommend this game on the basis of ammo loss. What I mean by that is, you will start a mission with 2000 rounds of ammo. Go into town and when you start the next mission you will have 1 single clip left. The game glitches and just sells your ammo off. Not a huge deal, annoying yes. This has happened to me 5 different times. 1 time and the cause of me quitting said game was with my energy ammo (you cannot find energy ammo, you have to purchase it for a vendor) 10,000 in game money (roughly 4000 rounds) gone for unknown reasons. The game also shoves ads down your throat even after spending money. decent game. Needs work

If you don't already own any other FPS zombie games this is about as simple and generic as you can get and it's free. However, if you already own any other game that includes killing zombies, there's a really good chance that it's better than this.

mildly entertaining game but the fuel paywall is trash. You wind up traveling all over the place and sometimes have to go back and forth to the same location over and over. Each trip using fuel. You get 15 fuel every time you level but the locations keep getting further away. soon you're out of fuel and have to wait to keep playing or you can buy some with real world currency. And no... You can not find fuel in the game or buy it with in game currency. Fun for four hours... imma head out.

Has some glitches, doesn't have an ending at this point, and can be grindy in some spots if you're not a fan of that.

Other than those things it is a pretty fun game that has had me playing daily.

Great game, if you want to kill some time you should give it a try. Only downside is that once you get to a certain part in the game it starts to feel very repetitive.

This is a super cool game, you say that it is fixed. i wanna tell you about that when i was on the quest when the chosen one is gettin eaten, the moment when he is sleeping in the centre's medical hut, elder is talking and a random woman comes and starts ''Talking'' to him. she blocked the whole cutscene, making me not to see the cutscene.Its not COMPLETELY fixed... Bye!

The game is a mobile port and it shows. Obnoxious popups constantly asking you to shill out money for 'boosts' and 'free items' and various microtransactions for everything in the game. It's actually a surprisingly fun rpg game, right until you run out of 'stamina' (or fuel, in this game), which happens about 2 hours in, depending on how quickly you complete and travel between missions. Then you either are waiting for many hours to get free fuel or you are going to have to pay about 3 or 4 dollars to get some more. Were it not for these disgusting predatory business tactics, I'd actually rate this game positively. The creativity put into this game is squandered with the greedy choice these developers have decided to go with I cannot support this game in any way. Keep this disgusting practice off of steam.

I was really surprised with how much
I enjoyed Walking Zombie 2

First you have to know what your getting into.
A mobile port, f2p, singleplayer, zombie survival game
Walking Zombie 2 also has some rpg elements and Minecraft looking graphics. On surface level this game might not look like much, but it actually has more to it than you might think, especially after playing the first game. If you come in with the right approach, there's a lot to appreciate here, especially being a Free to play Mobile to PC Port. It's only annoying when they advertise a lot, but even the Fuel System is manageable. I also don't appreciate any political pushing in my entertainment. Now I don't know if this game is done or not, and even though I got a nice 30 hours of gameplay, it sucked when I did the last quest and it was over, I was really getting into the loop of things. I appreciate the Northtown update, but I'd love a official ending.

Overall
Walking Zombie 2 was a great game to me. I can understand why others wouldn't like it, it's not perfect. But given all the genres and subgenres that are in this game, I think it's good. If you can look past this game on surface level or want a free casual rpg zombie shooter, I'd recommend this Walking Zombie 2

Well its hard to knock a free game. But this one is not what it appears to be. Its a mission base not open world.
While its fun to just throw back and shoot some zombies and it is mildly entertaining. Getting sales pitches thrown in your face everytime you leave a mission to buy items/boosters, is really not cool.

To sum up this game simply, its just another mobile pay2win money dump.

Love it it's insane how much depth is in a F2P game,definitely recommend it to story lovers,or fps players whom suddenly checked this game out in the store for the first time,you'll immediately be hooked with it's beauty and atmosphere

yet there are some bugs that needs some attention from the devs,because they can change mood of players

here are some I collected so you don't have to find them !:

-some places get you stuck in cities/villages,so you have to travel or restart the game
-when you try to open locks during lockpicking your key might break for some reason when getting it exactly on time
-at half of the progress of Springfield and beyond the voice of the NPCs couldn't be heard and you had to read them yourself,either bugged or not finished yet,I always liked their voice so please fix it
-when checking out the inventory or the map,it suddenly hits me with a pop up buy weapons with real money,I'd rather check them on my own
-bosses don't seem like a real challenge,they do at first but when you circle strafe them they just follow you around and refuse to hit you
-shotguns don't seem like they're powerful as they should be,so players with shotguns gonna be disappointed,even on point blank range
-hit register is kinda not working for many weapons,especially for fast moving zombies or dogs/rats
-when you open up the Trader's menu to make a quick check or just sell some scrap,then press shift or E (I don't remember) then click on an NPC to check for new quests it force opens up your inventory,a way to get rid of it either restart the game or re-click on the trader again and mouse click the X button,annoying bug

