The Wandering Village
has a really nice style for a Strategy-Survival Game and a nice concept with its theme in which Players right away start on the Back of a Giant Creature that, like the Title of the Game already gives away, wanders around.
And with the Change of the Creatures Position there comes also changes to the Environment the Villagers will find themselfs in and the Players has to help them to survive by building and harvesting various different Things.
Also the Creature that carries the Villagers arround require the Players attention from time to time.
The Tutorial is well made and easaly leads Players into this Game and how it works.
With different Houses, Technology, Research and assignable Jobs for Villagers, there is a high variety on how to prepare or fight against challenges that the Changes of the climate, cold, hot, swampy, etc, will throw against the Player.
The best Part of this Game is its nice and, even if its survival, still relaxing and enjoyable theme. If you want to just lean back for a while you can play on normal Speed, or if it isnt fast enough there are sliders to speed up the tempo to force events to happen more early. Even an implemented difficulty Setting helps to get a more preferred Gameworld.
And for sure the best Part are the interactions with the giant Creature. At the Beginning just a low amount, but over the course of a Game the relationship between the Villagers and the Creature lead to more options like letting it know when it can safely rest or to feed it or healing it etc.
For this Game i will not count negatives at the moment, because it is still in an Early Access state.
So far tho i can say, that i am already impressed by it and i am looking forward to future updates in the hope that they implement even more Biomes and Buildings and Gameplay-Options.
I recommend this Game to People who like to enjoy chillig Strategy-Survival Games and who also love simple Graphic, but still artistic style.
---------------------------------
Points i give this Game (Average: 7,04 / 10):
8,7 / 10 graphics (Nice choice to go that 2D Drawing Style in a 3D World, it really gives it a nice artistic touch)
8,5 / 10 Gameplay (Easy to get into the Game)
6,4 / 10 Story (The Main-Story is good so far, but i would like to see a little more sidequests and unique Side-Character Stories to tell a bite more about the World they life in)
7,4 / 10 City-Management and variety of Buildings (City Management is easy, the Building variety maybe a little bit low, but that is likely to Early Access state and i hope they increase the amount of possible Buildings)
4,2 / 10 Soundtrack (There are a few Tracks, but for the Playtime it takes for one Playthrough i would like to hear a higher variety of Tracks to not getting the same over and over)

I reviewed it negatively to say I don't recommend because it's just not worth the money; after 10 hours I'd literally done everything and if I'm being honest, it had already gotten quite repetitive a few hours before that. £20 is a relatively high price for a 10 hour game compared to some stuff on the market you can get hundreds of hours of fun for less.
I will gladly change my review at some point providing they either halve the cost, or significantly increase the content because it's not a bad game at it's core - there just isn't enough of it to remotely justify the price so right now I cannot recommend.

As for being early release, I encountered no bugs. Everything works beautifully.
What's best about it? It's nice to have survival city builder which offers something more than simply building and managing your city. You have to pay attention to the map and keep alive the creature that carries your village. It's a fun take on city builder. Also, Onbu is really cute.

The tech tree is short but takes a long time to explore. The requirements for a scavenger group to get the knowledge for the final tier upgrades also isn't explained.
The poisonous plants which occur pretty early on don't appear to get out of hand but if you don't drop everything and put everyone to work at them they will never disappear. In my second playthrough I tried to focus more on this but even with a focus on them and every important building related to them I still couldn't even notice a dent.
It is an interesting idea for a game and I hope they fix these problems and flesh out the story and tech tree in the future.
