Schade eigentlich!

Not worth even a couple of cents
Do the same thing over and over, with the same exact objectives, in the same exact maps
WASTE OF TIME!

The thing is, this game could be good, but its seems the developers back then gave up about when it was out.
There sometimes fun elements, yet it can be a waste of money, don't get it unless you want the badge for your showcase which is actually the best thing about getting this game.

It’s hard to imagine that this takes place within the RE universe…
Some key points that this game offers:
1. Close Quarters Battle
2. Fast-paced competitive team shooter
3. Analog aim and cover system
Gameplay & Controls:
For an online competitive shooter, the movements are slow and quite opposite to the fast-paced combat advertised by the game. The combat itself is very boring and unimaginative. There is nothing unique to the predictable mechanics. It tries to be fun and entertaining, but it just doesn’t last long enough.
One of the worst implementations is the cover. Yes, this is a cover based shooter, but there is no place for such a mechanic here. The maps are full of zombies that are more than happy to attack anything in close proximity, and what’s better than a soldier stuck behind cover…
Movement is just as much of an imbalanced issue. Whether you are in a prone position or running normally, there is almost no difference in speed or penalty. When it comes to actual combat, we don't have the one or two bullets dead kill-time; instead, it's more Gears of War-styled, with characters whose movements are noticeably clumsier. This is made worse by the movement penalty when aiming down your sights, totally changing the concept of gunfight. Where a gunfight is supposed to be a fun-filled adrenaline rush, it becomes a boring chore, especially when the enemies end up being bullet sponges.
There are more issues, like the incredible slow reloading times, which further deters gun fighting, but overall combat mechanics are greatly lacking. The game did one thing beautifully, you level pretty fast and as you level, you are rewarded with new weapons and gear. There are cosmetics and several other fancy rewards, but with the lacklustre gameplay, this simply doesn’t save the game itself.
Graphics:
They did a very decent job bringing the older game areas into Umbrella Corps. We have the village from RE4, among several other notable places. However, we do have one issue that simply can’t go unnoticed, they are all way too cramped and it just makes the gameplay so much more taxing.
Character design was done pretty decently, adding to the beauty that is the levels we play in. One thing that the game has going for it is its visuals. They really are quite the sight. Shadow and lighting further enhances the visuals and gameplay aesthetics.
Sounds:
The soundtrack for the game isn’t bad, it does a fair job of adding some excitement to the game, but with so much going wrong for the game, it is hard to be positive when so much is negative.
There isn’t a lot of voice-over work, however, the titbits that there is was done quite decently.
Replayability:
The game hosts a variety of game modes that you can partake in. A particular mode here; the 3vs3 is one of the game modes that does the job of being fun, but quickly turns into a cramped up mess when the over populated army of the dead joins in.
Similar to kill confirmed we have another game mode where we kill Zombies to obtain DNA. The goal is to achieve the winning number before the opposing team. Some of the other game modes include defend the area, retrieval or eliminate the enemies. Nothing special about them, but the Zombies have been poorly implemented into them.
MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
Spoilers Ahead:
The biggest plus that the game has is Zombies, but the way they made use of them is so poorly implemented. They missed a big opportunity here. Most of the time they added Zombies to the stages to be a nuisance instead of a third enemy team. If they did more work on the Zombie mechanics it might have led to a much better game.
The game does have a single-player campaign that consists of 20 levels where you have to accomplish the objectives with one life only. As tough as it might sound, this campaign is extremely short, and you'll find it difficult to keep playing it. The game could have been so much more, but alas this is all there is…

If you like Resident Evil: You should avoid this.
Umbrella Corps was a multiplayer based game.
But it died very quickly after the initial release.
Why? Because the actual gameplay is horrible.
And since nobody plays it: It's just unplayable.
Literally just a game with empty lobby screen.
There aren't any bots, so: No way to play this.
Yes, there was a very short singleplayer thing.
But it truly isn't anything worth checking out.
And it's definitely not worth the 14,99€ price.
One of the most 'Refunded' games on Steam.
And overwhelmingly negative reviews overall.
Don't waste your money, It's a dumpster fire.
You will regret your purchase if you buy this.

