1. Huge list of characters all at no extra cost neither real money nor ingame money unlike the newest Street Fighter that Capcom made so A+ to the Capcom of the past(not deep past but still).
1.5. The characters aren't teased at as it is in SFV, what you see is what you get.
2. Its easy for beginners to play while still keeping with the awesomeness you'd expect from a more difficult fighter, most that claims to be easy its easy at the expense of certain cool stuff like combos and specials
ETC.
I don't care that you can't have a versus with the CPU but that could just be because of the nature of the game.
All around fun experience would recommend.

EDIT: only 4 online matches so far. Most of my play time was single player(mission mode). I'm going to update after at least 10 matches.
EDIT 2: keep in mind this game was been around since 2011/2012 on consoles. I'm seaching ranked, player and lobby with same region and any level, but didn't find no matches.
Gonna try and find a friend close to my region I can complete 10 online matches.

As a fighting game, Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 can be notably overwhelming for newcomers to learn at first, and will take practice. But longtime fans of either a few characters or franchises, or the series as whole, will likely find something to enjoy from this crossover fighting game. Additionally, Marvel fans will enjoy the return of many voice actors from several Marvel-based animated series, including The Spectacular Spider-Man, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and Wolverine and the X-Men.
This chapter of the Marvel VS Capcom series also brings several new faces to the series, including the introduction of Capcom characters from Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, Mega Man X, and Dead Rising, as well as Marvel fan-favorites like Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider, and Rocket Raccoon. Longtime veterans of the series such as Wolverine, Chun-Li, Spider-Man, and Morrigan also return, now sporting full 3D models and English voice acting as yet another first for the series.
With plenty of characters from this game having since appeared on the big screen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe along with iconic characters of Street Fighter and Resident Evil, there's a good chance you'll find a handful of characters to enjoy playing as in this game, and I'd highly recommend it.