Introduction

Walking Zombie 2 is an linear zombie FPS with RPG elements, and it’s made by Czechish Alda Games.
The game was published in the year 2019.
The game is free to play but it does include micro transactions.
After taking a closer look at the game’s history, it apparently was ported on PC from a mobile game by the same studios, called by the same name.
So it’s a mobile game port.

Graphics and the Gameplay

The game’s appearance is peculiar and it does differ from the more usual graphical design. The game uses polygonal shapes and forms as the part of its textures. The shadings are on point and different in-game actions and events cause the showing up of the particle effects, which endorse the already artistic style of the game.
2 hours into the game i didn’t really notice any problems with the fps.
I think it’s partially because that the games system requirements are very low. Trust me, you don’t need a beefy computer to run this.

The use of polygonal shapes as textures requires less rendering from your PC, and this is why the problems with fps are minimal, almost unnoticeable. The game runs smooth as silk.
There’s a small tutorial in the beginning of the game, and this tutorial teaches you how the game works. Where to go and how to find the items and quests that are required for the story to go on.

The beginning of the game felt a bit like hand-holding, but gladly it didn’t last for too long. I didn’t feel like i was lost, allthough the controls were at first a bit wonky and something i wasn’t used to.

The game is linear, which means that allthough you are given the opportunities to explore different kinds of areas, mainly the game won’t be much of a free roam.
Personally the linearity of the game never mattered to me, as i more likely enjoy playing linear games, as they don’t feel like endless runs where you drown in side quests.

Game Mechanics

The game is a first person shooter that combines elements from role playing games. The game offers a very typical turn-based conversation between different characters. You can choose how you react to all kinds of things the NPCs have to say. They will remember all the things you’ve said though, so think of what you’ll say and how you’ll react. Walking Zombies 2 has an in-game mechanic called Karma.
Karma will count all the good and bad things you’ve said and done, and depending of the action it will rise.

Do good things, be polite and you’ll get positive Karma.
Be a bad guy and you’ll get negative Karma.
Depending of the state of your Karma, you’ll get access to varying kinds of missions and activities with different objectives and rewards.
To my understanding, gaining Karma also gives you more dialogical options, as well as the ”Random Encounters”. The ”Random Encounters” appear, as the name says, randomly between map locations. They’re like mini-missions, so to say. The availability of these game-changing options make the game more interesting.

The skill points make a return from your typical RPGs.
Performing missions will gain you experience points, which you can use to buy skill points. These points will gain access to all kinds of different skills, which you can use to increase the chances of your survival in the vast world overran by the overpopulation of zombies. For example, you can withstand more punishment from your enemies, or reload faster.
Absolutely my favorite skill is ”Animal Language” which gives you an ability to talk to animals. At the beginning of the game, i could go and talk to a chicken who gave me a mission to search for his missing husband.
This kind of feature elevates player’s interest towards the gameplay and creates pleasantly surprising situations.

The poorest attribute in the game is most definitely the fact that you need gasoline to move from location to location on map. You rarely get gasoline from any kinds of loot sources, and you can once in a hour reclaim a ”free gasoline canister” which will fill only a tenth from your gas tank.
”You’re having fun with our game? Sorry but you need to buy this upgrade to continue playing.”
After playing for 2 hours, i realized i couldn’t make any progress in game because i was out of gasoline and i didn’t want to pay real money to get some more.
I don’t understand why this feature had to be spared when porting from mobile to PC.

Characters and Story

The story is based on post-apocalyptic world where for unknown reason the living dead run wild.
These zombies represent the older, classic style of braindead creatures that walk too slow to be considered any bother. So slow i could almost imagine my grandma walking faster with her walker.
You can also see couple of the dogs that’ve been let out, as the song goes. Allthough they might also have been infested with mange and rabies. These mutts can’t do much harm as long as you finish them by shooting them somewhere around the head.
Later in the game you’ll see some kinds of megalomanic mutant chonkers, but the bigger the guy, the harder they fall.