Umbrella Corps
Introduction to a Broken Game
I am pretty confident that almost every gamer is aware of the famous Umbrella Corporation from the Resident Evil series. This is a game that was made and published by the makers of Resident Evil themselves, CAPCOM. It’s clearly evident that the game has a lot of hate on Steam as its review section is filled with hate comments/reviews. In my opinion, this game deserves the hate, but not this much. I mean, I really liked the gameplay, although it’s highly repetitive, broken, janky, and may get boring after a short while. Capcom basically brought up good ideas in this game and they also brought those ideas crashing down due to broken gameplay.
Game Information
Storyline
This game doesn’t follow an actual storyline. You basically play as a mercenary named 3A7 who carries out objectives under the supervision of two Umbrella Corps Employees; Abraham Jackson and Beatrice Bertrand.
Gameplay Mechanics
This is one of the major fields in which CAPCOM messed up real bad. This game has terrible mechanics. First off, the camera placement is really awkward. It’s not in First-Person or the normal Third-Person. The camera is placed a bit right to the right shoulder of the player. You get a kind of side view.
Well, shooting is not a problem since as long as you get the enemies inside your crosshair, you are guaranteed to hit them. The gunplay is smooth but the weapons are a bit too accurate. The main problem of wielding firearms is that when you scope in, there is a lot of movement penalty. Your, rather fast, character starts moving very slowly. Another problem with the guns is that the reloading time is tremendous. They take too long to reload, which can throw you into a disadvantageous situation if you have terrible aim.
Thirdly, Melee attacks are overpowered. Your normal melee attack is powerful enough to take down more than one enemy in one hit, most of the time whereas guns take several bullets to take down a zombie unless it’s a headshot. Players on the other hand are literally bullet sponges and would take a shit ton of bullets to down an opponent. On top of all these broken combat mechanics, all players are given an Ice Axe-like weapon called the “Debrainer” whose charged shot guarantees a one hit one kill and has a decent attack range. In addition to that, it greatly increases your movement when compared to wielding a firearm. Since players are literal bullet sponges, you can run towards a player who is emptying their magazine at you while wielding your Debrainer and take them out. Although most of your equipment works against you, the overpowered Debrainer is the only trusty ally you have.
Fourthly, movement is just fucked here. In other FPS/TPS Games, you move slower while crouching and even slower when you go prone. But in this game, you move at almost the same speed in all three positions. You can easily go prone and kill zombies with a very less chance of getting spotted but with some back draws. As mentioned above, aiming-down-sight drastically reduces your movement speed, which, funnily enough, crouching or going prone fails to do.
This game is supposed to be a “Cover-Based Game” where you go and hide behind cover and stealthily attacking your enemy. This was a big failure as firstly, the AI is extremely dumb. You can legit run behind them without them noticing you and take them out with a melee hit. To make this concept worse, going into cover is actually dangerous. It leaves your back exposed to those dumb zombies while you are hiding from other players.
In Multiplayer Modes, the spawning/respawning mechanics are very much broken. It’s not fun when you always spawn/respawn in a place that guarantees an instant spawn-kill. This forces you to lose hope completely and regret getting this game.
Visuals and Audios
This is like the only thing that is good in this game. The game has beautiful graphics and visuals, from the main menu and loading screen to the actual game. I loved how the game looks, but these looks do not make up for the broken gameplay.
Everything Else You Need to Know
- The only mechanic which the game has perfected is the leveling up and rank up rewards which act as a strong incentive for your next matches.
- Your character’s outfit is fully customizable, from their outfits to the patches they wear. This allows you to make your character look visually appealing in a world filled with death.
- There’s quite a handful of maps you can play in depending on the mode you play. All of these maps are inspired by the Resident Evil world.
- The game was mainly made to be a multiplayer experience. But they also have a single-player campaign called “The Experimental” where you have certain objectives in the level-based flowchart thing.
- The only Game Mode which is better than the others is the one where you have to kill zombies and collect more DNA Vials than the enemy team. This is very similar to COD’s Kill Confirmed mode. It is better to take the stealth approach here as guns are very loud and could grab the attention of both, your opponents and the zombies.
Pros
- Beautiful Graphics and visuals like the Loading screen, character customization screen, etc.
- Character’s outfits can be fully customizable.
Cons
- Extremely janky controls.
- Very awkward and uncomfortable camera placement.
- Melee and the Debrainer are a way bit too overpowered.
- Movements are broken.
- Players can take a lot of bullets before they can go down whereas zombies can easily be mowed down.
- For a cover-based-shooter, going into cover throws you at a disadvantage. So they failed miserably at achieving the concept they attempted to achieve.
The Final Verdict
Unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros. If I am being kind and honest, please don’t waste your money on this broken game. Although the developers are trying to fix it, they seem to be getting nowhere. For a multiplayer-based game, it has an extremely dead player base. Hence, if you are planning to buy this game, please change your mind and save that money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND getting this game as you are not missing anything even if you don’t play it.

Slicing people up with the Debrainer.....is this what people call as a No Brainer move?

That's this game, but instead of hurting your mouth, you get to live with the knowledge that the time you spent with this game is time on this earth existing that you will never get back.
And you did it to yourself.

I bought it during a Steam sale with some friends to see how bad this game was, and even by going there without any expectation I still found it to be a dreadful excuse of a game.
While I enjoyed the multiplayer on RE5 and RE6, I don’t know what Capcom was thinking when they made this game. Umbrella Corps could have been an interesting idea that had potential, and some Resident Evil fans might have liked a game about one of the several paramilitary organizations used by Umbrella such as the USS, the UBCS, or the Undertaker Unit.
However this game does not bring anything storywise, it has clunky controls, ignorant AI, and an almost pointless multiplayer mode. The textures and graphics are also lacking compared to the other games that came out in 2016.
I don’t recommend this game at all, but if you still wish to try it, I can only recommend you to wait for the next Steam sales. Also, you need to have some friends ready to kill some time if you wish to play it, since it is the only way to enjoy this game now that the the multiplayer mode is completely dead.
If you need to have your fix of multiplayer zombie game, just go for Left 4 Dead 1 or 2; you won’t be disappointed.

Sometime I load into what is known as the endless void of the multiplayer lobby just to take time to sit by myself to get away from things for a couple of days while waiting to just realize I'm alone in this tiny world.
The single player is also interesting and yet again lonely as there's just you and some just as lonely zombies who also just wonder around looking for love just as much as you do.

Your character will get stuck trying to go though a door, he holds his gun like a fucking loser! You do the same shit over and over again! The zombies are cheap and will spawn out of know where! Sometimes you can't see whats coming because your character takes up way too much of the screen! The difficulty starts of really easy, then goes insane at some points! The whole game is a joke! Oh and if you want to change any settings, for example your controls, you can't just simply pause the game and do it, because the zombies with still attack you! And all of this is in single player! I'm not even going to try online! Overall avoid this game at all costs!

The gameplay is decent and the maps bring back some old memories but sadly there is so much problems. There is a lot of connection issues I found and de-sync between players. I also found that it was more of a run and gun game then working as a team tactical shooter. I also found lack of use for the npcs zombies/monsters on the map as they just became more decoration then any threat to any one (like come on should have a boss jump in randomly to mess with the players.)
Overall I recommend you avoid this game.