A casual fighting game player reviews Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Marvel and Capcom make great partners when it comes to games. Their partnership has given us classics like X-Men: Children of the Atom and Marvel Super Heroes. These titles ultimately led to the creation of the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise.
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is a 2011 game that finally came to the PC in 2017. Although it’s an old game with a non-existent online scene nowadays, it’s still worth playing given it’s the only MvC game on the PC to date that has mutant characters in its roster of fighters. (Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, it’s totally not cool to deliberately exclude the X-Men.) Here’s what I think of UMvC3 in this installment of A Casual Fighting Game Player Reviews….
ROSTER
A major appeal of MvC games has always been the selection of characters. The roster of fighters in UMvC3 is eclectic. On the Marvel side, there’s a mix of popular (e.g. Captain America, Spider-Man, Wolverine), less well-known at the time but now popular among general public (e.g. Doctor Strange, Deadpool), and niche (e.g. MODOK, Taskmaster) characters. While it’s disappointing to see some X-Men characters who appeared in previous games absent, it’s also nice to have more representation from other Marvel comic titles.
On the Capcom side, the list is just as varied, but more baffling. Characters from Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, Final Fight and Strider expectedly returned. As with the X-Men, a number of Street Fighter veterans who appeared in previous MvC games were cut. Their spots were filled by newcomers Dante, Trish and Vergil from Devils May Cry games, and by Viewtiful Joe. Although their inclusion are surprisingly appropriate, the same can’t be said for characters from Resident Evil, Dead Rising, Okami, Ghosts ’n Goblins, Bionic Commando and Phoenix Wright games.
With that, there’re a total of 50 characters to choose from, which I find it’s a bit too many for my taste. “Fighters” like Frank West and Phoenix Wright seem out of place in the game, and are more like joke characters. While I wouldn’t mind seeing a leaner list of fighters, I must admit the idea of seeing characters like those two, plus Amaterasu and Nemesis T-Type fight Galactus is ludicrously humourous.
PRESENTATION/GRAPHICS
A major reason for my love of Capcom’s fighting games from the mid- to late-1990s is their visual appeal. The anime art and bright colours in those games are gorgeous, and they match the sensibilities of many Marvel comic book titles. Because of my love and nostalgia for that art style, the new art direction taken for UMvC3 disappointed me at first.
Yet, I soon learned to appreciate game’s use of inky black outlines and shadows, much like that found in Street Fighter IV and in graphic novels. Seeing how many of the featured fighters have a bit of darkness to them, or that their artistic depictions benefit from the use the thick black outlines, I now understand how the chosen art style is actually fitting.
Like many modern fighting games, UMvC3 features 3D character models. Capcom smartly used cel-shading for rendering, allowing the characters to stay true to their looks in comic books and games. The use of 3D models also allows for cinematic Hyper Combo animations be created. Yet, the real benefit of this over sticking with 2D sprites is the resizing of characters without sacrificing image quality. This was put to great use in the battle against Galactus. Let’s just say that my first encounter with him shook me to the core, and that’s even before he started attacking me!
GAMEPLAY
UMvC3 is a fast-paced 3v3 tag team fighting game. What makes this game stand out among others is using your two teammates to assist you briefly in your fights. By tagging them in, they can attack your opponent or execute special moves, allowing combos be chained to deal damages in the hundreds. This makes UMvC3 very exciting to play, but also slightly hard to master if you’re used to traditional 1v1 or 3v3 fighting games.
The game’s slightly steep learning curve is in part due to the absence of a proper tutorial mode. There’s a Mission Mode, in which you complete a series of trials for each playable character. While it’s a different way to teach players how to play the game, it’s unnecessarily cumbersome.
In truth, you don’t really need to use teammate assist to finish the game, especially at Very Easy or Easy difficulty. Knowing how to tag in your teammates and judiciously use your Hyper Combo gauge will maximize your success and fun though, especially at Normal difficulty or higher. UMvC3 is not an easy game even at Normal difficulty, and it’s advisable that you familiarize yourself with techniques like Snap Back and Crossover Attacks.
ONLINE
At the time of this review, the online scene for UMvC3 is dead. This is a three-year-old game, and MvC players likely have moved on to Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. So, unless you have friends who also play this game on the PC, you’re pretty much out of luck in finding online matches. For achievement hunters, this also means you won’t be able to acquire several achievements related to playing online.
FUN FACTOR
This game is really fun, especially if you’re looking for a fighting game starring Marvel comic book characters. While some Capcom characters are underwhelming, the game delivers great intensity with the tag team and combo chaining mechanics. Yet, I found the fun short-lived, in part due to the repetitiveness of the offline game modes. With the online scene non-existent, I called it quits after I finished the game using my favourite characters.
The Story Mode is pitiful. Each of the 50 characters only has an unvoiced ending consisting of two static comic book panels. Only the hero who dealt the finishing move on Galactus gets his/her/its ending unlocked. To see all endings the traditional way, you’d need to defeat Galactus at least 50 times, assuming you manage to have the desired character deliver the killing blow.
In the Heroes and Heralds Mode, you play as either Earth-defending Heroes or as Galactus’ Heralds. You also build and use your ability card deck against opponents whose powers are also upgraded by their own cards. Again, there’s a lot of repetition in collecting cards and building a winning deck. It’s not a mode that will appeal to all.
There’s also Galactus Mode, in which you play as the villain to defeat waves of Earth-defending heroes. It was fun to play the first a couple of times, and was a great way to earn a couple of achievements. Yet, the novelty soon wore off for me. So, unless you’re a completionist or all about mastering the game, the gameplay in UMvC3 can get tiresome quickly.
SHOULD YOU PLAY UMvC3?
Yes, especially if you enjoy a fast-paced, strategic, and challenging 3v3 tag team fighting game, and don’t mind the inactive online scene. Although UMvC3 is not the most current entry in the MvC franchise, it still delivers intense gameplay and dazzling cinematics. With an eclectic selection of characters that includes X-Men mutants to choose from, you’ll likely be pleased with various trios of fighters you can assemble. Depending on how much you like the game’s offline offerings, the fun you’ll have may be brief. However, I still think it’s worth your time to check out UMvC3.

I WANNA TAKE YOU FOR A RIDE
Really fun 3v3 vs game but you'll probably have to use parsec and join a discord for online play. So much love was put into this game.
Pros
+ Really fun game play
+ Fantastic comic book art style
+ Fantastic Soundtrack
+ Great roster
+ Charming af stages
+ Amazing intro just wish they had the ones from Vanilla too.
+ Great voice acting
+ Gallery mode character illustrations, art books, game sounds, even the games manual arts in there.
+ Arcade mode its quick and to the point
+ Heros and Heralds mode gimmicky but a fun little mess around.
Cons
- the online... my god the online but thats where parsec comes in to save the day.
- player base is pretty low being an older game and again the netcode is just not good. You'll probably find people on discords tho.
- Tutorial is there but pretty bare. Understandable for when it came out tho. Recommend checking Max's assist me series for a little more in depth stuff on the game.
- X factor... um i'm not even going to get into it.
Should you buy Ultimate Mahvel 3?
YES BIG YES. Game goes on sale a lot. Is it perfect? god no, but its pretty damn fun.

I have a Ryzen 5 -2500U enabled laptop, it works solid.
I recommend to anybody looking for a fighting game on lighter machines or have already played on console. Your controllers will work well with this.