Our hero, the player is very stereotypical alpha male who doesn’t look at explosions. You aren’t any skinny wimp, but an ambassador of doom, chosen by the god of war himself. This man is like a vogue model and terminator in the same package.
What comes to the other characters, in your headquarters, you’ll meet an comprehensive group of them. For example, you’ll make a friend with an old hunter, who’s seen everything from dusk till dawn. And an friendly woman, who keeps the local clinic running. The character cavalcade will expand as you advance in the game.

You’ll be making a business with the local trader who sells everything you’ll be needing to survive. Guns, ammo, food, supplies. There’s even an bounty hunter who’ll give you some tasks to be completed for some pocket money.
The Karma i mentioned earlier will effect the dialog choices. Mainly the characters try to get along, but through Karma’s side effects, you can cause all kinds of events happening around you.

Sound, Ambience and Music

To make the soundscape enjoyable, the game has couple of tricks up to it’s sleeve.
The characters are voice acted, but distinctly these aren’t no Hollywood-stars. Mainly the Dubbers get their jobs done, apart from couple little things.
Couple of the character’s voices feel like they’ve been voice acted by a man who’s been dead inside for too long. A monotone and a boring voice, simply put.

Apart from voice acting, the music will be mostly ambient and silence highlighting the atmosphere.
You’ll really feel how you’re alone and there’s nothing but possible danger lurking around every corner.
The music is quiet but it will raise up goosebumps and lay around the perfect feeling for the end of the world scenario.

This all changes when you found a chainsaw from an abandoned cabin. The banging of drums and the shred of electric guitar will lift up your feeling, as you rip and tear through the gurgling mass of braindead fellas.
I felt like the owner of the world when i stood on the top of the pile of permanently dead ghouls.

Conclusion

Walking Zombie 2 is an well functioning, laid-back and fun adventure flavoured with pleasingly simplistic art style. Unfortunately the micro transactions left in intentionally will limit the enjoyability of the game.
Unless you’re ready to pay 9,99€, that is.

This micro transaction will enable unlimited gasoline, which lets you roam the locations and areas with no worries, problem-free.
The game’s offensive nature of forcing ads to purchase the 9,99€ upgrade will get on your nerves pretty quickly. That’s why i can hardly suggest anyone to play this game. Unless you’re okay with the ad-filled menu screens, and the restrictive nature of the game mechanics.

Meh. Dead Frontier 2 did this better in pretty much every way. But if you want a dumbed down, graphically degraded, timegate-y, and strictly singleplayer experience of the same thing, sure, go for it.

This game has a lot of potential, what would make this game way better was if you guys made this game a massive multiplayer game. Nothing p2w but I like the idea of this game. It gives me a huge walking dead vibe and it's great. Keep going and make it massively multiplayer.

6/10 This game is a good time-killer. About all I can say about it really.

The combat is pretty repetitive and can be quite boring, however it's a good game for the purpose of killing time to enjoy some music, etc.

I'd recommend avoiding crashes in this game, my game crashed one time and I cannot load back into it. I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still won't let me back in.

To start things off about this game:

1. The story looks like it was made by a 12 year old, but it doesn't mean it's badly made

2. The gameplay is very bland. You go to an area, kill zombies, complete objective, kill zombies and leave; there is not much to do

3. The voice acting is not very great, but what did you expect from a game like this?

4. The leveling system is a bit grindy, but it's not bad to a point that's boring

So in conclusion, it's a game if you don't have anything to play or you're bored with the games you own. It is also only a few megabytes, so i would recommend you install it so you can take your own conclusion about it, because i've barely played the game

It has decent gun-play and a good variety of weapons to choose from (Though tbh certain weapons which are supposed to be powerful are usually overshadowed by smaller weapons which have higher dps. Rifle 3000 is apparently > M202 which is a rocket launcher.)

However, most of these varieties (and better weapons) are placed behind a paywall. There's also the constant need to use up gas back and forth missions, making it very likely for you to either buy the fuel or buy the unli-gas packs (Which isn't worth it if I'm being real.). Story is really lackluster (despite the sort of cheap charm that shitty voice-acting may have).

TLDR: It's another cashgrab.

can be addicting, it gets bored if you're out of gas especially NOT spending gold coins on gas but the story keeps me back.. i could wait 14 hours to fill up 70 FREE gas from the game..

Doable and fun. Great Storyline. A bit unbalanced about usage of the money but overall ok. Even tho this game has multiple platform, it has been doing great so far. For sure gonna wait for the next map. (Yea this game still in development)

Its a good game, came here after watching jacksepticeye play it and im glad i did. only problem is the gas and how much of it gets consume vs how much you can get free, if they gave more gas for free then id be ok with it maybe even spend money but as of now i wont be spending money but will continue to play slow AF.
